I've said this before, but there should be a Retro Line of shirts available in the Club Shop. You don't have to worry about sponsors names, nor will they go 'out of fashion'. They will sell. It's a no-brainer isn't it ! Wear my Bukta shirt all the time...wore it to Wembley....and if you Google Toffs you can find all sort of discount vouchers to get maybe 10-15% off RRP too. Managed to get a good deal on the 1940s/50s shirt too. Club missing a trick with Retro items.

Just seen on Facebook that Bobby Jones passed away today - anyone have any official confirmation? Very sad news, one of my all time favourite players.

This true, after a defeat the crowd were on the players back Buckle said not to listen to to those Bristol Fools kitey took offense and had him by the throat. It was a night game and we lost 3 nil to port vale, crowd booed, I believe more so buckle off, he was getting a lot of stick. In the tunnel, he apparently said all bristolians are c@#ts, PK took offense and lifted him by the throat. I also believe that Phil is a good judge of character. I understood that Kitey was helping to hang that nice Mr. Buckle's jacket up on a coat hook. It was a mere coincidence that Mr. Buckle was wearing the jacket at the time.

it's pretty weird to think that a guy my sister has bumped into in westbury tesco 20 yards from my house is actually playing the world champions.... Is that how he got his injury? Literally bumped into Frankie Prince in Fishponds Woolworths about 1972. Then heard he would miss the next match with a knee injury. So belated apologies to all. Sorry.

not as good as a pasty.... good effort though.... Wasn't a pasty despatched in the general direction of Steve Evans (Rotherham manager) a couple of years ago? I recall he was not best pleased.

Latest news is DC has been shortlisted for the Plymouth job.... Not sure how much truth in this though tbf Looking at the Plymouth Forum it is Lee Clark they seem to be mentioning, not our Darrell. Fan's favourite appears to be Brian McDermott.

Checked all the Evil Post photos. Not one of my lad and myself. Gutted. Could be that I am an ugly old bugger mind.

Rovers v. Swindon. September 1966. My grandfather bought tickets in the South Stand for him, my cousin and myself. Won 3-0 I recall, but the abiding memory was how the South Stand seemed to sway violently whenever Rovers scored. Must have been the roar from the Tote End. Was hooked from that day forward. Kept the programme and managed to get it signed last year by Harold Jarman, Dave Stone and Ray Mabbutt.

Anyone else have views on travel time if parking near stadium ? 4 hours puts me off a bit of driving and parking nearby. In the past we have parked at an underground station, but looks like paying on the day will cost £12 for an underground ticket ( what a rip off, was about £8 last time ). any tricks to get the tube cost down, or any decent mainline stations with cheap fares in ? A lot of us going so a few pounds saved adds up for the whole group. I am not driving this time, but have parked before in the side streets of Chiswick tube station, but that was a few years ago I don't know if there are permits in force now though. The only cheap option on the tube these days is to use an Oyster Card or use contactless card payment - this usually cuts the cost of a normal fare in half or thereabouts.

Just spoken to the club, lady there (didn't get her name, should have) was very helpful and sympathetic. Seems they been providing the data to Seetickets but getting all sorts of problems. Anyway it would seem my postcode was incorrect on the database. Redid my online application and sailed through ok. Me and son of Eastville1966 will be there. UTG.
