Has gone to Barnsley. Maybe JB'S comments about our defence resulted in a few phone calls during the week.
Pairing with Connolly wasn't working so not too concerned but might leave us vulnerable today until someone is brought in.

I guess there may be an element of being nearer home. I don’t his personal situation but Barnsley is a lot nearer Burnley and that may have had a hand in his decision. Timing is disappointing though.

Tough game now today and for Barton to keep saying he will likely wait til the end of the window is disappointing .
Why spout we need 5/6 bulls hit when it ain’t going to happen.
Like JB but by God he drives the BRFC Rollercoaster fast.

Disappointing from him. He looked good early on and has lots of potential but if he can’t buy in fully to us then it’s no loss. It frees up space for us to bring in someone else at the back, potentially with a bit more experience and presence.

What's odd is he's seemingly not good enough for us but good enough for a team higher in the table.
JB was really negligent when he thought Hoole, Thomas, Connolly and Gibson had sufficient experience for L1 , Craig taught us a lot about the dark arts used by a L1 CH.

Did a good job for us, Sad to see him go. Weakest part of our team has just got a bit weaker, should have held onto Kilgour for a bit longer.

Not really Barton’s fault is it if Thomas asked to go. Plus our defence has been rubbish overall this season and he has been at the heart of it. Connolly isn’t going anywhere, so Thomas probably would’ve been dropped after we signed someone anyway. He has been poor on the ball the last month or two as well so doubt Barton is massively bothered.
As for keeping kilgour - why?! He wasn’t playing in cup games where we had injuries - wouldn’t have played today even if he was here.
We are 8th in the league which we should all be happy with and got to trust Barton to get the right people in - will all sort itself out in Jan and no need for a melt down.

Think the decision was more of Burnley making.not liking a public slagging off of one of their young developing players allied to the fact the clubs are closely linked by the coaches. But if it was Thomas who asked to go you have to question why 2 highly rated youngsters have terminated their loans at rovers prematurely |

He left for his own personal reasons and nothing to do with what JB said, which let's face it wasn't bad and was probably warranted bearing in mind how many goals we've been shipping lately. We shouldn't need to score 3 or 4 goals in any game to get a result. Letting us down on a match day is really unprofessional in my opinion, when you consider we've given him a lot of first team football for a loanee. |

Jasper had a proper strop on in the cup game he played before he left - including moaning at the bench about not getting the ball. Not surprised he went- pre Madonna who wasn’t good enough. Not surprised Barton binned him after that. Play for the club and bust your balls doing it or jog on

I thought Thomas was decent, not our player so we have no rights. Bear no malice against the lad, he has to make his own career moves.
