I've got 2 dogs, Border Terriers actually. Does that count towards whatever we're  trying to prove? As an attempt to address the title of this thread, I have now read the post that led to its thead being locked. The comment was made in jest, of that I am sure. However I would have to say I found it to be crass, and a bit insulting to our Middle Eastern owners who appear to be respectable business people, not given to displaying any strong leanings toward religious beliefs or practices. Contast them with that bigoted Eco-Warrior up the road in Nailsworth, forcing vegetarian crap on paying customers etc etc. The A Q family may very well be Muslims, but they haven't banned alcohol from the stadium or foisted Halal products on us. Live and let live I say. are they Muslims ? |

Don't know actually, I just assumed they were. im sure they are Sikh,I remember a minute silence when they first took over for a terrorist attack and after the blackthorn end were singing we hate muslims I can't imagine that would be sung if they were |

Looking back over the locked "Ian Holtbygate" thread he probably took unbridge at being called, and I quote " Vile racist scum" for a mildly unwise joke. As usual, those parading their PC medals think it gives them carte Blanche to viciously abuse someone who they have decided was being racist. Its the new Spanish Inquisition I'm afraid, and no-one was expecting that. |

Am I the only one who is concerned at the amount of threads that are locked or anchored ? what is the criteria the mods use ? I hooe it is not an individual decision. Surely it would be better to delete the offending post ot the thread completely as leaving something up that nobody can comment on does not make sense on a forum. I also don't think it is necessary for a mod to say he is locking the thread. Well said. Totally agree |

People who have been accused of being racist are now expected to accept the charge without question so it can be shown that they have been re-educated. It wouldn't do the accuser any harm to back pedal and apologise for their over-zealous reverse bigotry. as I have said, the accuser in matters of racism must always have the last word, so I won't be holding my breath. its a sad, topsy turvey world we now live in. |

I imagine a few more people will close their accounts if these pc knobs aren't brought into line. Maybe the mods could moderate them and their uncalled for comments. After all, people have been taken to court for calling people more pleasant things. This may not be twitter or facebook but it's still in writing and the mods would have to give up a username's home address, ip address etc if instructed to by legal people.
