Well i for one think it's a possibility JCH could be a gas player next year. Out of contact soon so a free agent, and he's definitely not in Peterborough's plans. Worth a chance for sure. Is he worth as gamble at 5.6.7 K P/W I'm going a YES. One year contract plus 1 if he comes good before transfer deadline. Has to be a no brainer !!!!!

Hell yes , we haven’t scored for eight games. To be fair JCH only has one goal in his last 13 games...

If the rumours of a 25% cut in the playing budget are to be believed then there's no way he will be coming here

Why are people convinced we will find our goalscoring Saviour in a player who can't even get into a rival league one team's starting XI? Admittedly he will be well rested having only played more than 45mins once this calendar year, but decent strikers rely on form and fitness and he will have neither in the summer...

Time to start using our budget wisely, not throwing it away on older expensive players. Yes we need a few older heads, like Finley, Ward etc but Taylors task for me is building a young, exciting team with pace and grit that can compete in the top 10. Not getting big names that underperform or spend half the season in the treatment room. UTG.

Hell yes , we haven’t scored for eight games. Jonson played for the club when the club went ten games without a goal. Bolton 1-1 Rovers

If we can get a younger version of JCH that will score 25+ goals then great. I think we’ll struggle to do that though - someone proven will cost way more than we could afford and so it means taking a big gamble on someone unproven and hope we are the only club to have spotted him!
JCH turns 30 in the summer so far from finished. Would be a good signing on a two year deal - ok his wages would be high but we don’t have a transfer fee so the package as a whole for someone close as anything to a guaranteed prolific goal scorer at this level would be worth it.
He probably isn’t in peak fitness or match sharp but who is match sharp in July? That’s what preseason training and friendlies are for. Get him in early and get him up to speed ready to hit the ground running on the opening day. I’d agree we generally need a younger squad but we still need a few older heads

P’Boro were certain he was leaving right up to the last minutes of the transfer window and had already made new signings and re-shaped their attack. They weren’t going to just drop all their plans because his transfer collapsed. It’s not like he’s not getting games solely because his form had previously fallen off a cliff - he just doesn’t fit what they are now doing. He’s still plenty good enough to play in any side in this division and be at the top of the scoring charts next season - imo.

But I would like us to follow the new Boro model ( or Plymouth last season) where we have pace and options. Not route one to a JCh or Martin. Happy to have Martin as back up. But shouldn’t be our Plan A imho
