Both the Megson and Holloway promotion sides had great defences. Mike Green and Stuart Taylor were immense.
Both sides also had eight players who played over 40 games in their promotion seasons. There is a lot more chopping and changing these days. The game is faster and squads are bigger but perhaps managers at our level try to be too clever and try to make changes rather than keeping it simple. But what do I know?

I think the last league match where we didn't use a sub was on Sat Feb 15 2020 against Blackpool which we won 2-1. |

Rotherham have a new boss and Wayne Carlisle has left the club. A reunion with Taylor is now a possibility. Only if the new owners sanction the appointment? |

Looked to me at the time that Thomas had came back onside just before the ball was played to him but that the lino as per couldn’t keep up with the game and erred on the side of caution. If we’d have not had that goal disallowed it could have been a very different game. All part of football! Still fancy our chances this season but we need to replace the players we can’t rely upon! |

No replays on ifollow show the Thomas disallowed goal. It'll be shown in the full match replay? Although I'm not sure the player potentially playing LT onside was caught on the camera. I guess it summed up our luck yesterday, LT scores when he's offside but AC's shot is saved when he's onside. |

JB for example kept pretty much the same side in the second half of our promotion season and we were incredible but chopped and changed loads other than that and were mostly poor. |

Watched it earlier on the ifollow full match replay & the incident happens around the 66th minute, it looks on that footage, that we have been on the receiving end of another bad decision, plainly onside IMHO. |
