It was touch and go between Gillingham, Dagenham, Brighton and Southend but I think Southend has it at 10,470 miles.

Great goals but he has a little to do on his post match interview technique! Didn't exactly help the interviewer out much. Seems pretty keen to stay though. Looks like he's made a real difference working with Taylor and Easter.
Hopefully he's just a square peg in a round hole at Cambridge and we can get him in. Be surprising if they let him go to a rival though to be honest.

Pretty sure DC flagged after the last game that a lot of the less utilised players were going to get their chance in the next few weeks so no real surprise that he fiddled with the team selection. Why he does that of course is another question. But until we're in the bottom half of the table I'm not questioning his tactics!

Good to see this has made it to the BBC Sport website front page now. Nothing like a bit of negative press for the 82ers to finish off a nice Christmas...

Utterly disgusting. What a total embarrassment of a football club they are.
Love the way Jon Lansdown says it's "not in our name". Yes it bloody is, it's spelt out in two foot tall red letters on the memorial gates you .
Agree with Mehew regarding switching of the debate. Cleaning it up is the minimum that can be done and certainly no accolade. Finding the cretins that did it and charging them would be a real step in the right direction. Sorry city fans but you have to carry the can for these idiots, just like we would if the shoe was on the other foot.
A bit of graffiti I can understand, but desecrating a listed war memorial - words fail me.

Fear not. The consortium will crush the ACV, eat Radish and her greens, spit her out and then proceed to the afore-planned world domination. Any day now.

Not sure I understand that. What would be the benefit to Sainsburys of going through the whole process knowing they were pulling out of the deal at a later stage? To prevent their competitors from purchasing the site? Not 100% sure, but I believe that they have a similar history with other sites. Well hopefully they end up with the site anyway and if they don't want a supermarket then they can turn it into a large distribution centre - albeit with a nice set of gates and a memorial garden. That would stick it right up Ms Radish.

Don't forget that the Green mafia caused the delay that allowed the market to change and Sainsbury's to pull the plug. If Radice and the other assholes hadn't put a block in, UWE would be well underway and there would be a supermarket in BS7. IF Sainsburys ever intended to go through with the deal. Not sure I understand that. What would be the benefit to Sainsburys of going through the whole process knowing they were pulling out of the deal at a later stage?

If Nick has genuinely gone into this appeal with no plan b and we end up losing everything (and I mean everything) then he's going to be utterly, utterly crucified. I just don't believe he would be stupid enough to bank the existence of the club on this appeal without some sort of idea of what might be required (and how to action it) in order to keep the club afloat if we lose.
But then I assumed we had a plan b before relegation to the conference as well. And in the absence of any information to the contrary then it's hard to be too optimistic.

I find this whole thing extraordinary. It really wasn't that long ago, like a month or so, that we were lamenting that we had no strikers that could score. And now all of a sudden Matty is the next messiah! Good on him because he scored 20 last season in the conference and he's on a great run right now but seriously, as someone living overseas and living by this forum it's pretty amazing to see the mood on this change so quickly. I really like Matty Taylor and he's done great things for the club but it just feels like this is getting a bit out of hand. When he misses a sitter next week he'll be the devil incarnate again I'm sure...

Be interesting to know what the minutes per goal ratio was for all of our strikers this year. Just for some factual input to the debate...

The former is a realistic target, the latter isn't. Smartarse. I'd give up on making targets that are in the past if I were you. Anyway I was merely stating the bloody obvious. Obviously. No, you were trying to be a smartarse. Obviously.

If we'd won both of our last two games we'd have been knocking on the door of the automatic promotion places. As it is we sink back into mid-table mediocrity. Both seemed like winnable games as well. Better lower my expectations I guess! If we'd won all games this season we'd be top. The former is a realistic target, the latter isn't. Smartarse.
