I cannot believe this pantomime is still going on,hopefully the club have set a deadline for this, others have mentioned Friday, the sooner this ends the better. It's been quite useful really. It's taken the focus off of other issues that would normally be irking the forums. We are heading into the 3rd tier with 3/4 of a conference team. Our ground shows no obvious signs of making progress. Our billionaire owner has spent very little. Our new kits are late. Whilst I agree with the sentiment of this post I have to pull you up on the highlighted part. The Al-Qadis have never to my knowledge claimed to be billionaires, and anyone who researched them on the very day of the takeover would've realised this. If only some journalists had done their homework perhaps we wouldn't have this misunderstanding. Also, they have come in and cleared millions of BRFC debt which would have killed us. If you think this constitutes spending "very little" then I must live on a different planet to you.

I'm sure there are irons in the fire, and if DC has suspected we'd lose him since the end of last season then i'd be very surprised to find out we haven't. But until someone puts pen to paper the offer must remain on the table. There is no reason to pull it. How long do you give him? We're just over 4 weeks till the season starts. Another week, 2, 3? Got to put a mark on it sometime. I think we carry on like he's not going to be a Rovers player and look for a replacement. If we find someone, we withdraw the offer. Imagine this... It's the day before the season starts and we haven't got anyone else to replace MT. MT - who is a 20+ goal a season striker which is not not easy to find! - turns around and says, okay I'll sign. Do we say a) F#ck off you took too long and our offer is withdrawn. b) Here's a pen, sign here!

I think everyone has now accepted that Taylor will not be a gas head next season. I hold no hard feelings towards him, if he decides to leave, and thank him for helping us get back up to league 1. Just wondered who everyone would like to see us sign to replace his goals. Can't see Gaffney or Harrison taking up the mantle myself, if i'm honest, so would like to see us sign 2 quality strikers. I disagree - especially on Gaffney. Not saying we don't need to replace Taylor, but I could see Gaffney hitting form and getting his fair share of goals this season as I've always thought there is more to come from him.

Why, what would it achieve? He hasn't signed for anyone else, and we haven't got a replacement. I can not see the sense in withdrawing the offer at this stage. If we had a replacement then yes, but until then why? We must have made enquiries to replace him. Be foolish not to have done so. I'm sure there are irons in the fire, and if DC has suspected we'd lose him since the end of last season then i'd be very surprised to find out we haven't. But until someone puts pen to paper the offer must remain on the table. There is no reason to pull it.

Enough talk about Taylor! I really like how DC said he has faith in the owners to take the club forward by building the infrastructure.
Echos what I've hoped is true about WAQ!

Withdraw the contract and say thank you for everything. Why, what would it achieve? He hasn't signed for anyone else, and we haven't got a replacement. I can not see the sense in withdrawing the offer at this stage. If we had a replacement then yes, but until then why?

Am I missing something, as how is Brexit really going to effect a Div 1 club anymore than the rest of the nation? Totally bizarre making any statement in my view, unless this is a preclude to announcing finance for the UWE is no longer available? It does bring about uncertainty around the economy and the strength of the pound. Could be an issue for potential UWE investors who may shy away from putting their money into British assets.

Can anyone post a link to this TV programme? Is it a terrestrial or free view, and if so , can you tell me the channel number. Thanks very much, It's on channel 7 on my freeview. It should appear here at some point: www.madeinbristol.tv/player/?playercat=76601Any idea how long these normally take to appear? I've been checking all week but nothing yet. Have a feeling this one won't make it!

It was a tweet from madeinbristoltv quoting SH. The tweet "mentioned" Official_BRFC but afaik nothing official from the club. That seems just a repeat of what SH told R Bristol on Thursday. I think the main difference was madeinbristoltv quoted him as saying an announcement on Monday. On Radio Bristol he was a bit more vague. Here, see for yourself:

I thought SH simply said there will, hopefully, be an announcement early next week, I can't recall him saying it would definitely be tomorrow or have I missed something? Personally, with the luck we've had so far with stadium plans, I'd avoid making any major announcements on the 13th! It was a tweet from madeinbristoltv quoting SH. The tweet "mentioned" Official_BRFC but afaik nothing official from the club.

Rory Gaffney and Jermaine Easter I believe. Easter currently out of contract. Well, my source of info was from Severncider notes on this thread BRSC AGM Q&A. DC was asked (back in November) which players had contracts beyond the end of the season and Easter was one of them. I guess this may be wrong though.

Rory Gaffney and Jermaine Easter I believe. Plus Stuart Sinclair and Liam Lawrence, who was promised a new contract if we were promoted automatically. Yes, forgot about SS. I know LL had an option written into his current contract if we were promoted, not sure if he's taken it though.

Does anyone know who was already under contract for next season because their contracts didn't run out at the end of the season? Rory Gaffney and Jermaine Easter I believe.

I've never quite understood or appreciated what Gosling offers either. For me he's either on fire or non-existent. Pretty sure in an interview Lee Brown named him as the most naturally talented player he'd played alongside. If he consistently played to the level he can he'd be a massive asset for us(imo of course!)

Some of you should hang your head in shame. Disgusting attitudes towards a man who has done so much for us and will continue to do so. Well, it's a bit like the girlfriend thing, isnt it? It's only the ones you really like, that you bother to get upset about. If you don't really care that much about her, then you can let her go without too much of a fuss, it's only the best ones that you go round their house when they're not there, break in, and take a meat cleaver to their panty drawer, then sh** on their bed, and write a poem on their bedroom wall out of smeared excrement, kill their cat, and write 'me and the cat still luv u,' in its blood on the ceiling and then send them 300 texts begging for their forgiveness, while hiding in their loft, humming your special song incessantly until the police come. I imagine. You need to seek professional help.

Would idelly like the club to make some sort of announcement today regarding Dc at least to put our minds at rest or drive us mad either way the waiting game is dividing us. Leeds still haven't met the conditions yet so there is nothing to say.

If he goes or not, I am thankful for the work he has done.
Because of his work we have new owners with ambition and drive to take us forward and THAT is what really matters long term.

Probably Penrice, or Holloway the first time as a player.
