Westbrooke and Ehmer were the two biggest disappointments. Both came with good reputations in this league so we did well to get them. But they just haven’t performed for one reason or another. Ehmer has seemed to be carrying an injury but Westbrooke seemed not to be able to find the right partnership in midfield. They should be very good in League 2 but it doesn’t always work like that. For Westbrooke to get the time and space to be able to do his job he will need a strong midfield around him. And tbh I’m not sure that JB sees Westbrooke as a player to build around. I guess we’ll know when JB starts to sign others and we’ll start to see his ideas. UTG! One positive is that both Westbrooke and Ehmer would be two of the easier players to move on if that's what JB wants to do. Clubs will look at their form prior to Rovers and contract offers would certainly come their way. Yes, that’s a very good point. We’ve been a bit of a basket case this season and I suppose being in contract they could generate a fee. UTG!

Wayne Rooney commenting today on their "Cup Final" match today saying that if they are not up for the match they had better leave the building. Sounds like someone much closer to home. I wonder if Barton will ditch Westbrooke although if he is on a 3 year contract it could be costly. Westbrooke had an air of detachment on the pitch and Sky Blues Fans did warn that he did not engage in tackles and heading.

Hoping he gets a deal in L1 ... maybe somewhere like Wimbledon / Wigan / Shrewsbury ?
Can't see many clubs wanting him as he can't tackle , head a ball or pass.... actually quite similar to Ehmer and a few other frauds at the club.

Epitomises everything wrong with this squad in my opinion, not an ounce of fight in him and has a rather overinflated opinion of oneself.
I expect in his head there will be managers queueing up for him in the summer, I'm sceptical there are many more Garners out there myself though...

I'm going to put this out here and noone will believe me for a minute - but I would GENUINELY have rather had Rob Quinn than Westbrooke.

Westbrook to me is possibly the biggest dissapointment of the season playerwise.

We need to offload him onto a rival next season.that will give us one less team to worry about

More likely we'll have to pay them £K's to get them off the wage bill, the only hope is that they'll secure L1 contracts somewhere rather than take a pay cut in L2.

Read it again Topper. “.... could generate a fee.” I didn’t say loads or thousands, I didn’t even say it would. I said it “could” which by definition means it’s not definite, it’s not certain, it’s not probable but it may be possible. And it was in response to another post which had said that both Westbrooke and Ehmer had good records in League 1 prior to coming to us. I was agreeing, thinking it was a good point, imo. You have a different pov, fair enough. But best to read first before disagreeing. UTG!

I still feel you're living in dreamland if you think any club is going to pay us transfer fee, particularly when Barton's made it clear he wants to move players on.

Has he told us which players he is “moving on” then? If he had then why would you be asking the question? It'll be interesting to see if Barton transfer lists any players when the club announces the retained list.

Westbrooke had double the amount of assists of the next man and more than the next two added together.
6 assists, 3 goals and played 49 games this season...granted he doesn’t smash into tackles but at 24 years old and a few years more playing men’s football he could be 10 assists and maybe 6 / 7 goals.
