For the record, some of the mod team discussed the comment that was made GG behind closed doors. Some thought a ban others thought a warning would sufffice. I contacted Gaz this morning via PM and explained the situation. I issued him with a warning as if to say, don't do it again as the whole subject at the moment is becoming inflammatory. He PM me back saying he was leaving. So no one banned GG. It was only mentioned a couple of days ago that we have to take a consistent stance on anything posted that may contain a racial slur or stereo type, regardless of how small or insignificant it may seem to be, even if you disagree with it, and if ones continued to do it there would be warnings or bans issued. The whole mod team aren't asking for much, after all this is a football forum about BRFC. Thing is, whatever us mods do or don't do, it is going to be unpopular with someone. This stance doesn't mean we are all of a certain opinion as some posters are implying but we are tying to be all things to all sorts. I'm not sure if we have any Asian gas heads, I'm sure we must have as Bristol as a city is extremely multicultural, so how do you think they would feel if they came here and saw that kind of posting? This is the kind of thing we have to think about when modding, our own opinions do not come in to it. did you pm the other bloke for stirring it all up

If I did or I didn't does it make a difference to the comment made by GG?

It is a shame that an ill judged comment which I'm sure wasn't meant maliciously has led to poster feeling he has to leave the forum. However that is his choice and we should respect it. There is a function to delete your own post if you think it might cause problems. If all else fails and you have unwittingly offended someone you can always be the bigger person and apologise.

I have to say the standard of your average poster on here has dropped. To the extent where I keep on rising! It's come to a point that you aren't even an irritant anymore ! You need to sort it out! Your standards are slipping.

Good post, could I just add, the so called offended person also has the chance to just ignore it and also be the bigger person. This way we all get at least two inch's bigger around the middle. Please, no fat jokes, I am very sensitive today.

If I did or I didn't does it make a difference to the comment made by GG? No it doesn't make a difference. However, it would be good to know that the abusive respondent was treated with parity, particularly as he seems to bring little to the party, except provocation.

No one knows why GG deleted his account. Only he can tell us and as he's deleted it's reasonable to assume he won't be engaging on this forum again. Having participated in this thread and following research I floated the idea he may have decided to delete his account following a completely unwarranted and over the top volley of abuse because he cracked a weak joke about Middle Eastern men and terrorism. If someone had so roundly abused another poster for any other reason, the mods would have issued warnings re future conduct. The aggressor, on reflection, may even have issued an apology. Not so when it comes to charges of racism. In thes circumstances anything goes. The PC medal polishers consider it their right and sacred duty to treat their victim as a heretic for whom burning at the stake is the least they deserve. No one challenges them, and if someone does, others rush in to justify the accusers. Its a sad reflection of the times we live in. I am firmly of the belief that anyone under the age of 40 has had the ability to think for themselves "educated" out of them. The Liberal Left have held sway in this country for too many years. It's now a right-on paradise for the trendy left wing collective It it used to be called Brain Washing. I will warn the kids in the morning before school of the dangers you have highlighted Oldgas. Borderline supercilious

Wheres the silver polish, I'm off to buff my medals. Another basically decent poster with the club in his heart has been chased out. That's another scalp to hang on the trophy wall. You must be very proud.

They can choose to stay or not. A number of posters seem to prefer deleting their accounts to tolerating a mod action. That's their choice, of course, but no one's being chased. As mods, we can't not mod for fear someone will throw their toys out the pram; that wouldn't work.

im sure they are Sikh,I remember a minute silence when they first took over for a terrorist attack and after the blackthorn end were singing we hate muslimsI can't imagine that would be sung if they were Did the Blackthorn end really sing that? Bloody awful if they did! Before this inevitably ends up on OTIB, the chant was "We hate Isis" and was not "we hate muslims".

Probably a good thing. I also completely agree that all mainstream media outlets are insidious brainwashing pushing their own agendas. Schools are also culprits though less so in the UK. In China for example their populous are highly educated and intelligent whilst being totally unable to think for themselves. (Yes, I know that's a generalisation but it's how thier education system is set up)
