Question -- This guy left us over a year a go. Why are we still on about him ? Time to let go. The Magnificent Seven Promotion will be remembered and cherished forever, the most incredible last day promotion victory possibly ever. In years to come, the team and other scorers will be largely forgotten, but the manager and the scorer of the seventh unbelievable goal that day that sparked some of the greatest celebrations in our history will be constantly replayed and remembered forever. Eliot Anderson has a unique place in our history and Gasheads will always follow his career with interest and fondness. šš¾ I sort of agree with you, although this whole "idolising" him in my opinion has gone on long enough. He will be remembered for his part in that run in and final game, but he was never our player nor would be so I think we should admire him for what he's achieving but not swoon over every appearance

Ollie Hulbert scored two for Barry Town, Josh Ginnelly won a pen for Swansea, Ollie Clarke scored for Mansfield yesterday. Coughlan and Maher are working minor footballing miracles keeping Newport and Southend alive. I take an interest in how old ex players and staff are doing. It just so happens that Anderson is the once or twice in a generation type player, like Lambert, Martyn or Biggs that you can see that they are miles better than anyone else and as he is playing in the top league and with international interest he is bound to be talked about more than a lot of others. Just be thankful Amobi sent him our way!

Eliot in another 7-0 scoreline and played from the start! Still 9 minutes left though - could he be there for an 8 or 9-0 scoreline?

Just be thankful Amobi sent him our way! Not sure he's once a generation player for a Premiership club and he was never one of our own players to compare him with Lambert or Biggs. Probably Dennis Bailey is a better comparison. As you say it was just luck we got him on loan and we didn't get a winger like the one from Palace, who quit half through his loan spell.
