No it is factual, these players have been brought in because they have Northern Nous, they have not been brought in because they are exciting young prospects who will eventually be playing for Manchester City or Barcelona. These guys are at our club because they know how to Rock and Roll, they are not here to Tip Toe Through The Tulips. There is nothing about these characters that says "After You Claude". With all due respect, if you look at your original post to try to pick out the facts and opinions
"Players signed for their tenacity" - Opinion, but based on what the manager has been saying and I think what a lot of other fans agree with this is probably a reasonable supposition. "Two are 30 plus and have only one year deals" - Fact, based on the information released by the club. "So they have travelled south for one last pay day" - Opinion, how can you possibly know what they have been offered money wise, if they had other deals offered, what their motivations were etc... "The other two in their twenties would not be wanted by any team above level four" - Opinion, how do you know what other every other team/managers think of these players?
Lots of opinion not a lot of fact for me...
On your last post - I also think that they have been brought in to add a bit of grit and determination to the team. I don't think we would have the chance of signing any young prospects who are touted to be future Man City or Barcelona players as they tend to be playing for other top flight clubs even from a young age. Just my opinions of course.

Initially I thought it a mistake by kilgour by trying to head it back to day, but on the replay I think Aneke wins the head to put Washington in for the 3rd goal.

I thought exactly the same o2. Paul Tisdale will have to be something else. Everyone knows who JW, DC, PT, GC and BG are. If Tisdale is appointed he’ll have to be PTs, until he gets us up to the Championship and then we’ll have to change them around because he’ll have earnt PT. UTG! Or if Tisdale is appointed we use 'Tis' instead.

This team will never be a team of blood and thunder run around and bully kind of team - it’s a more technical passing side and whilst I think we can sometimes do it a bit too much , the pass it around the back is all about keeping the ball and slowly moving up the pitch whilst probing and looking for a forward break. Our issue against Peterborough was our poor performances from our wing backs and our lack of desire to take an early shot. I can't disagree with any of your post, however in addition to the above bit I also think that there are a couple of other issues with the way that we are playing at the moment. - When the ball is being played across the back 3, there is often no outlet for them in midfield. Forcing them to play it around the back more and giving the opposition time to close them down and make a mistake / lump the ball forward.
- Quite often when the ball does move forward into midfield in a dangerous position, the pace is very slow once the player picks it up / they have little options themselves and the ball is lost / played back to the back three giving the opposition time to get back into their formation and close us down.

Sometimes sloppy in possession but spirited performance, jaakola is a tremendous keeper, thought we were lucky at times, Ehmer great stop on the line, but felt Daly should have had a pen second half, and Grant should have hit the target first half. We have a young inexperienced team who will only get better. Had the pre match whirl circle, dont understand why Home games are easy to get but away makes me wonder will I see any action. Same for me. Had to download the EFL ifollow app in the end and get the game on that. Getting the impression you can only get home games via the club website. For away games you need to use the EFL ifollow app. Can anyone confirm that or explain why the club website is so bad for away games? It was the opposite for me, used the app for Saturdays game, but no live game would appear for me tonight. I got tonights game via the live match centre on the website.

Thank you ! No relation to Dayle - I think he's back at WSM. Evander was only 5ft 2 when they released him - you can sort of understand. The CAT 3 academies don't have the luxury of waiting. He grew during lockdown, which really helped. We've got and will always have great affection for the club. Those coaches go over and above for the players. He's a much better person for it too. I still can't find out how to reply directly to a message 🙄

Doubt the club says anything, more likely agents who want teams to think their player has other options. Might not be interested in coming to us at all but a bit of speculation helps increase wages or speeds up a deal elsewhere. Agreed likely to be agents, but rumours can work in the favour of the club as well... "We understand your client wants £x pw to sign for us on a 3 year deal and we really think that he would fit in with our team and club. However we are also talking to Joe Blogs and Fred Smith who albeit are not quite as good a fit or as highly rated as your client are looking for significantly less money and may accept a 2 year deal. Allowing us to free up some wages to strengthen in other areas"

But then if we don't sign anyone we only have 17 hours to sign the two number 9's that DC wants. PHEW! Oh that's ok then. It's Thursday night. Plenty of time. Panic over. Absolutely not okay, the deadline is 5pm on Thursday evening though, that's is all.

As he's not yet officially signed, would you have his rumour of signing back? I really hope it drags on til 11.59pm Wednesday night It's so much more entertaining than late night tele and as the weather is just hot, no variables, it gives us something to talk/moan about But then if we don't sign anyone we only have 17 hours to sign the two number 9's that DC wants.

For me the issue with parking is a valid one. If there was a park & ride, or other easily accessible mode of transport from areas a bit further out without having to take 2 or 3 busses it could tempt more people in on matchday. I'm not the only fan I know that finds the traffic situation off-putting. agree with you only problem first group would probably run it who let's be honest could not organise water up in brewery!!! I cannot actually believe I am going to say this but I will... Before First Bus won the contract for the park and rides around Bristol back in September last year, I thought that the company running the service (CTPlus) were doing a good job and used it daily, with only a minimal problems now and again and often outside of the bus companies control. However since First Bus have taken over, I think the service has improved, the buses run on time are every 10 minutes during peak period, leave the park and ride on time etc. I cannot really think of anything to complain about...Prices are slightly more expensive (but not excessive), however tickets are easier to buy and load times are generally a lot quicker. I only wish the same could be said for the normal first bus service into town I use from time to time.

Ryan is joining Friday according to KC - we shall see Considering he originally said he was signing last week I'm doubting that. On the other hand, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Not if it is broken because the hands fell off :)

To be fair the bloke writing the articles is just doing his job. If you don't like it my suggestion would be to ignore all the tweets you don't like and read only the ones you do.
Keep in mind also that any tweets about player recruitment will be made when the club tell him to and not before. Besides if the club ain't signing the players or are but aren't releasing the details it clearly ain't this blokes fault.
If the little children replying to him on twitter had half a brain cell between them they would be dangerous.

Oh sorry. But that's probably gone too. Apparently we handed a large portion of that onto florist green :jawdrop: My memory isn't the best if I am honest, but wasn't Matty Taylor out of contract at Forest Green (summer of 2014) and we signed him for the 2014 - 2015 season? Thus meaning FGR wouldn't have been paid a fee or had a deal with us to pay any % of a sell on?
EDIT :- The old grey matter ain't as bad as I thought - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/27871117

Is this still Rollin on ? Is someone going to end up with egg on there face? name your sauce?... menayese ? (never could spell Mayo) So is that a guess or do you have some knowledge. It fits what others have said on the thread previously about the young CB.

Oh dear. So we did indeed make a signing and as he couldn't play for us ( he is under contract) he will remain with his club until the summer. So we have signed a player who is still signed at another club? So your saying 2 clubs have his registration? Strange, thought that wouldn't have been allowed? I thought a player out of contract at the end of the season could sign a pre-contract agreement with another club after the Jan transfer window closes.

Not sure a Linkedin profile supports anything, the fact nobody has reported seeing him at a Rovers match recently says a lot more? Plus if money is tight surely his wages are better spent on a CH/CM anyway? As regards the other poster saying there's no point saying we have money, the permanent signings since our promotion suggest DC's doesn't have a lot of cash to spend. Just wanted to point out that even if Will Dubey had left the club (which it seems has been confirmed that he hasn't) his wages being off the payroll would not necessarily give DC any more money to work with on the playing front because FFP which is what is limiting us only covers players wages.

I have been many times for Christmas meals with my skittles team. The food is fantastic, most of the team think the entertainment is great, personally I have a great night if it is a comedian or a reasonably modern singer. I haven't had as great a night when it has been an singer who just signs Elvis songs. It isn't a football orientated evening at all, in fact if you took the pictures of the old rovers players down from the walls, you wouldn't even know you were at the Mem.
Overall for a group of people, it gets a huge big thumbs up from the team.

how does one solve a problem like this? serious qu When I used to administer websites and forums, the best way was to keep use a captcha and keep it bang up to date. It probably isn't possible for this forum but I also used to ban at an a country ip level as I knew people using the forums would only be from one or two countries. I would then ban ip's from countries who were where I wanted traffic on an individual level when a bot got through.

I often wonder if we should all go visit these websites and leave them similar sorts of messages, left reviews etc saying www.gaschat.co.uk your best place for jovial Bristol Rovers banter and news.
