Whilst they are better than anything we’ve had previously, I don’t think at present they are a game changer. Basically, it’s a nice flat pitch and a half , changing rooms and a car park. eric ... Have you been to the Quarters ? Its ok it is not brilliant and not the head turner some people claim it to be. Yatton is spot on !! The Mem is a joke .... The South Stand is an improvement for sure but the rest is non league standard - the dressing rooms are non league standard. The best thing it has going for it is a decent pitch and first class fan support on a good day. When compared to the Valley, the training facilities, the match day experience etc ... there really is a vast difference. Sadly that's not just the Valley we possibly rank in the bottom dozen teams in L1 + L2 for facilities etc... Yes I have thanks and it is a million miles from being a “crap” facility.

Didnt we all want a different approach to transfers like Peterborough ect.. We got outbid on wages by a bigger club it happens at all levels, I'd rather us be sustainable than blow the budget on a left back. Its promising that we're looking to pay fees puts a whole different slant on the market People here will take up whichever point they can use to have a go at rovers. Really tiring! Shame we missed out but shows we are willing to spend for the right player but not over pay on wages. That's great, people are allowed to have a different opinion, glad you are tired, just means not everybody agrees with you.

Was this the guy who Ian Holloway signed from Stirling Albion, turned out more like old mother. You're thinking of Martin Cameron who was signed from Alloa by Ollie. Reilly was picked up by DC from St Mirren. Other Gas lower league pick ups have in the Scottish lower leagues have included; - Sam Nicholson (Hearts of Midlothian) - Jim Eadie (Dumbarton & Kirkintilloch Rob Roy) - Ian Alexander (Motherwell) - Scott Shearer (Albion Rovers) - Scott Howie (Clyde) - John Anderson (Greenock Morton & Livingston) - Paul Coutts (Cove Rangers) - Darryl Duffy (Falkirk) On the whole I'd call them absolutely fine! Thought they all played in England before being signed by us, apart from Nicholson.

They are taking opposite opinions from ones they previously held to make another negative point. Happy to expand further if you still can’t understand. Hope you are having a lovely summer.

In January Barnsley tried to sign JE.
Dunfermline rejected their offer.
Since then 6 or 7 clubs, including WWFC, Lincoln City and Blackpool have expressed an interest in his signature.
If we pay high wages for new players the big money needs to be on forward thinking players and not full backs.
A shame that he has signed for a club where he might get plenty of bench time

We're a mid table club at best and now with a reduced budget, it was going to be impossible to compete with Charlton for his signature

There are two full size high quality EFL standard pitches & a separate goalkeeper training area. In addition there is a well equipped gym separate from the main building. The footings are already in to square off the ‘T’ shaped club house and were laid when the club house was built. The two pitches and the goalkeeping area are earmarked eventually to be sold off for housing and the pitches moved to the other side of the car park.

Why did we spend time and money having Edwards watched and putting together an offer then not paying decent enough wages. We new that Charlton were also in for him , we new there wages offer would be higher after the May signing they made last season , so we would have no chance of getting him unless we up our wages offer. Most players go where the money is , they have short careers and need to earn as much as possible in a short space of time, so I doubt whether he would be bothered with facilities, if we offered him a better wage than the competition.

I’m just stating the facts as they are and putting right comments which were incorrect. I would rather not criticise the training facilities which I thought were probably ok for the level of football we’re playing at. I can compare the stadium and its facilities with others and it falls well short of where it should be, as we all know.

Going to Charlton all day if it between 2 of us. Their training ground, stadium and history all greater than ours.
Unfortunately won't change anytime soon, whilst the Mem is a what it is and until the quarters is at a higher level, it's good by our standards...but a lot of players have come from Premiership clubs with top facilities.

It is not facilities it is money, especially when the player is playing in the Scottish Championship, I can't imagine is pay was anywhere near a league 1 players pay. If we want to pull in quality players we need to offer them the right money.

Our training facilities aren't a "game changer" as someone else put it, but they are adequate enough. They are at a similar level to those you mention, Oxford and Exeter and also those clubs I mentioned previously.
