They won't listen to the fans. It's only money that talks. Our best hope is that Checkatrade have experienced enough adverse publicity to not want to sponsor it again next year and that it puts others off from doing so. No sponsor, no competition. However they say there's no such thing as bad publicity, as demonstrated by this post, as I just searched for their website to check that there aren't any hyphens in Checkatrade (as I know what the grammar police are like on here) so they got one more hit that they wouldn't have got otherwise. Doh!

If he does go, would we look lower down the leagues at an up and coming manager like Peter Beadle who has just got Hereford FC promoted again?

He will stay with us until England come knocking! IMO he will be the England manager before his career Is finished We need to hold onto him for as long as possible and as previous posters have said a new stadium would act as a huge incentive to stay along with a decent budget to make signings in the summer I see what you mean about the England job being a perfect fit, as he already has lots of experience being knocked out of cup competitions by lower ranked opposition.....(he can take a joke, can't he? đDC)

I thought our local wildlife expert was Harrison. đ Sorry, it's Ellie, isn't it, not Ellis who presents Countryfile. I can picture her now stroking a little rabbit...

Hoping for a positive response today. If Southend lose and we win by a minimum of eleven goals then we could be up to seventh! đ Only nine more to go! đ

IMO Jamie has not been given a fair crack at BRFC, with gaffney and James probably the least effective forward partnership in the whole of the UK, why not give Jamie a chance ? Yes, I thought Lucas would get a chance but I guess he did not have a great time at Borehamwood and I think he's now 23 so not that young anymore. Perhaps DC does not see him as part of his plans or is just giving him a final chance to show what he can do at Woking. Must admit after that loan at Weston a few years back I thought we had a real prospect but he does seems to have struggled in the national league (conference) and one or two on here have questioned fitness. Â He obviously showed ability in the youth team but as we know from DC's recent interviews he rates attitude, and fitness above ability so we can hazard a guess that JL isn't quite fulfilling DC's expectations in those departments. However, just because he's going out on loan doesn't necessarily mean it's the end of the road; it wasn't for Harrison when he went on loan to Hartlepool, although nobody mentions Gosling any more.

...and one last thing, in this month's Architecture Today magazine there is an article on Oriam, Scotland's new national sports performance centre on the Herriot Watt University campus, designed by Reiach & Hall, where they have taken design inspiration for the curvature of the roof over the indoor pitch from Roberto Carlos' celebrated long-range free kick against France in the 1997 Confederations Cup. Researchers at the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris actually analysed the trajectory of the ball and discovered that it followed an equiangular spiral path which was then used as a template for the roof. I've got a feeling that if we used a similar approach based on BRFC players we could end up with quite a narrow but very tall space! đ

Just can't place where it's located ,is it near Thornbury? Google search m4 m5 interchange, select images. I believe it's the south west segment or opposite side of the m5 from Bradley Stoke. I'm sure someone can stick the image on here. I know it's against forum rules to post facts, but like others before me in this thread I have downloaded some of the supporting documents to both the original and recent BRFC planning applications for Colony Farm. The actual building proposal is very modest so I can see why they are drawing up new plans, anyway I thought they might be of interest so starting with the location and site plan here goes!

How many signatures on a petition do we need to force the FA to conduct an extraordinary review of the game/refs performance? Oh wait, that's the HoP. Shame we can't though....

Friend of mine at Cinderford last night. Spoke with Steve Hamer. James has a nut allergy and was given something at the pre match meal which contained traces of nuts. Kept in overnight and home the following day. ....yet more concrete evidence that Tuesday night was a stitch up! Joking aside, I know someone who has a nut allergy and they are always incredibly careful and ask if there is the possibility that food contains nuts as they know it could potentially be fatal. If JC is aware of his condition then I expect he is the same, so it's not unreasonable to assume that someone has been negligent somewhere along the line. (Outrage on someone else's behalf...I think I'm getting the hang of this forum now)!

...north west corner. If you look at the site plan posted on the first page of this thread you can see the M5 at the bottom right hand side of the page forming the eastern boundary to the Colony Farm site. Wales is off to the left. đ

It does seem like the punishment was disproportionate to the alleged crimes. I've watched the footage several times and it is really difficult to be certain that there was intent to deceive as it all happens so quickly and at some distance from the observer. If Sincs had hacked someone down then fair enough, but there is a reasonable element of doubt. Perhaps there is a place for rugby/ice hockey sin bins in football for this kind of thing, I.e. Gamesmanship, arguing with the ref, etc.
