Have they really got the resources to do that?

Mad Dog is probably playing clever here. May have no intent on signing, but derailing us till we are passed the deadline.
I hope Rovers are still talking to his agent. Now way Barnet can offer better terms

They may offer him a contract,we only wanted to loan him Fair point. Another possibility though is Southend wages while on loan for the rest of the season with a better future than being a Barnet player on the end of it.

What else do they have to offer? A date with one of their 250 fans?

They are owned by an ambitious multi millionaire who's ploughed £20m into the Hive alone, I assume they can sign who they want if the owner will fund it?

Also Barnet is a hell of a lot closer to Southend than Bristol.

Barnet are not a poor club. Our player budget this year is lower that yours but it's because we don't go into debt to pay for it. The Hive makes good money on non machdays to support our small crowds.
The Barnet chairman has confirmed that money is available and with David Hunt leaving we are a midfielder down.

You only lease the Hive how can it generate enough money to pay a £1m wage budget?
Anyway why do you think Rovers have gone into debt paying this season's budget, our debts are mainly down to failed stadium attempts not over paying players wages, if Sainsbury's ever pay up we won't have any debts.

The Hive was a burden to the council in its half built state. They practically gave it to the club for nothing on a 125 year lease, so no cost there.
Money is made from the Hive by having national teams like Brazil, Germany and Argentina train there before they play England. There is also a £4 million medical centre being built with Toshiba which will provide rehab for Premier League players with top quality MRI scanners which only currently exist at Man Utd. Added on to the ticket revenue from London Broncos, London Bees, daily gym usage, pitch hire and banqueting facilities, the chairman is able to invest money into the squad.

Thank you for that information, i was unaware of some of that. Sounds like an excellent business plan. I applaud Barnet FC.

Surprised he's gone to Barnet. Much smaller club than us who's lead is not a guarantee of promotion by any means.
f**k him.

Can't believe the arrogance of our fans who think he should sign for us just because we have more fans? I'm pretty sure that's way off the top of most player's lists of things they think about when signing for a new club.
