As long as the roots are not severed, all will be well, and all will be well in the garden. Ahhh, Grasshopper

After one game you draw that conclusion? That's laughable Really , pop back here on Sunday after DC has taken 3 points back to Cheltenham Chelts are at 5.5 to win with Sky. Show me your betslip and I'll consider matching it and buying you a pint. Dead cert yeah?

Watched the game back with a calmer head. Over run in midfield, we need to strengthen. Missing a number 9 type, again been a problem for a while. Grant, unfit and never a full back. Collins is just way off his game possibly time to be given a spell out, missed some really easy chances again. Crama usual mistakes, not what we need. Positives, Thomas and Gibbons worked really well together both had good games. Taylor and Wilson, again worked well both were decent. For Saturday hopefully Friend, Hunt and Ward are fit.

Otherwise 11/2? Which I think means if Rovers and Cheltenham play 11 games, Cheltenham would win 2 with 9 being Rovers wins or draws. Or a 15% chance of winning.

Said it before say it again stinks of Tisdale MK 2 All this talk of a big overhaul in January . There are only scraps to be had in the Jan window so lower your expectations and expect a slide down the table. Am I the only one not inspired by Taylor at all ? After one game you draw that conclusion? That's laughable It is - I thought new managers had 3 months grace before owning their results. Or was that just the last one?

I didn't watch last night but I think it's a fair assumption to make that Hunt and Ward are two of our most important players - we're much better with them in the side. Taylor-Wilson partnership is fine for me and I like Martin up top. There's plenty of tweaks that can be made to the team for the weekend.

I thought the 5.5 was just the decimal version of the odds, so 11/2 (or 5 and a half to 1)?
Great price if anyone wanted to soften the blow.

And his Brentford cronie Cox. Even Crawleys 2nd choice keeper looked miles better than Cox last night, good composure and distribution and looks comfortable with the ball at his feet.

The comment about Spine is key. We have no cover for a spine of Taylor/Wilson, Ward/Finley and Martin. Team for Saturday, hoping no new injuries last night would be
-------Ward Hunt Taylor Wilson Gordon ----Finley Ward -------Evans Thomas Martin Vale

This one has been built up because he is a England u21 keeper. They shoot they score is all I have noticed about him

I hope that abject second half isn’t linked to players sulking about their obvious want to keep Mangan Not sure about that, they played well enough in the first, if they were sulking, they'd sulk from the start, they may of course have been sulking about any changes MT made or what he said at half time Exactly this Gael. That must have been the most shots and chances created in the first half of any game this season. Hardly a sign of a team not interested or sulking about JB or AM. I thought the midfield looked really strong in the first 30/45 minutes - Finley, Evans and even Brown impressed me. Why the second half turned out as it did is bizarre. Looked a completely different team. Unrecognisable from the first. Do we have a fitness issue? Late goals let in v Derby and Orient before the second half capitulation to a young inexperienced Crawley side. As has been said, lots for MT to sort out.

It is a mid table squad, yes, without any goalscorers. John Ward's squad finished midtable 2 out of his 3 full seasons in charge, even though he had Marcus Stewart and Gareth Taylor. Holloway's squad finished mid table too even with two 25 goal a season strikers in it! It then plummeted to the bottom of the league below rapidly when they were both sold. Paul Trollopes squad was also midtable in League 1, even though it had Ricky Lambert. Which is my point, stick any of those strikers in this current team and imo we'd be going up. That's why I think the majority of this current squad, in terms of pedigree and ability is the best we've had for long time. It's just missing clinical goalscorers and a manager who can get the best out of them. yep, we've had many great strikers and yet still failed to be promoted. The current central midfield is nowhere near good enough. I think it is. It just needs the right manager, to get them playing together with the right game plan. Grant Ward and Ryan Woods have played over 300 games between them at Championship level. Anthony Evans has creativity, and when he's at his best he's a quality player. Rossiter when fit(If he ever does get fit again) is as good as it gets at this level. He's only at this level because of injury record. When Lamare Bogarde signed again for the season most people were saying what a signing it was. Now all of a sudden the Central Midfield isn't good enough? The quality is definitely there.

It's a striker, left back and a keeper we need.which two of those areas we identified and failed to land. Jch up top and Connor Ripley in goal.

Morning after the night Before! Mixed Views.
The Negatives. Result was as poor as it can be - a loss against to a Div 2 sides reserves. Should have been 5-0 up at half time & fell apart second half.
The Positives (and they are very few) The new manager does'nt need to look at any tapes of previous matches. The whole 90mins last night was a full synopsis of the season so far! If we had won it would have papered over the cracks.
MT you now know the full extent of the task in hand! All the very best of luck. You are going to need some!
