Such a wide gap between "not winning in 7", and the bottom option. Why oh why do many think in extremes these days? Does my head in. Balance and nuance seems to be lost.

Well that was truly awful.
(That should get me a "like" from KP) 😉

What does it matter if we turned a site down if we’re invested in another site? I know it seems like doomsday because there’s no news but no news does not mean nothing is happening now, even if that may have been the case before. How long are you prepared to hold the opinion that nothing happening and no communication of anything happening means something is happening? It is an utterly bizarre position to hold. To be fair, having the opinion that "no news does not necessarily mean nothing is happening", is different from thinking that "no news means something is happening".

Can’t spot Collins in any of the pics?? Collins is right at the back with his head practically on the ceiling in the group photo on the twitter link. This is so great to see all the lads doing this for a great cause. Makes me proud to be a Gashead (not that I wasn't already!)

Really need to hold out here, we've dropped far too many points from winning positions so far this season.

I think if the club had said it was dead in the water when it was two years ago it would have quite a demoralising effect. When I knew it was not happening it certainly effected my views. Better to let it drift on as a possible rather than bring the issue to a head when the owner didn't feel he was in a financial position to make the next move Have you any actual evidence for this ? Evidence schmevidence!

Just wish he'd learn how to do it before we start the game! Plan A wasn't working, so he changed it around - good management. Can't always get it right first time. Exactly! DC often did the same to great effect. It's great to have a manager that can see where it's going wrong and make effective changes mid-game.

Thanks for posting this Jock, this is superb. I won't lie, the video brought a tear to my eye. Very well done to the club and BRCT, they continue to be a huge credit to the Gas.

Thoroughly enjoyed that. He's a dream for interviewers, they ask a question and away he goes for several minutes before they ask another!
A very inspirational character that has improved himself as a person through sheer hard work. Long may he continue to succeed at the Gas.

The reaction if Kane, having been Englands regular and reliable penalty taker for many years, suddenly stepped down mid match would have been 100% negative. It would also have placed someone else stepping up mid game under immense pressure, anyone taking the ball off the regular penalty taker knows he’d simply have to score. I can’t be bothered to look it up but I’m sure Kane has scored two penalties in a game before for club and country so no reason why anyone (without the benefit of hindsight) would reasonably have expected a change last night. Those are your opinions regards reactions etc and I think Kane has scored two penalties three times before in internationals. As regards hindsight I had the same thoughts when the penalty was awarded and I have given reasons. Kane is Englands regular penalty taker, but I wouldn’t think it unreasonable if he chose not to take one for any reason and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to consider other scenarios. I was worried about Kane taking the 2nd one, as I felt more mind games would be at play considering he'd already taken one. Having said that, I completely see the point others are making that choosing a different penalty taker could easily have ended badly also. No easy decision really and I'm just gutted we didn't at least take it to extra time as we merited at least that.

Jude Bellingham. What a man. Undoubted future England captain. I admit I was skeptical about bringing him into the fold after the Euros, but he's been absolutely sensational. You'd never know he's still a teenager.

Uruguay v Ghana, in 2010 the climax was about as dramatic as any World Cup moment I can remember. This one was superb entertainment as well. I am sad for Ghana not exorcise their demons today, but they'll have it enjoyed seeing Suarez weeping on the sidelines more than even I did 😄

Flippin eck, he certainly has done his homework! Proper statto. If he's half as good tactically and motivationally as he is in his preparation, he could go much higher in the pyramid. I definitely think they'll give us a good game, but we should have enough to see out a win.

Anyway… You’ll never see a side deserve a win more and not take anything from the game. Canada were superb! Belgium will be chuffed but they were as shoddy as the Dutch. I fancy Canada to take 4/6 points and go through, high intensity, energy, quality on the ball, missed pen aside nothing fell for them all night after some quality build up play. Agreed, Canada were by far the better team. I was gutted they didn't take anything from it. I hope they manage to get through the group.

Ie always thought that we could knock the east stsnd down and build a massive stand there right along that side which could probably hold about 8000 which would increase our capacity to around 15,000. Definitely. You’d have to commit to redeveloping the whole ground though as it’s too important for a temporary stand to work - it would need replacing with something built to last. We’re in that awkward situation really where it doesn’t make sense to spend significant amounts on the Mem whilst it’s future is in the balance. Assuming we’d have to spend double digit millions to get anything worthwhile for what might be just 5 years at the Mem. Agree it is an awkward situation, and I understand why the Mem shouldn't be given a major facelift and stands pulled down and replaced. However, the Mem has been in the balance for the last 15 years or more. When do we draw the line, as it could easily be another 5, 10, 15 years before we move on.

Hamburg - St Pauli Bristol - St Pauls Wonder whether the club would ever make a collaboration with St Pauli. Their fanbase must be pretty large and far reaching these days because of the brand/ethos of the club. View AttachmentI’d still vote for this over absolutely anything I’ve seen so far. The club need this design in the final shortlist! Absolutely. I still prefer our current crest, but this design is also a cracker, and actually looks like a professional job, unlike the designs in the consultation.
