Taking the positives, we are a point closer to the top! Our game in hand is coming up and we play Barnet at the end of the month!!! You never know!
The more teams breathing down Barnets neck can only keep the pressure on them!!!

Taylor and Gosling have done exactly what my ECFC & FGR mates said they would do! They weren't good enough at their clubs and haven't bee good enough for us!
Sinclair, Trotman and Mansell ok to date.
Not sure about Monkhouse - bit laid back perhaps? Taking it easy?
White - has to be given a chance!!! or released ASAP!!!

We will be adopting the Scouse attitude to big cup matches this season and playing a weakened team on Saturday! We have a big game against Alfeton on Tuesday!!!

If we lose two or three on the trot, DC will feel the full frustration of the fans.
It was nothing short of embarrassing on Saturday to be clinging on for three points against AFC Telford! How long ago was Andy Williams winner at Southampton?
I don't blame DC. Higgs & Co should never be forgiven for allowing us to freefall in to the Conference!!

Dave Martin came in for some ferocious stick when warming up during the game! And no doubt that he heard it! If that's what makes you tick, then anger management/therapy is required!!! or a few less beers (or both!!!). I think DC is doing a decent job, however, lose 2 or 3 games on the trot and the crowd will be calling for his head! Get in the play-offs and we'll win them - has to be an advantage with 10,000 fans in the ground for a home leg, and a big following in the final!!! Odd as I thought the only player warming up during the match who got some, light hearted, stick stick was "the wally in the hat" from Telford, anyway how could players get stick when they warmed up in front of empty terracing, unless it was the loud mouthed idiot DC "confronted"? DC's doing OK but I think most managers would with a budget double most clubs, it's probably quadruple part time Telford's. Not really sure having a big crowd is such and advantage as it didn't help us beat Mansfield last season!! The players were warming up at our end - roughly in line with the 18 yard box. Rovers fans on the right hand side (as you looked at the pitch) of the terrace behind the goal would have seen and heard it!

I'm expecting promotion at the first attempt.
DC's line about these players trying to get us back up is a great shout. We mustn't forget that the majority of these blokes had no say in keeping us in L2. They haven't let us down too much! More talented players last season, but their efforts were a disgrace.
Yesterday, was a scruffy affair with not too much skill on show! But three more points!!! We'll take 20 more scruffy 1-0's!!!

Hugo - you are spot on! TV has already ruined football at our level. Look at the league tables and the job of Sky TV is almost complete! The Premier League and Championship are full of "big" clubs. If they could squeeze City, Sheff Utd & PNE in to the Championship, they could shut the door on the rest of football!
There will come a day when lower league football fans stop paying £60 per month to Sky/ Virgin/ BT and instead move those funds to their own football clubs!!! If not, will the last one out turn off the lights!
Don't mind a Friday night match, but when it affects someone who can't go with their lad, then it is wrong! That's what going to football should be all about. Sadly not anymore!

Marcus & Steve Yates appear to be the most active of our bench (including the manager) on matchdays!

Looking a at those five misses, I'd be on to Ladbrokes for irregular betting patterns!!!! Perhaps that's how we top up the gate receipts!!! (Only joking!!!).

'Ark at the season ticket holders 'avin' a moan!!! Your money has already been squandered by the board in July paying off O'Toole, Gill & Richards!!! It's the pay-on-the day fan that props the club up and sees their £18 invested at Xmas on the push for promotion!!!

Lockyer should come back in two weeks and replace Parkes at centre back. Then we'll see the best of him.
Amazed that fans are not as positive as they could be! Gerry Francis won Div 2 by remaining unbeaten at home and scrapping for points away! We are in a perfect place to launch an assault to the top!!!
