Still looking for the date which is used to calculate age. Thought it was 01/01/2024.
So think squad is at 19 out of 20 with Clarke and Jones not included.
Room for one more o21 unless others leave.

I think Jones will stay, Friend, Gordon, Grant and Jones is enough at LB. Even at a push Scotty Sincs will do the wing back role there.
i'd be looking for Lawrence to be loaned out

Not many goals from set pieces in the friendlies which is a little concerning. So definitely a cb who can get a few goals from corners and free kicks.

The definition per the EFL rules is: Under 21 Player’ means a Player under the age of 21 as at the 1 January in the year in which the Season concerned commences (e.g. for Season 2022/23, born on or after 1 January 2001). So goes on date of birth but effectively for this season means any player under 21 on 1 January 2023. |

League One and League Two clubs will be limited their squad size to 22 players for the 2020/21 season. This will be reduced to 21 and 20 in subsequent seasons (2021/22 and 2022/23 season respectively). Players aged under the age of 21 are exempt from these restrictions.
Is stated somewhere.
I recall trying to look at EFL site a while back and there appeared to be cashed pages there from previous seasons.
So still confused.

If you look at the EFL website the version there is for last season. However they have announced elsewhere the changes for this season and none affect the squad size or definition of under 21s. You can see from the squad size section that the rule that you quoted did not get enacted last year and the numbers are very clear. The under 21 definition is in the general section of the rule book. |

Bristol Rovers coach Andy Mangan has confirmed that Portugal absentees Luke McCormick and James Gibbons plus Josh Grant are closing in on returns to the Gas fold whilst Jordan Rossiter remains "a massive loss."
The latter hasn't played for Rovers since December with a serious knee injury and it doesn't sound as though the defensive midfielder is close to returning any time soon.
