Crap full stop from my perspective so far. I must admit I haven't been very impressed with what I have seen on my TV, perhaps with a good holding midfielder he might shine?

Crap full stop from my perspective so far. Agreed. Horrific signing. Arguably one of the most overrated Rovers players of all time - and given how sh*t many think he is that tells you something! Awful player

Still have high hopes for Alfie Kilgour but even he has underwhelmed this season. Sometimes good players can look terrible in a bad squad.

He's been woeful in the main this season. His best performance of the season for me was against Shrewsbury, where he really got stuck in and his link up play with Rodman was impressive. Sadly, I don't recall any other performances that were up to the standard required. He often tries things, but they hardly ever come off, and it just ends in potential attacks breaking down and/or surrendering possession to the opposition. That and his defensive skills were sorely lacking. I still think he could be a decent player with some good coaching and him improving his strength and all round game. This is where McCormick absolutely put Westbrooke to shame.

I think he needs to do a few 'come dine with me nights' with Josh Barrett to bulk up a bit

Try to find a corner flag to replace him. More use to the club. The only plus point is the kit he used is almost brand new

Don't knock his ability.
He's got the ability to make even Dominic Blizzard look good.
That's some special skill right there.

Praying we can find a team gullible enough to take him off our hands.

Westbrooke and Ehmer were the two biggest disappointments. Both came with good reputations in this league so we did well to get them. But they just haven’t performed for one reason or another. Ehmer has seemed to be carrying an injury but Westbrooke seemed not to be able to find the right partnership in midfield. They should be very good in League 2 but it doesn’t always work like that. For Westbrooke to get the time and space to be able to do his job he will need a strong midfield around him. And tbh I’m not sure that JB sees Westbrooke as a player to build around. I guess we’ll know when JB starts to sign others and we’ll start to see his ideas. UTG!

If Westbrooke struggled in L1 he is going to get a huge culture shock in L2. I don't think I've ever seen a midfielder pussy out of so many tackles in my life - you know how women are with their new nails? Well that's how Westbrooke seems to be with his feet.

But he makes up for that with pinpoint corners & freekicks.

I think there is a good player in him.
You have to bear in mind that he has been managed by Garner and Tisdale.

There is no manager, of any team, at any level that would tolerate a player that bottles tackles and headers like this lad does. He was a passenger most games, like playing with ten men. Didn't think much of him before he came to us either, just like Ehmer, gutted when we signed him. He was rubbish every time he played against us with Gillingham. We replaced Craig Clarke JCH.. The spine of the team, which was solid, like a tree trunk.. With ehmer zain and hanlan, weak as a twig. Its no wonder we are where we are. Hopefully ehmer and westbrooke are shown the door and joeys first 3 signings are a center back, center midfield, and a center forward... Get that strong spine back in the team.

A luxury player . In my opinion he is a player who i would have on the bench. If you have won the physical battle on the pitch and are holding a 2 goal lead he can make a difference. At that point his abilities can turn a 2 nil lead to a 4 goal lead . The opposition though have to already be mentally beaten though.
His best moments were when himself nicholson and rodman linked up . That didnt get to happen very often unfortunately.
As the highest earner at the club ,is that justified for his overall output. Currently...no.

One positive is that both Westbrooke and Ehmer would be two of the easier players to move on if that's what JB wants to do. Clubs will look at their form prior to Rovers and contract offers would certainly come their way.
