im very surprised there hasn't been a lot more spent on the team, people say no point is being in championship until we get new ground? What a load of rubbish look at Bournemouth I'm sure their fans were gutted when they went into the prem with a similar ground This side has just got two back to back promotions and has some very talented younger players in there. Brown,Lockyer,James Clark, broom, lucas,Leads,Sinclair,Ellis,Billy even Taylor and now young James. We also have some quality experience in Line and Easter and have added another two quality cogs in Moore and Hartley.I think we have the core of a squad to push again for another promoton here this season and that's before any other are added. Really? Would be delighted to be proven wrong but I feel we have a long hard season ahead.

James Clarke?!?!?! I love that the OS doesn't even announced the name of A Trialist !That will be deliberate and pretty standard for many clubs at this time of year.

On the basis that he has yet to sign for another club (that we are aware of) I would fully expect him to be there today but I dont think that necessarily means he will be staying. Slightly different scenario but Michael Smith started pre-season with us before the Conference season but moved to Peterborough days after.

Yes this has definitely gone on long enough i think, worst case scenario and he goes elsewhere who is the best candidate to replace him? Aguero.

My biggest frustration was the complete lack of a plan B, they just passed the ball from side to side without any sort of cutting edge. It was crying out for someone like Andy Carroll after 70 mins or so to give an option of delivering balls into the box (if they could actually beat the first man) and then looking for second balls.

I didnt think he was great whilst he was Cheltenham keeper, assuming it is a number 1 we are looking for (and not as a backup to Mildy) we should be aiming higher.

I also want to add, Chris is now in my opinion proving his doubters wrong. His all round game has improved massively this year. Totally agree. Cannot understand some of the criticism he gets, nobody at this level is a world beater but he has far more good games than not.

People are going to be in for a nasty shock when they realise we would actually have to play a 2 legged semi final (which wouldnt be easy) before we get to Wembley. Seems to be a general assumption that because we have got through the last twice we have been in the playoffs that we automatically would do the same this time.

I am actually surprisingly calm about the whole thing compared to last year and particularly the relegation season. The key now is that we have everything to gain whereby the last two seasons it was the opposite. That being said, cant wait for Saturday!

I thought he had a better first half than second, he seemed to go wandering on a few occasions when we didn't have the ball creating lots of space on their left hand side. Worked hard throughout and a great goal but not MOTM in my opinion.

I assume they could be liable for some sort of disciplinary action? Pretty sure one of their players was injured in the warm up which explains the error, but if we had go on to lose the game it would have been interesting to see if there was any fallout.

He made a couple of smart saves and I can't really see how he was at fault for the goals based on the pathetic defending in front of him. He didnt cover himself in glory for the second goal, coming flying out after his defender was star gazing and completely missing the ball. Cant imagine the Hartlepool manager being happy with him messing around with the fans considering the poor performance the team had put in.

Even before the takeover we should be looking at players that could get us out of this division and I don't think LDV ticks that box.

The club clearly needs to get on a better commercial footing going forward and I wonder whether the club should have a suggestion box for ideas from the fans.
There have been a few good ideas like the NUS tickets and £1 for kids to attract new fans already mentioned but there must be many more and passing them onto Hamer might produce a gem or two.
I'd really like to see print at home tickets so that fans living away from Bristol can buy tickets more easily, it work well at Somerset CCC and bar-scanner are not that expensive. With a few thousand fans thinking about how to improve the club surely there must be at least a couple of ideas that would really improve things. I don't disagree but this will be one for the new stadium as and when it happens, making non essential investments in the Mem would be like throwing money away at the present time.
