It's certainly a tough week at work with productivity at an all-time low. Still, now my tickets have finally arrived at least I can stop refreshing the See Tickets customer service page - so one less thing taking up work time!
Really can't wait for Sunday: it's always amazing to see so many gasheads in the same place at the same time!!! Just need the win. How I hope we give them a 3-0 first half thrashing so we can just relax and enjoy the occasion second half!!

I can see my wife's signature on the royal mail tracker so I know my tickets have arrived, and yet no text or call from her to put my mind at rest. Disgusting behaviour!

So conference footy give the current rate of sales, but not the totals for each team. I should probably un-follow their twitter account and forget about the Wembley attendance all together.
Anyway, see you all tomorrow at the same time for another grumble.

I have confirmation of my order, but not of dispatch. Just a bit annoying as unless the tickets arrive tomorrow I'll have to collect the tickets from the post office as nobody will be home to sign for them. Had I known they'd sit on my order for this long I wouldn't have bothered paying the for special delivery. Bought mine early evening on Tuesday. Didn't pay for special delivery, and they still arrived Saturday lunch time. Might be worth contacting them this evening if you've still not received any further update. Just checked the customer service tracker and it says tickets were prepared for dispatch today. No email through yet, but it seems this is a step in the right direction! Can finally begin to relax and enjoy the game build up...

What's with the use of ratios: why can't See Tickets or the Conference Twitter feed just give us a straight forward breakdown.
So if the latest figure includes neutrals and the ratio is 2.4:1, I guess the breakdown is roughly...
- Neutrals: 5,000 - Grimsby: 10,500 - Rovers: 25,200

I'm getting increasingly frustrated at how slow See Tickets are to dispatch tickets. I ordered mine first thing Thursday and paid the extra for special delivery - with the sole purpose of reducing last minute stress - but it looks like I'm in for a tense week ahead. Crikey! I'd be worried. I mean you've only got 6 days for them to arrive.... You'll be fine. Do you have email confirmation? I have confirmation of my order, but not of dispatch. The vid is professional enough, but I found it slightly over sentimental and uninspiring to be honest.
The older guy staring in it is becoming a bit of minor celeb - wasn't he on the BT sport build-up?

If they use the Royal Mail then I guess they can't be despatched until Monday? Good to see Grimsby are creeping towards selling 20,000 as that suggests a 50,000+ attendance. Yeah you could be right - I suppose it depends on their definition of "dispatched". If they have people lined up licking and stickin' tickets in envelopes over the weekend, I'll let them off

Lower tier: 34,303 Middle tier: 16,532 Upper tier: 39,165
Ok, I might be watering in the wind on this one, but ....... Lower tier: 34,303, though of this circa 5000 are neutral and circa 2800 are Bobby Moore area, which would give circa 26500, or 13250 each From Sea tickets 'GTFC' are currently selling the last 3 blocks, for which most are 75%+ sold, so would hope by tonight we have the full 13250 Of the Middle tier: 16,532 (c8250 each), for which we had already sold 10 out of the 26 blocks, or about 3000, remaining 16 blocks wont go on sale until after Teir 1 is sold out Thus currently looks like circa 16000 for GTFC at the moment Sounds realistic, but it'd be so much easier if See Tickets just provided a full breakdown - they must have all the stats at their fingertips.
Also, it seems See Tickets down tools over the weekend as the % of tickets dispatched appears to have gone down. You'd think a company running ticketing for so many big events would be staffed over weekends.

Although at the beginning I thought we'd take 40k, on reflection 30k will be an amazing effort.
I totally agree with those saying the novelty factor of wembley has gone - I know of the people in my group that went in 07 about half haven't been to a game since and of those some don't even like football! It was just a day out in London and a chance to get involved in a carnival atmosphere...
I suspect the noise/atmosphere on Sunday will be every bit as good as in 07 as the crowd will be made up of a higher proportion of dedicated rovers fans - can't wait! It's going to feel like a loooong week at work!

My prediction is it'll creep over the 40k line by Monday and we'll end up with about 43k by next Sunday. Can't see many tickets being snapped up in the week

I've been there a few times for NFL games - very good venue. They put on BBQs for the NFL too - the chilli burgers / dogs were AMAZING!!! Hope they're serving them next Sunday - though I suspect they were put on mainly for the large American contingent!

Your point is big crowd doesn't mean success? That's true, but it can give the team a lift when needed, and it makes it more fun on the terraces - whatever the result My point was debating whether outnumbering the opposition intimidates them. Give the team a lift? Not for Rovers it doesn't, unless your memory only stretches back 1 season? More fun? Hey, if we win it matters little how many are on the terrace. In fact the most fun is often had away from home in lesser numbers. You could also argue that bigger numbers for us have hampered the team in the past. We went on a bad run of fan promotion games with bumper crowds and fell short pretty much every time! Look. Let's just enjoy the occasion without getting carried away prematurely. I wasn't at Wembley 2007 since I only started supporting last week when we got in the playoffs, I was a Yeovil fan. Apologies, I didn't realise that was the point you were making. Yeah I doubt outnumbering their fans will intimidate the Grimsby players at all - but I suspect it will give our players one hell of a boost as they run out, and in the closing stages of the game when they've run themselves into the ground and need some inspiration..!

True. But would our triumph back in '07 have been such an amazing and memorable occasion without the 40k gasheads going mental as the third goal went in? You could say 'yes' but it wouldn't have felt QUITE the same for me if there were only 15k there and empty seats all around me. It was the gas army that was the cherry on the cake I reckon.. What has that got to do with the point in discussion? Your point is big crowd doesn't mean success? That's true, but it can give the team a lift when needed, and it makes it more fun on the terraces - whatever the result
