The reason I stopped posting for a while was because I was tired where I was fighting battle where everything I said was made up. I said they had no one to train them the other week, I said Whelan walked out on the club, I said the management team were upset that the hotel was cancelled for the Crewe game, I also said the owners son was out of control……….now tonight Finley throws them under the bus properly and I’m glad as well. He said the manager basically isn’t being allowed to bring in his staff, it’s true! It’s a mess behind the scenes. Finley hasn't said that all you have spun to fit your boring agenda. Haven't heard from you since your pathetic Crewe statement and the fact we won 2 games on the trot but bang we lose one and here we go again back on spouting rubbish. Now let's think clearly here usually when a new man comes in they bring there own staff with them but due to the fact Wayne Carlisle was still employed by Rotherham and running the team and even trying to throw his hat into the ring to get the job he didn't come with Taylor. It's unusual that a manager gets sacked and walks into another job straight away so it will take time to recruit a backroom team. For the other coaches to walk out/leave get sacked whatevver happened was quite obvious as soon as Mangan didn't get the job. I don't know what you are trying to achieve by causing unrest in here and why all of a sudden after a loss you pipe back up. He said “its hard for him, he’s on his own, I feel sorry for him, needs to be sorted by the club, it’s difficult for the manager” So let’s gets this right, Sam has just taken on assumed all this? Taylor could say to him, what you on about Sam, why are you saying all this?! And of course he’s not, and I know this as well. Why has Finley become the spokesman on this, he’s a paid employee, he’s said the board need to sort it out. If it wasn’t a problem, Sam Finley wouldn’t have said this would he? I ask you Bridgewater, why did you think Sam felt the need to say this in an interview? Our manager needs supporting, Sam Finely defended him brilliantly and I’m glad he did as well I had said my bit, went to Bolton, all I had said before was spot on, I piped up because Finley said what I already knew, keep up pal.

We are where we are to be honest Barton or Taylor this squad isn't good enough for promotion there are too many holes when injuries hit and I've said that for a few months now.
This season is one of consolidation and progression in preparation for next season. Bring Connelly and Jones back with next season in mind. Bolster centre half and up front and get to 50 points asap.

Bolton was like Charlton, we have these wins in us, Wigan at home as well but then we go back to usual form of stop start wins/losses. Deserve to lose today, Finley said enough today, he knows the manager needs and wants his staff next too him. It took weeks to get the manager, let’s see how long it takes to get his assistants

You can see the players don't trust Cox now. Get rid, you need to be a footballer in the sticks nowadays….catch & parry ain’t enough. really hope matt isint reading this forum - can’t be doing his confidence any good if he is 🥲💙

Just listened to Finleys interview . Could have done with more interrogation from RB's Sheridan tbf , all he did was highlight a problem but as has been said there could be contractual issues.
He is just frustrated at the speed , but none of us know if it's incompetence. Good news for me and clearly Sam is Bond is still a presence.

Although the lack of any recruitment staff or coaching staff is clearly a concern.

We are a middle of the table league one team. Sustain and progress for a real go at it next season under Taylor.

There you go Roadman an opposition fan thinks we have a decent squad. Oh brilliant, that makes you right then! Ask him why we are 7, 7, 7 please, ask him why if it’s so good a manager was sacked, ask him why we are bottom half?! Stop posting guys, we have a Blackpool fan who knows it all, I guess he saw the Cheltenham home game as well 😂👍 Personally I think we have a mid table squad , Barton was slightly underachieving because he wanted us to play a style of football that doesn’t really work at this level unless you’ve got one of the best squads in league 1 and so far Taylor has got us punching around our weight because he’s more in tune with what we’ve got and what he can do with it. If he can get the players buying in to his ideology then I think a top half finish with this squad is possible. No doom or gloom from me about our current position in the league we’ve rarely finished in the top half of league one in the last 3 decades and with the noise and upheaval of having Barton then sacking him half way through a season I’d bite your arm off for mid table or a top half finish this season. Things are bound to be difficult behind the scenes as Barton had everything his way and held so many cards and then was sacked. This isn’t just my latest opinion regarding the quality of our squad I’ve been saying all season that Barton was holding us back with his style and a manager with more idea about what’s needed at this level could do better. I think that Taylor will do better than Barton’s PPG in league 1 with Rovers but whether we can push on and challenge the top 6 this or next season obviously depends on many things and not all of those things are in his hands or the players hands if the quality of the players simply aren’t good enough. But going back to this season I think consolidation and a mid table finish is a realistic aim considering the change of manager half way through the season.

TBF 2 tough away matches at Bolton & Blackpool in 7 days was a hard ask & many fans would probably have settled for a point each beforehand from the 2 games, but we have gained 3, so not too disappointing. Let’s remember Blackpool were a championship side last season & went to leaders Portsmouth 3 weeks ago & won 4-0 & will be among the challengers this season. Anyway onto Boxing Day & let’s end Pompey’s unbeaten away record.

Which is funny because apparently JCH is too old, and Rhodes is 4 years older. (and Norburn) Didn't get to watch the match, so gonna skim the comments to see how we did even though we lost. Couldn't help the JCH comment though. Marquis is older than JCH but still JCH is too old for us. 😂 Think the message is too old to spend nearly a million quid on. Rhodes is on loan Marquis was a free. Fair comment, can't deny that. But still, he's 29! Anyways, I won't keep bleating it, my 2 pence are we may of had another goal in us with him, maybe 2.... The question is, would we have rather started with JCH and brought Marquis on when we swapped CM for JM? Personally, I think the game could have been different (without watching it I know! 🙈)

A lot of irritation displayed in those two interviews and rightly so. We cannot go on giving away stupid ‘irresponsible’ goals - I believe MT is ruthless enough to deal with these issues and January will be a marker on how he intends to move this team forward - there will be a few casualties in the current squad I’m sure. As I mentioned on the Bolton thread - the priority is a new goalkeeper and also a left back, a centre back alongside CT and a someone to replace Collins - not too much to ask for - really!! I think Collins needs 3-4 games benched , might come back better. Although this obviously isn’t a good time to do it as if Taylor does it now then he’s looking at a transfer request going in to the window and we don’t get much money as Collins is out of form. So he’s kind of buggered if he does or if he doesn’t really which is why I get Taylor is still starting him. Barton should have dropped him for 3-4 games months ago to see if it kickstarted him but then Barton’s management was questionable at times.

Marquis is older than JCH but still JCH is too old for us. 😂 I don't think we were as bad as the comments on here will suggest. 1st half pretty even and a really good watch. Norburn with a worldie and a smart finish from Marquis saw honours even and probably a fair reflection of the first 45. 2nd half Cox made a poor attempt at a really easy chance to clear and we were punished 45 seconds in. We looked really shakey for a spell after that but it wasn't like Blackpool were all over us for long periods of the game. But for a very lucky offside decision, we could have have pulled it back to 2-2. After that it was Blackpool in control and they ran out deserved winners but it wasn't a hammering by any standards. Thank you Hugo! I really appreciate the write up 🙏 legend! Glad to hear it wasn't a hammering, and I think we know there's some teams in this division we'd struggle to take points away from. Bolton were one, yet we came home with all 3. Blackpool another one and I don't *think* there's much surprise in coming home empty handed. Pompey will be a litmus test in amongst this particular run!

Haven't read the thread, I think we did really well, Grant did the usually mistake and we chucked everything at it to get level, they got us on the break for the 3rd. Grant grant gotta go he is our weakest link. Hopefully Taylor has seen this fir himself.

Looking at the bench today the only replacement for Collins was Brown, is he really going to be an improvement? I've no idea how Brown had such an impressive start to last season, as he's hardly done anything this season.
