Bloke is a disgrace, tactically outsmarted tonight by Evans, we were lucky to draw. I hope Evans hears this and says I like a burger and pie but I don’t hit my wife! same with some fans on here, I think the odd one or two are a disgrace aswell

Missed the game today as on holiday and was going to watch on I follow but my daughter has had a bad stomach bug and we’ve spent the last 24 hours in hospital. Sounds awful reading this other than our goal but a point v a team that plays a very effective league 1 style game isn’t bad I suppose and as long as we win on Saturday we’ll be up around mid table with 4 wins, a draw and 3 defeats from last 7 which wouldn’t be too bad considering the awful slow paced rubbish Barton has us playing the majority of the time. Imagine what we could do if we played a higher tempo game every week like we have done in spells this season. Big game Saturday , no doubt about it the pressure is on Barton and more and more will begin to turn on him if we don’t win what is seen as pretty much a must win game to keep us away from the bottom 4 for now. Back to clearing out buckets of sick and trying to get my daughter fit for a flight home tomorrow ( we’ll be lucky) puts things in to perspective, it’s only football. UTG Hope yer daughter recovers soon pal and the family holiday still has a chance for some smiles. Best wishes to yous all 👍🏼

I never saw that game as I was working, I have been to Burton and Oxford and here today, he’s useless, brings nothing in those games. So please remove the fickle comment. I’d put him up there with Chris Beardsley for effectiveness. That aged well then . . . I watched him before that goal failing to challenge for the ball, not closing down the defenders, looking disinterested on three occasions. I will stand by my comment, he should have been withdrawn at halftime. He was like a statue for 89 minutes.

How many people think Cox was fouled for the Stevenage goal? I didn’t think he was from the stand personally, and after watching the highlights I still don’t think he was. Off the top of my head that’s the second time it’s happened to Cox now.. he makes a good save from time to time but I can’t help but see a little boy when I look at him didn't think he was fouled at the time and still don't watching it back. Comes for a ball and clatters Taylor and possibly also the Stevenage player, but no foul for me. Keepers get to much protection as it is. you can't just come out to get a ball and get a foul everytime you are bumped. Part of the art of goalkeeping isn't it to be able to deal with it

He may be confident (not always competent!) with his feet but he looks like a small child in a penalty box of men whenever a cross comes into our box. He couldn’t catch a cold last night. Zero commanding presence and flapped at everything. Belshaw’s not the answer, but I’m really not convinced Cox is either.

Vale should start out wide from now on Pity he hasn't got a twin who could play on the other wing.

I am not a Joey Hater like many on here
It was very clear to me last night that this group of players are not playing for Barton. Just after Stevenage scored and we lined up for the kick off, NO players where encouraging each other by either clapping or back slapping or even shouting at each other to "get going"
He has to go and go now

Another crap performance by Rovers, snatched a point with a 'wonder goal' but not much else to cheer about. See the 'Barton is King' mob still want to 'give it time'. At this rate it'll be the last game of the season, we'll be 15 points from safety, and still some will be saying' Give him time, he'll get the team playing soon......'

The ref last night was like a fan trying to do the job, seemingly just booking players at random for both sides.

Cox wasn't fouled for the goal, Taylor ran into him. However, Cox was absolutely awful aerially last night, couldn't punch or catch a ball to save his life.
Ref again, dreadful. He is a Championship referee so at least we know they have it as bad as us up there.
We looked like there was no plan, no desire. Even so, we created chances and not having a clinical striker has proven costly yet again.
Anyone notice that Joey didn't stand up in the second half? Whelan was doing all the talking. Until the ref didn't give us the handball for the pen, then he went mad.. obviously.
Joey on RB saying 'the Weeble wobbled over to the ref' after the game..... although hilarious, pretty childish.
Where do we go from here eh.

That really was awful from Rovers, but to be fair Stevenage were no better and had it not been for our own defender clattering our Goalkeeper we could have won which just shows the state of this division. We were poor, but Stevenage are experts at spoiling and making good sides look poor. Draw was not a great result for us , but a fair result on the night. I cant see how Evans was MOM on Player, Cox saved us tonight and was easily my MOM. In what possible way can Stevenage be called spoilers tonight? They played more football than we did, hoofed it less than we did, attacked more than we did even when already winning, and didn’t waste time with any gamesmanship nonsense (remember Steve Cottrell’s Shrewsbury last season?) As you say Cox was your MoM so they must have played with attacking intent. We were awful, Stevenage were not awful and nor were they spoilers. We got lucky. I’ll take that. I’m more concerned that the manager thinks we played well second half and deserved more! They had less possession, less shots and gave away more fouls. They did waste time on every set play once they were 1 up. People see things differently.

In both cases that has not been anymore than a marginal improvement. Some of Cox’s kicking last night was truly terrible, ball must have gone straight out throw in at least 4 times. He flaps under a high ball, a couple of decent saves are not enough at this level.
