I wouldn't rule anything out. Personally I cannot see the AQ's being In this for the long haul despite what Wael is saying at the moment. Would he saying be saying anything different? Perhaps a few months ago we had what was perceived to be a "top 6 budget" - what would a top 6 budget be in most people's eyes - maybe £2/3 million - we've spent nothing like that and not likely to. I wonder why? There's has been no known movement wrt The Colony - and certainly no significant spend commitment - I wonder why? DC was given a new five year contract - maybe he's earned it, or he knew UWE was off and he would of been off to pastures new or just may be the BoD are protecting his interests in the event of a sell out. I'm sure DC's aspirations/vision have been seriously dented. Clearly the club at the moment appear reluctant to spend/commit any 'big' money until this whole sorry saga is sorted out. A lot of assumptions have been made wrt UWE but nobody on here actually know the reasons why the club pulled out (couldn't agree terms is all we know - simple easy statement but plainly obvious) just may be the AQ's are no longer committed who knows - clearly UWE were surprised by the decision but to effectively pull the plug because allegedly UWE had not responded to a deadline after 18 months of negotiations seems a bit feeble. Personally I will keep an open mind but as I said earlier I cannot believe for one minute the AQ's are here for the long haul You say a lot of assumptions have been made while writing a massive statement of assumptions

Nichols is not the problem and like the snake will possibly need time to get going. The bigger problem is DC has also kept Ellis and Gaffney, neither score enough goals, and he has not brought in the number of "better players" he promised to bring in over the summer. That is why we are 2 and O and looking awful from back to front. The more I think about it the more I think this summers recruitment is a big disappointment, especially when you look at some of the signings other League One clubs have made. The "top 6 budget" bollocks we were fed is just that, BOLLOCKS. Yet you've been singing Southends praises with their signings especially at the back. They lost 5-0.

I'm pretty sure since played in the 3 in midfield on Tuesday? Didn't it go: Smith Leads. Locks. Sweeney. Brown Sercombe Lines. Sinclair Bodin. Nichols. Harrison What are you basing that on? What was posted on twitter? No I was at the game, yes Sinclair was was left of the three midfielders but I don't think he was playing left wing

It's not DC's style but I'd stick with Tuesday's team. Why Not? We all know sincs isn't a natural winger but he played very well out there on Tuesday and until we have another option he's fine to cover there. We have Moore to bring on if we want to go more attacking and to stick with 442 or can easily push sincs inside and go 433. And i think we'll win, going for 3-1. I'm pretty sure since played in the 3 in midfield on Tuesday? Didn't it go: Smith Leads. Locks. Sweeney. Brown Sercombe Lines. Sinclair Bodin. Nichols. Harrison

Won't be making the game by the looks of it. 9:00 train stuck on track as Lorrie has hit a bridge further down the track. Gutted Really? I'm on the 9.30 and it just took the route around Bath and Chippenham. We've moved! 1 1/2 delay but I'll make it!! Thank god!!

Well if it remains to be seen and it's too soon to judge why are you calling them fake? You seem to be backtracking. So, are they fake? Did they bluff, lie and bluster? Are they out of their depth? Do they have no courage or class? Come on, you're the one talking about integrity and answering questions properly, you can't even answer a few simple ones about statements you made yesterday. I'm not backtracking. I'll happily do so if proven wrong though. How about you if it turns out that there are reasons we should be worried about the recent turn of events and the future of the FC? Then I know I would hold my hands up and say we need a change. But at this moment in time I will be on the clubs side. Let's hope eh!

Like I said I don't agree with it, if something needs saying, say it. But you may be correct. IF that was the case I don't believe it means it was their fault and are running away from the club. I wouldn't blame them for doing that if they were just interested in making money, it wouldn't be logical to give customers bad news and expect them to commit to a whole season especially when the carrot being dangled all these years has turned rotten. Maybe that was why the deadline of August was given as most ST sales would have already been in the bag? I've lost a lot of money in the past but ive turned it around and then some, enough to consider semi retirement before I reach 40. Transparency is key to earning trust in my experience, of course you are never going to know exactly what is going on when negotiations are being carried out but when something has been decided, like you said, announce it or you risk someone else announcing it in their own way. I'd love to know when they were planning to tell us, as they obviously weren't prepared to tell us anytime soon. I agree. They've had a big setback and the leak hasn't helped. Maybe I'm naive but I feel they are still committed and willing to make this work and this was just a big setback

Although I don't agree, I imagine they wanted to wait for a better time to announce it. We have 2 very different views but I can understand where you're coming from. After next Fri when ST sales ends? Like I said I don't agree with it, if something needs saying, say it. But you may be correct. IF that was the case I don't believe it means it was their fault and are running away from the club.

Tue, but I don't necessarily think speaking first means telling the truth. My thinking anyway. True, but four days after the 'deadline' and not a word from the AQ family? It stinks. Although I don't agree, I imagine they wanted to wait for a better time to announce it. We have 2 very different views but I can understand where you're coming from.

But we have to fall for the nonsense UWE spout? Or theirs isn't nonsense and ours always is? So far, we've only heard a little bit from their side. We've heard nothing from ours. Tue, but I don't necessarily think speaking first means telling the truth. My thinking anyway.

To be fair to DS they are based in Jordan, the UWE in Bristol so it's fairly easy for them to wheel somebody out In Bristol for the cameras, DS' spokesman in Bristol, whether we like him or not, appeared for interviews, Wael's due here this weekend. I was told months ago the UWE now wanted the full land value, if that's true, then is paying that really in the club's interests? Would you be happy if we eventually became the next Coventry if the ALQ's decided they couldn't keep meeting our losses at the UWE? The 'deadline' was Monday. The story broke late Wednesday. DS must have known a sh**-storm was about to break out. They had enough time to get their PR machine in place. Being based in Jordan is no excuse. Hamer is not really a spokesman for DS. It's obvious that he doesn't know much about what is going on behind the scenes. See I agree with you about being poor pr. But UWE new the deadline was Monday and have said that yesterday but also said they don't know why? If they knew when it was they most likely know why? So maybe UWE are the ones telling porkies? That's my angle.

But we have to fall for the nonsense UWE spout? Or theirs isn't nonsense and ours always is? Exactly. It's always our fault. The thing is I'm not saying it isn't our fault, just that always seems to be the default mode and we never look at anyone else.

It would be nice gesture if the UWE (who up until now have not behaved like English Gentlemen with their delays and deliberate ignoring of deadlines) were to apologise to the Al-Qadi family. Who says the delays were the fault of the UWE? the 'deliberate ignoring of deadlines' is a Red Herring. Please don't fall for that nonsense. But we have to fall for the nonsense UWE spout? Or theirs isn't nonsense and ours always is?

It is funny how you talk about Wael as if he's a troubled teenager who's always up to no good, so the family made him get a job in the pub so he's not in the streets I know a LOT of rich families and this sort of scenario is quite common. Not saying that's whats happening here though It may be the case, but in no way do I think the family think he's this out of control brother.

His background is actually Computer Science, or at least that was his Degree. NH background was construction surely he'd know how to get us a stadium built w/o any hitches As far as Wael I wonder if the family were happy to see him leave the bank so he could stay out of trouble just running a small football club in far away Bristol? It is funny how you talk about Wael as if he's a troubled teenager who's always up to no good, so the family made him get a job in the pub so he's not in the streets

Just for clarification, why do you have no reason to doubt UWE spokesman you've never heard of before and not our club? Where is the club spokesman to refute these claims from UWE? Where is the press conference to explain things? Okay I get you. I too want an explication but I'm willing to wait for one before deciding who to believe, but without both sides yet I will always be more inclined to my club.
