Classic. A teenager down the road from me coaches kids wouldn't want him getting the job, but I'd still back him to get more than 0.6875 points per game if he did! It might be more helpful if you could ask that teenager if he can help you get your facts right as your original post my was absolute garbage. Haha fair play Pirate you strongly campaigned for the youth coach and he's been an utter flop, respect for standing by him though.

Pirate's an odd one as he was equally as critical of BG as most forums users before lockdown, now he's back to being his biggest supporter. Not sure what's BG's done over the summer to convince Pirate he's once again the new messiah? I wonder how long it'll take for Pirate to turn on him again if he doesn't start winning games?

You conveniently fail to mention we already have plenty of experience with the likes Anssi, Little, Ogogo, Upson, Rodman, JCH etc and have been heavily linked with another League One side's 28-year-old captain and a 27-year-old with League One experience. True, but they were here before Garner arrived. Since then we’ve brought in numerous youngsters so there is a clear sea change in transfer policy. I had a total appreciation for why because obviously the debts were a mill stone round our neck. Now the debts have been wiped I am hoping we don’t have to be so focused on young players and invest in some experienced coaching staff. I suspect despite the expunging of the debts nothing has changed in the business plan going forward- lots of young players for our academy tier coaching team to work with. I really really hope I’m proved wrong, but it’s an under-whelming prospect especially considering that we are likely to see a reasonably big club fall from the championship to joint Portsmouth, Ipswich and Sunderland. What’s that got to do with it? So when he arrived he recognised we had plenty of experience so decided to get some younger players. Sounds the right thing to do to balance the squad age-wise. And as you say perhaps there was a sea change in transfer policy in signing younger players. And surely if the debts have been cleared we don’t want to go and do the same thing we did before to get us back into debt. That doesn’t make any sense at all. They’ve expunged the debt so they’re not going to do what they’ve always done to get the debt back again. Sorry 365 that just doesn’t make any sense. I get your frustration but doing what we’ve always done will get us what we’ve always got. UTG!

I thought he made some big mistakes which led to my frustration getting the better of me at times and I will always call it as I see it, but having had time to reflect it was difficult circumstances and I think he deserves the chance to build his own team, with his own support staff and a full pre-season behind him. The appointment of Mesure and signing of Grant are promising and if we can secure someone like Ehmer that will be another step in the right direction, and with a few more signings of a similar calibre we can start to pick up the desired results. If not, you will have more to moan and snipe at which should keep you content.

Pirate doesn’t need me to support him but that’s rubbish. We’ve all been critical of a manager who had a bad run. Like most on here (I don’t know but I can imagine) I expect he’s giving BG a chance and a blank page for the new season. If the owner, who’s put in millions can do that I’m sure we can. If BG has a bad start he probably won’t survive but he’ll have my support until then. Some, not all, seem to be wishing us to fail so they can say “I told you so”. Ridiculous. Let’s get behind him and support him. UTG!

Life isn't black and white topper, you can be critical of Garner's tactics but praise his transfer policy if you so wish. You of all people should know that with the amount of opinions you spout on here.

Why else would Wael allow the new appointment of an assistant if it gave him a double problem in six months time. Unless things go well this could test the patience of even the die hard fans next season.

I don’t think that Wael will be concerned about having jack at the club if things go wrong with BG, CHELSEA COACH lol! And posts like this just make no sense to me, why be so negative.

Win, win for Wael, he'll hope JM convinces some of his former Chelsea Academy players to join us and if it results don't improve then he's already got a replacement lined up for BG. Some good forward planning for a pleasant change.

Negativity can spread within a football club and it shouldn't start by the fans feeding this into the management/players before they have been given a chance. Yes BG has had awful results since his appointment but he still deserves a transfer window and a chance to bring in his own backroom staff so let's just get behind the whole setup and judge things around Christmas.
