I think GC needs to decide how he wants to play and stick to it. If he wants to play a diamond midfield then Sercombe has a part to play as the top of the diamond (although personally I’d play Nichols there) whereas if he wants to play a traditional 4-4-2 then he needs to be brave and admit Sercombe has no role to play and pair Kelly and THD together.

I’m a Nichols fan personally and think we play better with him than we do without. He has a host of assists this season and probably made two or three key passes today. I do think he’d be better playing at the top of a diamond, a position in which Sercombe has largely contributed absolutely nothing, but even up front hes better than the awful Jakubiak and the slightly better (although maybe more as a sub) Reilly. Funnier than Harleygas post The jak did more in his first three minutes than Nicholls did the whole game If you count blindly running into defenders with absolutely no skill, poise or ability then yes, Jakubiak was man of the match and potentially player of the season. Nichols has actually scored more goals in 2019 than, fan-favourite, Jakubiak.

He’s found a formula to get points with the resources available. So it’s not really the time to change style or tactics. And yet he did! 🤷♂️

Half the people on their terrace wont see the game either
I've seen a few comments like this, annoyingly after buying my ticket!
Is it that bad? Aren't the away fans on the side of the pitch? Why is it so bad?

How many of those would you genuinely want as first choice in a relegation battle?
As of recent times? Clarke, Sercombe, Sincs
Have you seen Sercombe this season?
We're into February and i'm not convinced he's had a good game yet.

Manager Graham Coughlan said, "Jonson is a player that I have worked with before and someone who I believe is a top player at this level. Ha.
Not as good as 'Player X' from the Estonian Third Division is he?

Have you not seen the league table?
Yes. What's your plan?
If I was manager it would be to improve the team in as many areas as possible.

Lines past his best, time probably up for Sinclair if we want to move forward and Sercombe living purely off of last season at the moment.
I felt we struggled to control the midfield on Tuesday and I've personally wanted us to sign a good quality defensive midfielder for years - hopefully Ogogo is that player.
Anybody else you don't like?
Have you not seen the league table?

I'm surprised Sercombe hasn't got more votes. One of our few bright sparks this season.
Surprised at this.
I feel like he has been a big disappointment living off of last season.
James Clarke player of the season so far for me.

If you told me at the start of the season that Clarke would be gone by Christmas and lpgas would post something positive i'm not sure which i'd have been more surprised at.

The two strikers that finished tonight's game are better than the two strikers that started Really....?? Think it’s spelt Reilly.

Anyone who thinks that dropping Nichols is the answer probably doesn’t understand the question.

When are some of the so called Rovers fans going to stop making Ton Nichols some sort of scapegoat. Do you not consider that he most probably reads these columns. How would you feel if you are constantly picked out as a target for criticism and veiled abuse. This does nothing for his confidence and I sometimes wonder if some so called Gasheads should cross the river and join forces with some of the nasty little people from over there. They seem to relish criticism if last Saturday on Radio Bristol is anything to go by. The people that scapegoat Nichols are the same handful of people that moan about everything.
I just skip over posts from the usual suspects and it makes the forum far more enjoyable reading.

First match was a 5-2 win against Barnet at Twerton on Saturday 26th of March 1994 aged 7.
I went a handful of times per season until the first season in League Two where I got my first season ticket and have had one ever since.
