You know the circumstances or just looking at results? How was Scott Brown's relationship with the fans, directors, players? We're his post match interviews positive? What was his 23 game plan? What were his incentives, did he live near the training ground? Assuming all mainly OK given that the club's owners backed them both in the summer? Who knows? The point was that fans can only work with what they know/think they know, and match results. I'm sure some of the new money in football makes these decisions come earlier than they would have 10 years+ ago. Perhaps the managers ideas didn't align with the owners? There's usually a longer term plan albeit fans of many clubs will make their minds up(and change them at will) after about 4 games.

Still think it's a tad early to panic, league not really taken shape yet, Cambridge top after 3 games now slipped a bit, Vale lose opener 7-0 have not looked back since, Conversely Barnsley no great shakes since, Bolton on fire first few games but not maintained that level and so on, after giving it more thought i am convinced JB will get it right in time for a good season, after all we have had 4 decent results and a couple of bad ones . You've been a JB fanboy from day 1 I doubt you've ever thought he won't turn it around? Something needs to change soon, just watching Cambridge last night shows you don't have to be the best to win games just show some urgency. Although they do have a decent No 9. If we are going to now continue til January without one JB's got to decide who is going to be our No 9 and his back up out of JM, AC & JB. NO idea what a Fanboy is, i doubt i meet the 'boy' criteria as i recall watching the likes of Bradford and co, yes i do support the manager as he strives to get things right but also realise that like any other manager he will have to deliver results to survive long term, i am sure we all hope he succeeds.

Anyone watching Cambridge v Reading? 0-0 h/t Looks like a rerun of our game there,Cambridge really know how to make the opposition look bad. Cambridge were great. Confident and positive. Aggressive, attacking, strong in every challenge. Those qualities that you don't need star players for.. The qualities we are lacking with good players. Those Cambridge players ran through walls and left it all out there. Fair play to them. They were not attacking though were they, they sat deep and counterattacked just like they did against us.Reading were the same as us,forced into long balls forward to their small front line.Good gameplan by Cambridge but they were great? Not for me.

Not for me. I thought they played great yes. 17 shots and 9 corners are strong stats imo. The way they set up is to soak pressure, but once they win the ball, they go forwards with it and quickly. It's clear what the plan is, JB would have known it, Reading would have known it too. Therefore it is effective and is winning games.

Let's get behind Joey.
He's putting together a talented team. So much experience and quality as individuals.
It's all just got to come together as a team.
You can't invest this much money and say 'You only have 10 games'
Give him until Christmas.
The goals will come.

Not advocating any change at Rovers as i hope and believe JB and Rovers will come good this season BUT just searching for a thread ( without starting a new one) in which i could mention and extoll the virtues of Mr Warnock who has left Huddersfield Town following another master class of management there, would be great to have him here if things went pear shaped for JB wouldn't it? he could perhaps even 'mentor' JB , that would be an interesting cocktail!!

We Finished last season on -15 goal difference. We’re now sitting mid table on zero. Defensively I see clear progress. We’re only averaging a goal a game , so we need to be a lot braver up front. 1.5 for the PO’s

No one wants to see poor Hoole line up as a CB vs a Wigan team that scored 7 the other day.

We have the players so why not attack teams. Play football in their half not ours. UTG.

We have the players so why not attack teams. Play football in their half not ours. UTG. That's the way I would prefer us to play, it takes the pressure off the defenders and as long as they don't push up too far they should be prepared for anything that comes their way. Getting sufficient cover in all positions has been made more difficult with squad size restrictions which is why we have more versatile players, especially at the back, so we need to minimise the pressure on them instead of inviting it by attempting to play keep ball in the defensive third.
