Lots of opinions on how this season will finish... If you want mine, I believe we'll be needing at least a point at home to Barnsley on the last day.
Barnsley who looked nailed on for automatic might just need something similar.
I hope im wrong because my nerves couldn't stand a scenario like that...

Just back from the game...... Day light robbery on our part. James Clarke best player on the pitch by far Sercs was shocking as was ogogogogogogo Looked a lot better when Jak and Tom Nichols came on BUT............ What a fantastic Stadium complex, something we can only dream about. Lovely stadium & set up but I’m not envious of their off field situation one iota.

I don’t think we were as bad as everyone is making out. True they should have put one or two opportunities away. But so we should have two. It’s a game of fine lines.
We’re in the same situation, three from bottom with improved goal difference, that we were this time last week otherwise with a game less to go.
The next few games should determine our fate. But two wins and we should be more or less safe.
As for their stadium we need to get a stadium with facilities like that ASAP so we can mug people off for a tenner a match in the car park. If we were to have a new stadium I’d like something like that, but a little smaller (albeit with room for expansion) because I can’t be handling an atmosphere like theirs with it being borderline empty with entire stands shut off. Also it was a little bit like a graveyard with a memorial garden in one of the stands and the big mural of Jimmy Hill. Sign of a club stuck in the past?
Also nice facilities but they’re not looking after them very well. Anyone who questions the Al Qadis commitment should have a look at how that stadium is being treated to get an idea as to what joy looking after a stadium is like.

As you say my bloody nerves wont take another mansfield type final day, will probably be made all ticket fairly soon, and god knows why its a 5.30 ko with the potential for it kicking off with the ferret strokers.

It's equally possible that Barnsley will have nothing to play for and will rest players for the play offs. Will wait and see.

Think our home record under GC is a bit better than DC, think 2 of 3 losses were against top 2?also dont think Tykes will need owt against us in last game ,2ond will be out of reach and they will be safe in play offs, unless they have a real pref who they play in them, so being good fair minded Yorkshire folk sure they wont begrudge us a point or 3!!

Got to the ground at 12 today, ripped off for a tenner to park but getting out after was probably worth it. Anyway, won my tenner back on the roulette wheel plus some beer tokens. As for the game I thought our supporters were first class again, started really vocal in the Ricoh library and all we needed with that backing was a goal. Oh well!

Support was class today; unfortunately, on the pitch, we were generally awful, however, we stole a point which may keep us up at the end of the season. Thought particularly Bonham, after an early shaky moment, Locks, Craig & Clarke played well, the Beard ran his little legs and big heart out, the rest had a off day. Going to be a difficult end of the season, lets get behind them, Utg.

How Coventry didn't score at least three with the chances and good positions they created was down to awful misses. Our defence was pulled to pieces out wide on both flanks. That clean sheet was down to wastefulness on their part not our good defending. Still take a point and move on.

Defence has never been the problem, but our lack of width has all season, more worryingly on today’s performance, I’m more worried about most of our players not being able to pass 5 yards. Kelly looked like an U10 in men’s football, and sercombe looks absolutely finished??. How lines can’t even get 10 mins in today’s showing is an absolute mystery No coincidence that this is the first season lines has hardly played and also the first season we’ve struggled to create chances all season. I realise he’s getting on but he’s still capable of playing killer passes and if the plan was to not use him this season then another playmaker should have been brought in in the summer or January. You can’t drop your top assists player for the last four years all season without bringing in a replacement and expect to still create chances. Not playing lines and then not playing Nichols either makes the lack of creativity even more so. Absolutely agree. Upson just isn’t filling his shoes. The reason we are good defensively is because we pretty much park the bus on our own 18 yard line. It isn’t because we have great defenders. Because we are so deep, with a lack of width and creativity, as an attacking side, we are absolutely abysmal. This is because we have players that just aren’t up to playing a press further than past 2/3rds of our own half. I would like to see a change in philosophy next year with the personnel to match. This year has been the worst year of football in ages and it’s mainly down to poor recruitment which started 2 seasons ago.

We lack real quality both on and off the pitch.Been a fan since the fifties but the lack of quality ain't easy to take.Upson , Ollie Clarke Reilly and maybe others simply lacking sufficient quality.Love James Clarke.Never lets us down. Please Rovers ,jettison the mediocrity, show us some leadership and sort out the stadium. Upson ,Sinclair,Kelly,Reilly simply not up to it.How can Lines not play with so little quality? Big changes needed but without money think our future is uncertain.Mr Wael,we need leadership,no good hiding behind confidentiality clauses. What is our future??

Cannot for the life of me fathom why he refuses to play Lines. On his day he has that creative spark that we desperately missed today. True when he has played earlier in the season he has been generally crap, but if he isn’t getting the chances to play, how can he amend that? 3 defensive midfielders starting today alongside an indifferent Sercombe? Ridiculous.

I agree to a point but it’s served us well away from home under Cogs, today we scrapped a point so he got away with it but in our next game we’re at home to Bradford who have the worst away record in the division. If he doesn’t start some creative players and we don’t win we’re in big trouble. If you’ve got four midfielders then you need to have balance and having three ball winners and one attacking midfielder who scored goals last season but isn’t this season with no playmaker will more often than not end up with very little chances created. I’ve been saying all season lines needs to start the home games. Last time he started we played well and he played well, he gives us balance and control , Also last time we played Coventry he played well , set up a goal and we won.

Gasshole I think is the NZ guy. That's not what us Aussie Gas call him, but I think you could be right. Silent G i’ll Bet, it’s got a nice ring to it though.

Pretty sure last time we played well and won at home was Blackpool and Lines was not even on the bench. Sadly I have a feeling that lines time with us may be over at least while GC is in charge.

Anybody else wondering if Lines has got a clause in his contract that if he plays a certain number of games we have to offer him a new contract, as it seems odd to drag him to every away game but never even give him a 10 minutes run out? We may as well leave him in Bristol and give a youngster some 1st team squad experience.

Great point we didnt deserve today, but how some on here can knock Clarke I really dont know, did well against a superior team, with s everl premiership loanees James Clarke was the President's Club MotM! Admittedly that was chosen before the last couple of Bonham saves but they'd still have chosen him as our best outfield player. Only Bonham, Clarke, Locks, Craig played well today, the rest just put in a shift to help get the point we desperately needed. Although if we do stay up you have to wonder if we'll only be in another relegation battle next season unless we can get some quality into the club.

Aren't we still in a decent position in Coughlan's league table? If we had been managed by him all season, I don't think we'd even be in this position at all. Next year we need to have a clear out of the players that have been sitting on the bench and those sent out on loan and recruit 4-5 additions to push the current squad, not a complete overhaul. For me that would be Bonham or a new keeper, a right back, box to box midfielder, left winger and a new striker. Get this right and I think we will push on and not be in another relegation battle for next season, we're not as far from being a good outfit in this league as people think.
