Was going on the basis he is a loan player not a full-time BRFC player. If he bangs in 15 goals before Christmas Peterborough are not going to let him go cheap. [b He banged in 2 in 20 games last season in lg2 so dnt get carried away! Taylor was 4th. Choice striker a FGR. That was until our management team got him playing to potential. I am sure Marcus will bring the best out in a good, long term prospect hopefully!

If the mods are undecided they should give this thread until 10pm and then withdraw it. The Mods are monitoring the situation. This thread has had offers from the other threads, but can't decide. The thread has to think of its future. If it stays here, it could flourish and be big enough to go anywhere by next season. If it goes now, it could lose itself and be forgotten. Apparently there is a fear that if the thread takes up the offer it has concerns it will miss the point on several occasions and although ultimately getting a point over to readers, it may lose credibility and become unread most weeks, sat on the shelf.

To be honest I agree the club should just make a decision. I know a lot of people don't rate pre-season friendlies but I would rather have our striking options sorted prior. I would love Matty to stay but he has had enough time to sort it out. My main concern was that Bodin signed a new contract, at his age and with his potential I think he is equally if not more important to the team, we also have some quite capable strikers on board and there are lots of options out there. I think were ever Matty goes he may have to make the best of what ever wonder deal he gets anyway as I think unless he has the patience and understanding of both Manager and fans (as he has at Rovers) he could fail - one season on a good whack may be all he gets.
A Championship club or Scottish Premier will have a more demanding and expectant view of him, he may be a twenty goal a season striker but he is also a 60 good chance a season striker who frustrates with squandered chances, new fans at a new club may be not as patient with him and may get very vocal and fustrated quickly.
Hope you are staying Matty but its time to either sign up or pack up. Do it now and you stay/go a Rovers hero either way.

I have heard differently, I'm hoping you're correct. What hav you heard? Would you like to share your information? I think Billy Bob would do a good job for us in league 1. It would be a shame if we lose him. Agree here. I think Bodin can do a great job for us again. If Taylor leaves he may even fill that slot. What have you heard?

Congratulations, not only the return of a proper and deserving football club to the league where it belongs but you have also saved the rest of L2 from cardboard burgers and away day soakings in Tinpot land, watched, cheered and celebrated. Well done!

Parkes had a long shot yesterday, in fact it may not have landed yet! I wondered what that was landing in my garden last night! In respect he misunderstood Clarke's instructions that he 'needs to keep it down'. He thought he meant to check the ratings before ordering on 'Just Eat' - something he looks like he has been doing a lot again lately. Looks to be up to the same weight he was during the relegation season.

Did you notice how good the longish range efforts were from Newport yesterday? Apart from Bodin nobody has the ability or guts to have a crack from outside the box. How many times did we stutter and lump the ball sideways yesterday when in a good attacking position? Unless we can score by the tap in or close range nod we are unarmed. I expect Bodin will get dropped for his non-team like escapades........

Cannot for the life of me see how Taylor should have more than2.he is lazy and contributes little to the side.as for likeliest to score he had 5 good chances today and didn't hit the target with any.his chance to conversion ratio MST be the worst I have seen from any striker in the quaters since dick plumb Some people love the useless waste of space. Simple as that. He is definitely a marmite player. Do agree with Twentyman, who said on the radio after the game, that it seems Taylor has to miss four good chances to be able to score one. Newport had a controlling midfield player yesterday and forwards who could clinically finish, with the exception of Bodin, both non-evident in the Rovers line up.

What was the serious injury he previously sustained prior to joining us? Was it an ACL?

Sad to say we are a 10 man team when Easter plays. Lucas and Bodin were both sharp and tricky against Plymouth, naturally not considered though, nonsensical.

Gosling this season will be a better player IMO, watched him against the Royals and i thought when he played in central Midfield as Lines replacement he looked good But time will tell for him Did you see him against Cheltenham, atrocious, no desire to take on his opponent and simply nudged off the ball. Worse than that he pulled out 50/50's constantly. He is a nice guy, just not a great footballer. Conference is probably his limit and, I hope I have to eat my words, but probably will not deliver anything in L2.

Have it and the green and black one they have now stopped making. They are all made to order, sewn individual quarters and are really nice quality. Better than the current Errea carp that is of the same quality as those rubbish Spanish holiday copy shirts.

Apparently Yodel tried to deliver yesterday but could not get an answer. Should have waited longer, do they know how many stairs there are to the top of that Ivory Tower and Higgs and Boycey are not getting any younger or slimmer.

It appears Adam Dawson played for Kiddy yesterday against West Brom. Did well unsurprisingly.

No, I'm fine. But The Beard got kicked on the ankle/shin in training. A kick on the ankle. I have seen him get kicked week in and week out, seems the sort who not even moan about it. P Probably subject to a ongoing transfer discussion

Let's not start with the "must win" stuff yet. If we get the same or a better result than Barnet then it's a good day. i am less confident without "the beard" though. By the way, what are we going to call him when he shaves? God
