Lot's appear to be calling him to have more game time.
Please tell me what is his best position and what formation the team need to be to get the best out of him.
Some keep saying he should be in midfield, but I cannot see him being a replacement for Conteh for example.

If we ant to score more goals than the opposition I would suggest starting with four at the back so we dont have to waste one of our most talented attackers defending (Thomas} My suggested team next week would be played -in 4-3-2-1 Griffiths RB (whoever is available} Taylor-Moore, Wilson, Mola
Thomas, Conteh, Hutchinson(11)
Forde(9), Sontoriou (11)
Cher (11) The brackets show the goals scored last season!!

Thomas will still be defending in that midfield!! I’d have him up in a front 3 of Thomas, Omichere and either Forde or Sotoriou 3-4-3 GRIFFITHS WILSON MOORE MOLA SENIOR CONTEH LINDSAY BILONGO THOMAS CHERRY FORDE Give the opposition something to worry about!! I like your thinking but how have you come up with 11 goals for the midfield? Conteh (0), Thomas (6) Hutchinson (15)

The question was about Kofi Shaw, not about any other individuals in team selection.

SteveK, Taylor is his first name, Moore is his surname. He isn't Taylor-Moore!

Shaw's a right winger, so the old No 7 role suits him in a 4-4-2 formation or in the ACM role in MT's preferred formation, the problem now is that also seems Forde's preferred position, Thomas has been out most creative player.

Seriously. Thomas as part of a 3 man midfield. Not sure what’s worse for him that or wingback.

I don't want this to be bashing Grant Ward but in simple terms, he's offered absolutely nothing so far this season. I would start Kofi alongside Garrett (obvs Conteh if he's back/ready) in the double pivot next week. His cameo v Rotherham was encouraging in terms of receiving the ball from the back three and progressing it (he's not a right winger).

Shaw showed in his cameo appearance yesterday that he can also be a member of the can't be bothered club. Just after he came on, he stood and watched an opponent, that was only a few yards away, waltz into our box. Not really what he should be showing if he wants to be a starter.

A straight swap for McCormick would be a good starting point Doubt Macca will start next week! For long periods yesterday, all I could hear was Macca, Macca ,Macca coming from the sidelines. I don't remember him reacting to any of these calls. I really don't know what has happened to him.

No idea what's going on with Hutchinson but if he is seemly now out of favour, Macca was the only option? I'm not sure why MT thinks Macca is an ACM as I assumed he was just a CM when he was with us during his loan spell?

You gotta go some to be out of favour after 3 league games 😀
An option I’m surprised wasn’t considered was Sinclair wide and LT through the middle….personally not for me as I just think LT is a winger but given the alternative I’m just surprised that wasn’t an option.

I can’t believe we got a player in shaw who’s only 17 and I believe in a few years or even by the summer will be sold for millions is already being labelled lazy by our own fans when he did more running in 20 mins then Macca did for a whole 70 mins.

i thought that Macca did well in the preseason games and he has been putting in a shift. it was only fair that he ben given a little game time to try and prove himself as Hutchinson is taking time to adjust yto the pace of the League. It does not mean that the new guy is out of favour more that this is a squad game and the manager is fully utilising that
