TF that’s all done & dusted. Can we move on now ? Cureton wyhhb ? Andy Johnson will he ever rock up must be in West Broms walking football team now! Talking of West Brom, I recall getting tanked in the FA Cup quarter final 5-1 by them and Ishmael Miller ran us ragged. He was unplayable that day and just too strong scoring three.Might give him a call!!!!!!!

People seriously still think the ‘error’ in the summer wasn’t a deliberate pull of the plug? Is is so that He was so keen to come back, we were so keen to bring him in, we could afford him, happy to break a transfer record for him, that now we miraculously can’t even bring him in on a free tranfer? And he moves somewhere even further away? Do me a favour… I never ever believed it and thought it was good P.R. How can a club have nearly £1 million in one window. And then sell our striker for nearly a £1 million in the next?. Anyway it's in the pass now and this transfer split opinions . And it's not worth arguing about. How can messing up a deadline day transfer so that everybody in football laughs at you be good PR? It'll be interesting to see what MT has to spend this window as he has should have around £1.5m less the £250K(?) spent on Conteh.

Good Evans.
Evans signs JCH. Agent fee is satisfactory.
Evans joins Championship club. Good luck to him. Fee is satisfactory.
Evans signs a three year contract for The Gas. Agent is happy.
But. Which Evans?

Personally i'm gutted. Guaranteed 20 goals a season. I'm sure we'll sign some nobody from Palace's U23's instead who will be as weak as Fosters and as lethal as a marshmallow. Never been this unexcited as a Rovers fan in many many many years. Let's see what Exeter ressies Taylor has lined up before you get too despondent. 😆 Why so continuously bitter

Best game Ish Miller ever had, he got lucky that day, first goal was offside and the next two were down to awful defending by Joe Jacobson.

got to admire a fairly big transfer being done early by Rotherham - we're all waiting here looking at the 30th June for the first arrival.
Now they have JCH, Tom Eaves and Sam Nombe in a similar mould, one of the others has to leave surely?

I don't think there was ever any chance of us going back in for him, Taylor has openly talked about us needing more pace in the side & with Martin already in the squad there wasn't ever going to be room for both. Glad it's sorted early so we can move on

I would, in all seriousness. Would be a local move for him (as a Cardiff lad) and he's an incredible dead ball specialist at this level - imagine his corners onto the head of Connor Taylor and (hopefully) Elkan Baggott? 37yo but give him a one-year deal imo.

Okay so he’s gone to Rotherham a bit of a yo-yo side so almost certainly guaranteed a top 10 finish at least twenty goals plus in him at league 1 level, good for him sorting it out early. Shrewd business by Rotherham. And us? Pretty much mid table at best now he’s gone, I’m willing to see what Exeter players he brings in to go alongside goal machine Brown, but I’m not holding my breath!! Good start to the close season

Martin hasnt signed a new deal yet though has he? Might be a chance we end up with neither, which at this club I wont be surprised

His contract extension was in our gift and we triggered it. Good work Rovers. As for the people that keep going on about signing Exeter players. 1) he hasn't signed anyone from Exeter here yet. His only signing was from Grimbsy and just the type of signing everyone lauds all other clubs for making and 2) Exeter finished above the Gas, including the wonderful squad JB put together, 3 times in the last 3 season. maybe they arent all awful.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him at someone localish like Cheltenham for one last season

So much negativity on here at the moment. JCH on a free was always going to be more attractive to other clubs than JCH for £800k (or whatever his value would have reduced to in the Jan window).. so once a team like Rotherham were interested it was game over. Assuming we were ever really interested in the first place. Plenty of time for the rebuild to occur over the summer. Who knows.. we might yet put a half decent side together? Let's wait and see. (that said; I bet the first big announcement teased on Social Media will end up being a contract renewal for someone like Hoole, Sinclair, Rossiter or Martin )

Yeah we definitely had an option to extend Martin's contract.. but then in the retained list post they had him down as a "contract offered" rather than an "extension triggered" or something. Suggested to me that we had opted to renegotiate from scratch? Perhaps we didn't want him on as much as we brought him in on and gave him a reduced terms offer

Striker Martin joined Rovers in September 2023 and has scored 16 goals in 38 appearances this season. Young midfielder Lawrence came through the youth ranks at Rovers and has been involved in four senior matchday squads this campaign. Bristol Rovers can also confirm that new contracts have been offered to Scott Sinclair, Jordan Rossiter and Luca Hoole, and further updates will be issued as and when appropriate."
