Deadline, not date - could be an important difference! Yes good point.

Is it officially still Andy Tillson from 30 years ago? Can’t be another club with a transfer record that old? There was some speculation that Nichols was higher but I’m not convinced. Tillo at 450k isn’t it ? I am sure it was £375k.

It’s what JB does though isn’t it? In weeks when we don’t have a mid week match I honestly think he gets a bit bored. He shakes things up by making a noteworthy headline. Oldie’s right in a way in that I also wish he’d concentrate on coaching the squad, when he does that we do very well. But reading the whole article I also think good for him, it’s great that he’s showing ambition, a bit of commitment and making a headline solely about BRFC without ****ing off any other teams or players. And basically he’s cleverly saying what a lot of fans are dreaming of. Isn’t he? I think he’s ambitious and I like the fact that he thinks his ambition is matched by us. Been a long time since that’s happened. I also wonder if it’s not a message to Wael as well to sort out the ground. I may be wrong on that. J It’s an understatement to say we need a new ground but I’ve never been embarrassed about the Mem or even Eastville in the last few years and that was a lot worse, imo. I won’t go over old stuff about our need for a ground or at least some communication from the AQs about what’s happening but it’s never embarrassed me. Other fans talk about us as a team but rarely do they talk about our ground in my experience and I see a lot of football outside of us. We are a lower league football club at present with ambitions to be better. It is what it is. I get annoyed at the silence from the AQs, I get frustrated with nothing happening and I get confused at the AQs seemingly doing little to offset our real need (things may be happening but with no communication how do we know?) But not embarrassed. At the Mem I watch the football and it’s been good over the past year. Come on Wael, sort out the ground. UTG! It could be a message to Wael about the ground, lets hope it is needed at some point in the next few years. But I thought it more likely a message to Wael that money will be needed to improve the team in January and/or over the summer. "I still think we're a couple of bodies away from having a group capable of challenging to get out of the division. But, again, we're making a decent fist of what would be a season of consolidation,"

At what age were Mings and Barnes with us? Mings was at Yate and Barnes Paulton neither were part of our youth set up. Collins and Doidge were rejected as youngsters by Rovers. A few years ago whilst he was still playing for Chippenham Town Tyrone Mings was also working for London and Country Mortgage brokers, I arranged a mortgage through them and he was the case manager. We had a couple of long chats about football as I recognised the name and he told me he had a short spell with rovers but it didn't work out.

Sad but true. This thread try's to keep the "new stadium" dream alive; although, lets be honest as of today there is little chance of a new stadium being built within the next 5 years (hope I am proved wrong). Utg The new flats that are close to completion and on the bank of the cut, have had the developers pull out and they are looking for a new group or firm to finish them. I’d love to know why this happened and when they are so close to being fully built. Maybe they know something that others do not, maybe a stadium being built, nearby ? 🤩 If its the same flats that Bristol Live reported on a few days ago, wasn't it a case of the developers going bust and making all of their staff redundant?

Leave it on the whole match I believe. You won’t even see the button to watch the match without VPN on. Also, turning it off would mean you might flag up on a system somewhere, so not worth the risk. I’d try ensure you’re as close to your router as possible (or even wired connection) if you’re worried about speed. I don’t usually have problems with it tbh, but depends on your internet/VPN. More recently they’ve been clamping down on the available VPNs. During the Rochdale game I got booted out twice - first for the first goal and secondly for the celebrations for the final goal. I’d definitely be leaving VPN on throughout if I was watching today. I have been being kicked out exactly every 10 minutes for most games I have watched this season. If anyone else has had this and found a way over it any advice greatly welcome. I have tried using different ip protocols, multihop connections, different vpn servers etc. The best way I minimise impact, is if a player goes down injured or there is a substitution etc. after 7minutes of the 10, I log out and relog into ifollow (takes about 20 seconds) which restarts the timer.

It only holds 61,000 We’d have 42,476 locked out. UTG No, only 42,475 locked out as I will be on holiday in Greece. Only divorce will get me to the final should Rovers play in it. Will it be on ifollow abroad? It will be on Sky Sports.

It's a big ask, but there's no harm in dreaming. You never know how the final dice may fall, how many of us had to cancel Wembley hotel rooms in 2016? No way will it be automatic. Playoffs? Would be nice although play off finals are May 29th so I may just have to watch that in a bar in the sun. You will probably still have to watch it sat in a bar in the sun - but the League 2 Play Off Final 2022 is Saturday May 28th. League One Play-Off Final – Saturday 21 May 2022 League Two Play-Off Final – Saturday 28 May 2022 Championship Play-Off Final – Sunday 29 May 2022 www.efl.com/news/key-dates/

Well that was awful, most of the players completely off the game tonight.
I have to say those saying that Harries is a liability are completely wrong, he is far worse than that. There is no excusing it, I don't like criticising players as they try there best, but not only is his best on par with Bristol and District 5, he doesn't even try half the time, so lacklustre, awful.

Anybody know what's happened to Whelan? I am sure I read he was missing from the Swindon game for family reasons - presumably the same again last night.

Impossible to have been over 7k because we restricted standing to 3,999 and only have 3,000 seats? Club gave out the attendance as 7004 so not sure they would have risked Breaching covid rules by giving out a false attendance overshooting the cap? The match report on the official website also records the attendance at 7004 - so I guess even if a mistake was made on the day that would have been rectified by now.

Sell on fee must be at least 10℅ ? It was reported to be 20%, but nothing official just what the media said was "understood".

We do - and yes it would be a nice earner from memory I think we’re potentially get £1.2mil. If the reported £1.25m we got for JCH was correct and the 20% sell on clause also reported was correct and Peterborough do get £6m for JCH. Then I think BRFC will we stand to get 20% of £4.75m, as I believe that sell on clauses tend to only be due on the fee above what the club (Peterborough) paid the original selling club (Bristol Rovers). So £950k, still a nice little windfall if it does happen.

They won't be in a hotel they will be at home watching The Chase by now. A jury has to stay isolated until the case is over, unless they have changed the law since i did jury service. I think Jury Sequestration is only reserved for the most high profile, most heinous type of crimes. Most Juries, I think, are told to go home and isolate from anything to do with the case.
