I agree with most of your your report. I would like to pull out 2 points in particular:
1. We don't look very threatening whilst playing with wing backs, and Bolton totally exploited us on the break. Please DC 4-4-2 or whatever formation that 2nd half was last night! 2. Easter has to start - without doubt our most classy player. Never gives possession away cheaply and great football brain. Better in midfield/withdrawn forward role than out and out striker though IMO.

Only 4 games in but one of the player of the seasons for me so far. We never saw any of Lines driving runs last night and I do wonder if it's when he plays with certain players. I've questioned Ollie Clarke but I think the lad after Scunny away proved his worth but more importantly let Lines do his stuff against Oxford. I also felt DC took off the wrong man last night in keeping Sincs on. Stuart has a role for us this season, it's a squad game and I put him above Lawrence. But for both promotion run ins we saw Lines step up and drive us on and in both seasons Sincs was out injured. I watched the second half closely yesterday and Sincs got a lot of the ball but rarely made a forward pass. While he had the ball Lines never had it dictating our play. I'm not saying Lines is Gerrard but he our version in our team, when I see Lines and Sincs together it reminds me of the days of Gerrrard and Lamps together for England, together it doesn't work. The beauty of Sincs is he can impact a game off the bench, fill in pockets on in midfield or even out wide but right now I think Lines needs Ollie Clarke or Mansell next to him. I have thought this about Sincs and Lines for a while. Is it a coincidence that we've had great form at the back end of the last two seasons, with Lines in full flow and SS out injured?

all the best - I shall miss the blog.
Also, you just can't account for some people - blaming you for the Post's overuse of ads.
It may not even the EP's fault, seems all local papers are based on the same stupid setup!

I know I'm in a minority here but I like a glass of proper cider but Thatchers is like drinking alcoholic apple tango with extra sugar. I don't know how people drink it. Or watch Yeovile for that matter. I tried a pint of Thatchers Haze thinking it might actually be cider. Turned out to be some sort of Alco-pop. Thatchers Heritage is the one to drink IMO - don't see it too often though.

Also reading through them all, it would appear we don't mind playing a 'B' team as long as the competition is really for the 1st team. Then it's not a B team, is it? It's the 1st team. In any case, the last first match of the EFL cup team (3rd round last year) Chelsea put out was this: Begovic, Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill, Baba, Mikel, Loftus-Cheek, Ramires, Kenedy, Remy, Falcao If Chelsea put out a similar strength side against us then fair play to them. What I meant is that if they choose to field a 2nd string it appears we would find that acceptable because it is a choice - and that is where the line the OP was looking for is drawn.

I think this is a great question, and the amount of responses would seem to back that up.

I personally hope the lower league fans send a massive message to the organisers that this is farcical.

Great report stevek192 - agree with everything. Would like to add how brilliant I think it is that we have a Bristolian central midfield partnership!

Poor response to Briz Reds chaps - after a reasonable question as well! Plenty of Rovers fans on Otib who get fair responses and a bit of banter that they crave!!! UTG! I agree. Tin hat on, but I'd like to think we would be more open to letting those reds that feel the need to post on here. With regard to Briz Red, he's very subtly antagonistic. I think he wants the poor response so it can be posted all over otib how much more tolerant they are of us than we are of them.

Thanks for the report stevek192. Agree with you on James Clarke, looks like a class act. I also thought Taylor's quality showed last night. He may not have set the world on fire, but he looked a class act against a higher level opposition.

You can try Now TV, you may have to buy a week worth subscription, but they might have a free trial. Perfectly legal and legit way of watching Sky Sports as far as I know. www.nowtv.com/sports#ib-section-section-2

I think it's fairly obvious that improvements could be made to the experience of dealing with the club as a customer. I've created this thread to serve as a log for when people have an experience when dealing with the club that they feel could be improved. My hope would be that someone from the club will read this thread and take action where appropriate. So I'll kick off with something that just happened that I thought needs re-organising... I had what I would term a "General Enquiry". Looking at the "contact us" page on the club website, I see a section called "General Enquiries" and a telephone number underneath. Brilliant - I think to myself - just what I need. So I phone said number, and am asked to listen carefully to the following options. I don't remember them all exactly but was something like... For club shop press 1For ticketing enquiries press 2For hospitality press 3For bars press 4 For media dept press 5. . . For General Enquiries press 9There were two things about this I found absolutely bizarre: - Never before have I ever telephoned a company and been presented with a total of TEN options. This needs distilling to a manageable amount. Trying to listen to the options and at the same time think "Is it one I need, or is it six? No it's 9" is not easy for the average person.
- I phoned a number listed as General Enquiries - so why was General Enquiries option nine in the list? Seems ludicrous to me!
I should balance this by saying the lady with whom I spoke was absolutely lovely, and that part of the experience was very positive. Now whilst some may feel I'm moaning about nothing, I think small stuff can be important (pie-gate springs to mind!). If your attention to detail during customer interaction is good, you stop looking like an amateur outfit and start looking like you know what you're doing.

I'm undecided about OC. Whilst it seems he is probably out of his depth, he scored a couple of important goals from the centre of midfield towards the end of last season.
Goals from the middle is definitely something we all agree we need more of.

Let's try and remember that English isn't Wael's first language before we rip him apart over out dictionary definitions. Wasn't he educated in London, presumably at a very expensive school? I'd wager his English is better than mine

"That piece of news is disingenuous. Let's wait to hear from the official people in charge when they are ready." What a mysterious choice of words. To type "disingenuous" when "not true" would be easier and better. And referring to the people in charge as some sort of third party. Does he mean UWE, and the decision is now in their hands alone? Getting concerned now. I really don't want to learn in a couple of months that the new tents are the new stadium. To me, disingenuous means misleading rather than untrue. It's certainly a strange word to use if Chimp is out right lying or completely wrong. Okay, I concede. Maybe it is a strange word to use. I still think it's paranoid behaviour to think the whole stadium deal is off because of one word that Wael used - which - however you look at it - means not (entirely at least) true.

I'm sure Wael used disingenuous because it better describes how he sees the Chimp tweet. It is both untrue and gives the appearance of being truthful.

So really it's a nice-to-have for UWE. It's not like the project will be dead if the car park doesn't start soon. I have a feeling this is going to drag on for a long time yet. Hey ho, as long as it works out in the clubs' bets interest in the end.

Can anyone remember the reason why the car park build must be started by October this year? Bump!

1) I'm fairly happy with the squad just feel we need to sign another striker and wide man, ideally a CM as well but we've already plenty of options 2) According to SH's latest interview the UWE is almost a done deal 3) I think the majority of Gasheads wouldtake evolution than a Pantsdown type revolution? Plus they've paid off the Wonga loan which was threatening to bankrupt us this summer 4) Not sure any of us expected the shirt before the Open Day, even if we moan about that although good Errea have finally gone 5) Limited money is being spent on the Mem to increase capacity etc. Those are the most positive words I've ever seen you post Topper!
