Where did this lack of fitness stuff come from? I thought that was one of Joey's top priorities after his comments about training and lifestyle when he took over. I don't see them as unfit. Demoralised and demotivated maybe, which has a similar effect on performance. I agree. I don't think there are many fans that give a toss about this competition but most fans turned up or tuned in to see Taylors first game. That so many players look just disinterested, lazy or useless was a massive worry. Based on last night Taylor appears to have a large number of players who's attitude stinks and a number that don't appear to be good enough. It's not as if they were pulling up trees for Barton or Mangan either so I'm not sure I buy into the Penny theory.

Given that the same players effectively got JB & AM sacked it's unlikely they are now not trying in order to get their replacement sacked, either their confidence is shot or their simply not good enough.

I wonder what happened at halftime in the Crawley game. The players didn’t look lazy or disinterested in the first half so something must have happened to make them lazy or disinterested in the second half 🤔!!

The introduction of Crama and Grant had a big impact, as did Thomas going off 10 minutes into the 2nd half. Regardless of those changes, the second half display was shameful and we should've had enough to beat a second string Crawley team. It was rather concerning viewing considering it was the new managers first game and they all should've been looking to impress.

Let's face it when we saw those two clowns coming on we feared the worst, I assume if you play with them it's x10 worse.
Crama has turned into Ciaran Harris and he's now playing National League football.

Good point and thinking back Tony Craig in commentary was continually highlighting how many times we were getting overrun in midfield and how easy it was for them to play through us.

Like him or loathe him this group of players absolutely loved Barton and I'm really worried they are not going to take to a new managers ideas which could put us bang in trouble. Luckily Taylor has 4 or 5 games before the window opens where if he sees evidence of this happening he will have the opportunity to bring 3 or 4 players in he trusts and can work with to help change the tide and dressing room. If you offered me mid table safety now I'd take it with the chance to rebuild in Taylors identity in the summer.

Unfortunately though, the league will probably be harder next season, so when we fail to get promoted he will end up getting the sack anyway . . . Barton or no Barton, this season was our best chance for years to get promotion to the championship and if we’d got JCH we’d be in & among the playoff spots now. Whoever f*cked that deal up royally f*cked our chances of promotion and will ultimately cost MT his job sometime during the next 3/6/12/18 months and will condemn us to x number of more years in Lg 1. And before anybody starts, I’m neither a Barton “fanboy” or a Barton “hater”; he was our manager, now he’s not. But, I am really, really f*cking bitter about the JCH fiasco; up until about midnight on transfer deadline day I actually believed that this was going to be our season, and that JCH was the missing piece of the puzzle. I am so angry that I let myself believe that we’d finally got our act together and had put together a squad that was actually capable of getting us to the championship. I’m angry that Wael sold a controlling interest in the club to a bunch of property developers. I’m angry that we have a squad of ostensibly grown-up men who appear to be throwing a strop cos their mate got the poke, and I’m angry that yet again we’re going to have to put up with this sh*t.

All has become clear.
After half time the word was out.
"Peterborough United AWAY if we win this lads. Just let them score twice."
What a relief.

Perhaps they were a bit watery Mangan didn’t get the job , if they liked him which I think the majority probably did then that’s human nature , yes they’re professionals and should still do their jobs but they’re also humans. It’s up to Taylor now as our manager to get them onside and believing in him and his ways and it’s up to the players to be open to his ideas and do their best for themselves the shirt and their new manager. I’m not reading too much in to Tuesday it was a combination of good and bad but tomorrow for me is where it really starts. In a way I think having the Crawley game first up probably benefited everyone, get the hangover of the last 5 weeks out of the way and then in to the real thing. Up The Gas.

Think it's more to do with the fact Crama and Grant are totally off form, and also losing Wilson's experience in defence, than players not playing for the new manager, if they weren't then wouldn't they all be effectively on strike for the whole game? MT's problem is that he has a decent starting 11 but the rest, mainly, don't seem to be up to L1 football. Although he does have Hunt, Ward and Martin to add to Tuesday's starting 11.

Probably a strange one . Tomorrow is where it really begins.

Maybe be less angry and look at the facts. The first half was some of the best football we have seen in weeks. We could have easily scored five. I struggle to get angry about stuff outside my control. It’s an emotion that I try and avoid as it sends me to a dark place full of negativity, fear and doubt about the future. I hope to come back in a few games time when some of us will be less angry about things. Look to the future and be hopeful. I feel much better now than what I saw in the second half on Tuesday night. I’ve reflected and on balance feel there is much hope in the air.

Not sure Crama and Grant would be that affected by AM not getting the job given how many different manager's Grant's had in his time at the club and Crama, at best, will only be here until the summer and wasn't even a starter under AM anyway. I think those two would have been just as bad under AM or even JB. It'll be interesting to see if MT makes us any stronger in the core of our team if Cheltenham take the game to us at any stage tomorrow, as that's been our weakness all season, and probably last once Rossiter picked up his injury.

I think you see football in a very black and white way with little emotion almost as if the players playing for our club are robots or something so i always find discussions difficult with you topper but at least we’ve got one thing in common , we want the Gas to pick up three points and we want our new manager to succeed and our club to prosper. Up The Gas.

It doesn't matter how good a squad is, if you've got little effort or desire from the players, then you are in free fall. We will struggle to get another point this year. 😄 from 5 games? 4 so far innit?
