Rule 44.9 seems to imply that the magic number is 22 and that excludes goalkeepers and under 21s. Hoole and Jones would fall in the definition of under 21s. I do not think that they will register Clarke so still scope to bring more players in. |

Can't remember where saw the date. As the players tou mentioned are both 21 at the moment then they are not under 21. |

The possibility of playing quite a few formations and stiff competition for places all over. Lots of players who can play multiple positions too! I agree I think we'll have a new No.1....I think Belly will stay and be No.2 and Ward will go out on loan! Can't see Wilson and Friend as a partnership in a back 4....think they could work in a 3 with a younger more athletic CB....not sure if Friend has been brought in as a CB or LB or to be cover for both! Could Grant be one of our 'new' CB....he played there on Friday but only due to necessity though....is he regarded as a LB or DCM? Think we are well covered in the center of the park whether it's DCM, CM or ACM....we have Rossiter, Ward, Finley, Grant, Evans, Brown....with maybe only 3 spots depending on formation....maybe 1 more but can see it being a loan....maybe Bogarde again or we could give Lawerence some game time if he does well in preseason! Think we need a wide player to cover Sinclair and Thomas as this is the main place we're short besides CB....Then again add Collins in and we've got good options....maybe another young loan without too much expectation or give Jones a chance as he's more than a LB! Do think we need another striker but not sure May is going to be value for money....again a young loan with no pressure to lead the line but back up....don't think Greenslade is ready yet! |

IMO we still need:
1 x CB - ideally a younger, more athletic type
1 x CDM - the only natural CDM in our current squad is Rossiter, and we all know about his injury issues. Grant can also play there but also has injury issues
1 x winger - Joey wanted two going into the window, has only added Thomas there currently
1 x ST - currently a ST down having lost Coburn (Brown more of a CAM/#10)

Unless they have changed the definition in the last few weeks the rule definition has always been under 21 on the 1st January of the year in which the season starts which for this year would be 1st January 2023. I cannot find anything to say that it has changed. |

Not sure why fans keep saying move Loft until we've seen in at least a few pre-season fixtures.

Wasn't a big part of the reason that Belshaw came to us in the first place that he wasn't happy to sit on the bench after being the starter for the previous few seasons at Harrogate?
