Obviously very excited to be watching this after 2 wins, but whats also going to be interesting is who doesn't even make the bench today. We have around 27 senior players with 4 of them out injured ( Davies, Rodman, Ayunga and Little) so we could see the likes of Walker, Liddle, Hargreaves and Kelly not making the 18.
If we keep the same starting 11 - which I think would be correct to do, the subs line up might be : JVS, Kilgour, Upson, JML, Nicholson, Otzumer and Leahy. Think Burton are going to make it tough for us, but we'll win 2-0 or 2-1. UTG !! p.s. Lot of people saying Otzumer will replace Daly eventually. I hope not, Daly is playing really well and as a forward. If Otzumer is going to shift someone I'd say it's more logical for it to be McCormick in a free midfield role.

''Leahy's not defensively good enough to be a LB, and not effective enough going forwards to be a LWB'' Fetch, ....if only you'd told the professional managers who put him on the pitch over 300 times! So far. (He's 27). Oddly I think he's a player that's decent enough but doesn't really have a position that is his. His distribution is tidy enough so he could potentially be a CDM? God knows. Don't agree with that. Once he crosses the halfway line I think he often gets panicky and gives the ball away. He's done ok, but in the summer most of us we're saying this is the area we needed to strengthen badly. BG found Tutonda - brilliant ! and maybe this ex-Burnely guy is going to play as back up, so Leahy may be on his way.

Why on earth did we extend Kelly's contract? I really don't understand it Well, Menayase extended his contract and then was bought by Mansfield.

Why wont they listen to you Pirate... LOL Got any younger Brandon Hanlan type players that we can use for immediate cover and then develop in the u23s ? Would be keeping a close eye on Luke Charman at Darlington, Lewis Reilly at Chorley, Joe White at Hendon, Jacob Wakeling at Alvechurch, George Nikaj at Dover/Ramsgate, Alex Fletcher at Tiverton, Joe Iaciofano at Havant & Waterlooville and Kesna Clarke at Tooting & Mitcham. I like Fraser Preston at Boston United, but he is playing more as a winger. Edit: Ben House is one at Eastleigh who I think could continue to impress this season and eventually attract interest from higher levels. As I've said before though, the one striker I'd like to see us sign and develop further is Tristan Abrahams. The only thing is we've already got 3 strikers of our own to develop - Phillips, Hulbert and Warwick.

I think BG and the team still have lots to prove. Hopefully they can build on last 2 league results. Quite. It's two games. Apparently we need to give ten before judging so let's not get too carried away. Like I said, pleased we've got some wins on the board. yeah and you were dishing it out after the first 3 so remember that the next time we lose a game or two.

Funny how the hate and vitriol when we have had a bad result is never matched by the praise and credit for a good one. Yes awful long way to go but w2 d1 l2 given our opening 5 fixtures is not too bad. Let's just enjoy the moment, BG may yet surprise his critics. I think there is a lot of praise and credit. I've certainly praised Garner and the team. you are a different specimen

an away win is a further step forward, no doubt, against a team that is in form and the commentary was full of praise for the defensive work compared to Doncaster so it seems like there has been change. But while there is evidence of defensive improvements I’m still not convinced there are enough goals in this team. Everyone mocks the “Garner needs penalties to win” stat but there is a serious point there- forgive me if I’m wrong but no team has ever had a penalty in every league game of their season. The odd penalty here and there is great but we have to be able to score two goals a game on our own merits from open play yet we’ve had to rely on those penalties more than our own scoring ability.
So overall some humble pie for this particular result in isolation, but I’m still very sceptical that the last three games are going to have a positive snow ball effect long term. Are you feeling ok ?

Fantastic result, and whilst I have been a serious doubter of BG, I have to say I am delighted that the performances have started to get much better. Well done BG and the players, onwards and upwards. UTFG! performance was very good until they went down to 10 men . 2 stupid bookings as well.

Good win for Gas. Players put a real shift in against a decent Lincoln side. Did the Garner Out Henchmen have time to call for him to go when Lincoln took the lead ?

I think we’ll continue to mature as a team and get something from the game.... 1-1 is my prediction with a good performance.... we’ll follow that up with a win next week and things will be looking a lot healthier and hopefully some of the questions of BG will be answered and we can all unite on the football rather than the manager I couldn't agree more. I'm lost for words how about 10 Gasheads on here seem more interested in BG than the club and the team and because of that everything they write is NEGATIVE. BG is the manager - I don't love him/ don't hate him and we know he's probably going to lose his job in 2 years' time or sooner, like the average manager. I think we'll draw or win today. We shouldn't worry too much that Lincoln have won their first 4, look at Hull last night - won their first 4 and got thumped 4 -1. I think it's a shame Ayunga is injured as I think he can positively influence games whether starting or sub, but I think the players' confidence is growing and we can do well today. UTG !

Here's a target. Why not aim for a positive thread for a change? It's a stats thread. I can't help it if those stats aren't positive. Hope we will improve them hey? Are you still worrying ? It's only football. Have a beer and unwind.

...there is nothing to beat the excitement of seeing a player dance past a defender and cross for a centre-forward... Genuinely don't recall KB doing that once while he was here. To be fair Kyle hit the woodwork a lot in his early days here..... ..........................with a gaping goal in front of him.

Plenty of time for Tom to make his mark here with us, but for now I think it’s a good idea going out on loan to get regular minutes and aid his development. Same with Phillips and Tomlinson. Indeed. It’s brilliant he has impressed against Walsall & Oxford in the Trophy. Though it is quite a different proposition against the likes of Peterborough, Hull, Charlton & the like in a competitive league match. A loan move for valuable experience is correct in my opinion. He is still a kid, there is plenty of time to ease him into the first team squad. someone writing sense here. The EFL trophy is just reserve team matches these days. Rovers made 9 changes and Oxford made 7 from their previous league games.

Poor judgment by Garner regarding Mehew who is the only natural scorer we have at the moment who is delivering. Has Garner got a perverse aversion to natural talent? How many 90 minutes have you seen him play ?

Baby Boris is showing up Clever Ben. Ben's decided to develop a Chelsea player rather than one of our own in the League, the second time he has done this. A shame really. Only negative comments from you.

Correct me if I am wrong but I make that 11 Defenders 10 Midfielders 3 Stikers Thats not including Mehew and a few others that have made appearances We also have 3 other pro centre forwards, won't bother listing them. Leave that as a bit of homework for you teach

Another young, lightweight central midfielder. As others have said it appears an odd transfer. What did you make of the win on Saturday ?
