Brings his Swindon side to the Mem for the magical ‘game 10’ of the season
Will be looking to haunt the club that sacked him
Will he scare the living daylights out of Barton?
No pressure on Garner it seems, he must be looking forward to his return, will be interesting to see the reaction from our fans and the greeting he gets from our superior manager.

Think the reaction will be respectful from both parties ,as it should be.

Could turn ugly on the touch line, I hope both managers have their solicitors on standby.

Big difference between the two: BG knows how to behave and respect others.

It doesn’t bare thinking about if we lose!! After all the insults Barton managed to sling towards Garner, he won’t look good if this negligent excuse for a manager gets one up on him!!
Fascinating stuff.

Can you imagine...who will take the Agogo role in your scenario? Ummmm....thinking....ummmm. No, we have no such player, nor the fight of that team in that infamous game.

Regardless of who is coming to the Mem, JB needs to start winning and getting results. Swindon needs to be one of those teams.

I am sure Garner will want to display superior tactics and coaching after the slagging off he got from Sir Gobby. Which, based upon the evidence to date, shouldn't be difficult.

Think some are getting excited at the thought of Garner winning this game.
I think given how sh** Barton has been some have forgotten how sh** Garner was too.
Ultimately, some seem to have forgotten under whom this rot started.
Won’t be getting a good reception from me.

Th small signs are there, such as th first half yesterday, we really need everyone available especially our best (IMO) player Nicholson an our big target Clarke , we look much stronger with either of them. I realise patience is not wanted by many an tbh I think we may struggle against th O’s an Swindle, but our squad looks decent an I still think once it turns we will go on a run 👍

Yep, Garner failed but probably deserved a bit more time as there were glimmers of improvement towards the end of his time at the club. Barton has been worse so far and what concerns me is his short-term approach. Still think it's a safe mid-table squad who will improve as the season progresses but never be automatic promotion contenders. I think the Swindon game will mean a lot to both managers. Barton claims of Garner's negligence will not easily be forgot by Garner and Barton's claims will certainly look foolish if Swindon take the points. Barton will certainly gloat if his team picks up the points guess it will be down to official if we loose. My guess is it will be a draw and both will come away with pride in tact.

I went to the game last Saturday and I was shocked to see how poor the Gas are! I can’t see how anyone can seriously think we are going to be contenders not with these players I don’t like to be negative but bloody hell we are going to struggle to stay up this season and If we were to drop out again I dread to think 😱 Looking forward to Harrogate though👍

No he was given far too long. Nobodies pride will be intact both squads were relegated from L1 with a whimper and both managers played a significant part in us getting relegated. Barton had the benefit of the doubt from me as he had a job on his hands cleaning up Garners mess. Although that is rapidly eroding. We were 4th when Garner took over. And no, it wasn’t a false position. The only false position was the form Garner had which was allegedly “signs of improvement”. The “sh** football” we allegedly had under GC was replaced with three managers who really did give us sh** football.

Wasn't given a chance, wasn't part of the Evolution thinking, wasn't given the freedom JB has to choose his players.and basically run the show (badly). We'll never know now, but our league position when Tisdale left compared to now? We can but dream.

We have been in a slump for far too long now and crowds will soon drop if we continue to fail scoring. Don't think we have nearly enough quality whoever the manager is.Liked GC and Tisdale too needed longer but BG wasn't right at all.Not sure what the answer is and neither it seems does Mr Wael.

Why don't we have enough quality, who are you really expecting us to sign in L2? I doubt there's many players better than Nicholson at this level and Pitman scored 15 goals last season in L1, plus Saunders and Anderson are good enough when playing well. Evans and Thomas with Westbrook as back up should also be good enough.
It's pointless saying you liked GC as he choose to leave himself, whilst PT was a total failure. Some day performance will turn, whether it's under Barton or yet another manager is anybody's guess.

Tisdale lost it when he didn't sign a striker and then suggested he needed to be a magician, he was so bad even Mr Injury Mark Little publicly criticised him.
