Surely making it safe standing would solve the issue? At least in parts of the Souf Stand if not all of it. Why do we need safe standing when over 50% of the capacity of the Mem is terracing? The South Stand was desperately needed to meet the demand for seating which clearly exists. It is being hijacked by those who think they can do what they and where they like. Times are a changing. We want to sit comfortably in our seats in the South Stand without idiots jumping up and down, trying to attack away fans, hurling abuse even at other Rovers fans or throwing flares on the pitch.

Why should I be forced to stand after buying a stand seat in the South stand. If o2o2bo2ba wants to stand, make your way to Thatchers and let those who can't stand for too long stay in their seats to enjoy the game. Making the South stand a safe standing area only destroys the purpose of the seats.

Think the club will have taken note of this thread and various posts on X (twitter) , expect that section to be heavily monitored/ stewarded next home game .

People sitting or standing where they like annoying both home and away.
Regards to picking a seat in the South stand surely better to not sit right next to away fans if you are hoping to watch the game comfortably.

Having given the matter a little more thought, this is really a subject that the Supporters Club directors should be taking up on behalf of all Rovers supporters. We have a group of idiots who are making life difficult for supporters who for a variety of reasons need to sit down. It's not rocket science and needs to be addressed for the good of everyone. On a rare away trip for me last week at Orient, I watched two groups of young lads (from Bristol barely 18) being turned away from the hotel I was staying at close to the ground by one bouncer. If one bloke in a black dress coat can deal with them, surely we can deal with it at our own ground? Kind regards John Malyckyj Don’t hold your breath John, on the Fans Director, he sent me a PM on here six weeks ago to tell me he’d express his opinion if I’d seen his message, I replied within hours, but weeks later still no reply, even though he’s been online since. Anyone know where they are located on Matchdays? That irritating man selling the Pirates pot had full barrels about them a few weeks ago, apparently he doesn’t work for the club, but would forward my concerns. Shock horror he was back selling again on the East Terrace Saturday and blanked me when I questioned him.

Clearly the mem needs fans who create an atmosphere. But John I'm sure is happy to be a cardboard cutout

The East and West Stand you can hear every Dorris slurping on their Bovril. Don't condone any sort violent or overly provoking behaviour. But certainly people who like to sing and support the team.

Clearly the mem needs fans who create an atmosphere. But John I'm sure is happy to be a cardboard cutout What we don't need is people who want to cause inconvenience to others by standing up in areas where people want to sit having paid for a seat. We don't need people who stand in gangways causing danger to others. We don't need people who want to come to the Mem to try to fight the opposition supporters. If you think any of the above is OK, then you are clearly part of the problem. Kind regards John Malyckyj

We are located in Section E towards the corner, no where near the middle or away fans. But still we are getting problems.
