JC agreed that it would be a good idea to publish minutes of committee meetings on the SC website. Transparency, accountability, information...............
Also, re: membership..... Cost to remain the same next season. New, cheaper, rate for U21s Would consider Family Membership, and costs for youngsters travelling on SC coaches (currently pay full price)
SH re-iterated that Checkatrade Trophy had been a mess. Would like to see regional qualifying, lower league teams only.

No indication as to why. If I understood what was said about half has been recovered and the rest is 'on its way'/covered (I didn't really understand that bit!)

It was a bigger turnout tonight, guess that was to be expected. Felt a bit sorry for Jim Chappell, who at one point was near to tears. Did they explain how the funds were allowed to be taken with what appears to be ease? ignore, answered above. Small amounts over a period of time......not enough scrutiny to spot that it was happening.

Obvious that the SC committee had been 'somewhat lax' in their overview and scrutiny of finances; but seem to have acted promptly and correctly once the hole in the accounts was spotted: and now have every procedure and check in place to ensure that nothing like that happens again.

I was hoping that there would be some info from a Q&A of the board members there. The fraud isn't that interesting, unless you're a SC member I suppose. The 'Easter' question was asked to SH. He said if he plays he is likely to trigger a clause that gives him another years contract, plus his agent is the same one as Matty Taylor had and i think SH said ' you don't invite someone in your home who has stole off you before' or along those lines. SH also said he was about to have a knee operation and, perhaps ill-advisedly, said that given his age 'he's finished'.

I haven't read everything on this tread, but we have a very serious situation with the supporters club whereby there is now a police investigation into the clubs finances where there is approx £150,000 not where it should be. There are posts on Facebook. I would hope that you all saw the statement issued last Friday from the supporters club. Until the police have concluded their investigation, there will be no further updates from the supporters club. It would still be in order to ask the SC how they conduct their meetings and business. Is an agenda circulated prior to meetings, are minutes kept, is there an update from the Treasurer and are questions asked, are payments countersigned and payments above a certain amount subject to authorization? All reasonable questions methinks!

Had the briefest of chats with his dad and a couple of his mates before the match. They were on the Uplands Terrace then went into the stand. Every reason to be proud.

I echo everything that Jon said. Many of us, myself included, are quick to criticize; but when push comes to shove few have the balls to stand up publicly. Rod did. R.I.P.

'Probable' rather than 'possible'!
I don't get this 'If you're not prepared to volunteer and do the job yourself then pipe down' attitude.
You don't just elect people then sit back without scrutiny of what they are doing.
We're talking £150,000 and police involvement.
I don't see how the accounts can possibly be approved whilst this dark cloud hovers above them.
There would be a case for a vote of 'No Confidence' if the systems of accountability have not been in place.
And I am a member of the SC, and have been for many years.

Countersignatories? In the notice for the AGM details are given of meetings held (7) during the year and of attendance. Surely the Treasurer presents a report at each meeting? Minutes, I hope, are kept giving details of what is agreed and voted through. Unless there is a simple explanation for this scenario it is a serious situation. It's the fans' money we're talking about!

Looking at the site I see KM and BSS have not contributed their musings since November and September last year.

Has Matty T got a release clause whereby if the run isn't completed he doesn't have to pay the full amount?

Is it possible that what came to light today about Tammy Abraham's car incident made City desperate to sign Taylor at whatever cost (not necessarily financial) to get cover in for Abraham?
