I listened to her commentary and thought she was very good . No screaming as some claim , obvious that she is a proper football fan with a good knowledge of the game. i have only listened to her once because i have managed to get to most of the matches but the problem listening to the Bolton away game on the radio was that she didnt describe where the action was taking place. For example she got excited when opponent pulled down Collins and when the guy was sent off but didnt describe the incident at all so we had no idea whether it was a free kick or a penalty. We had to wait a good 90 seconds for her to say that Evans was getting ready to take the free kick and even then had no idea how far out it was . It was as if it was a TV commentary where they rely on the visuals being available as opposed to the radio- where the commentator has to be far more descriptive. its a different skill That's a fair point and completely different from complaints about her 'screechy' voice. I just think there's a significant number of men who roll their eyes, sigh, shrug and say 'women commentators, what can you do?' It's a slightly veiled form of misogyny and a feeling of being threatened by women infiltrating the game. You know who you are.

Firstly how excited she sounds when the opposition scores. She sounds happy! Male or female I want them to sound at least slightly despondent when we concede. Secondly the tonality of her voice when she gets excited. I find it difficult to listen to. If a man had the same voice I would dislike their tonality equally. It’s pretty lazy to label that dislike of her commentary as a form of misogyny. During Covid when people had no choice to attend, lots of people remarked about how they didn’t enjoy Keith Brookman as he was too monotone and showed too much bias. Nobody said people were being sexist or ageist etc, it’s just people’s preferences being discussed.

I love how she said an absolute screamer without any trace of irony... Why's it ironic? She wasn't screaming. In fact I have literally never heard her scream during a commentary. Perhaps you mean she increased the pitch and volume of her voice when a great goal was scored, as male commentators also do. I thought it was funny...

I was merely being humorous. Sheridan is preferable to some of the other Radio Bristol commentators.

I watched back the Oxford goals on ifollow, whoever had the mic for that one (possibly Andy Howard) was too busy talking about C*ty for a good 10/20 seconds right up until Martin’s shot hit the back of the net.

I love our fanbase, i really do. 8 days ago we were plummeting towards relegation with a poor squad, poor manager and shambolic owners. Now we are making a burst for the play offs!! We are a very streaky team. Good run, poor run, win a few, lose a few. I dont see that changing. Having said that, we have favourable fixture list, with our tougher games all being at home. I dont think we will make the play offs, but i dont think we need a massive change of players at the end of the season to have a good go next year. I would be happy if we pretty much kept what we have, and exchange our loan signings for good quality permanent first team starters. Revision required or still the same? Of course we could win the next 2 a our play off charge will be back on!

Time to burst the bubble. As we know, on our day we can beat the best. For some strange reason, I just feel we are beginning a set of results that will soon fire the hope of all of us. Time for a clean sheet and a few goals. 2-0 to the gas. We need a run of 3 or 4 wins in a row to kick start any hope of a late play off push. We beat Oxford - great , if we can beat Exeter today then follow that up with a win at home on Tuesday then I’ll start to believe we can do it as that would most likely put us about 6-10 points off of 6th. Anything other than 6 points from those two games and those tiny play off hopes well and truly gone. A bump for GGMI .

Give it up Rich, please. I don't want you looking stupid. Why don't you have some and come back in the summer with this nonsense (hopefully it wont be nonsense then). This season is clearly a mid table finish. I don’t buy that at all, there’s 54 points left to play for we could still make a push for the play offs or end up in a relegation scrap. Yes obviously mid table is most likely but it’s not clearly a mid table finish at all. Hello socrates

Hello socratesSo “ yes obviously mid table is most likely “ was more of a prediction in that sentence than relegation or play offs. What position are we in currently ? To call that post a prediction that we’ll finish in the play offs is bizarre to say the least.

Matt Taylor , on Saturday was radio gold . An experienced hack would've gone for the jugular . He was there for the taking , revealing certain issues . At home , we wanted direct questions after that performance. Imagine Peter Godsiff , David Solomans , Robin Perry & to a lesser effect Colin Howlett (from a certain vintage) just batting back questions about the game . Emotions were high & it was a perfect opportunity to 'grill him'

No it's worse than that, you completely bottled making a prediction and argued with my "clearly a mid table finish". Egg firmly on ya face socrates 😛

My 10 year old daughter is more grown up than you are. Thankfully there isn’t anyone else on here as childish and irritating as you and this forum is generally a good place to discuss and debate all things Rovers. Take care and try not to drink any bleach.

I think the main issue is that she clearly isn’t a rovers fan or related to our club in anyway. For the past decade we’ve become accustomed to commentary from people who care about the club.

Let's not forget that Tom Gorringe (jail sentence when?) binned off the ultimate commentary vibesmen and Gasmania providers Screen Soccer. Maybe Auntie is following the boziac actions of the CEO?
