Comparing a bad performance to the holocaust should be sackable in its own right I think he just got the wrong word. I don't think he intended anything like that. Even Barton isn't that much of a dick.

Harrogate (A) Northampton (H) Tranmere (H) Salford (A) Forest Green (A) Port Vale (H) Playing 5 of the top 8, including 1st, 2nd and 3rd, as well as an away cup tie to Oxford and big spending Salford away from home. About as tough as it gets really, can’t help but feeling today and Colchester mid week were a missed opportunity to build up some steam going into it too. Really are we that bad; imo we should be able to take points off all these sides. Got my Harrogate tickets and bought tickets for Salford, the players are good enough, just need to cut out the stupid errors. Bret 3 in 3, just give him the ball. Our record against the current top half so far: 1- 2- 3- 4-L 5- 6-L 7-L 8- 9-L 10- 11-D 12-L

Because we were a L1 side at the time and JC's level is L2? That’s a matter of opinion Always really liked JC. Steady, unspectacular but reliable as f**k.

Worryingly, we've only got these hard games coming up coz we've already played most of the easier games.

Just listened to his nonsense on the radio, making out that the players are trying to shake off the performances of the past - wtf is on about, many of these players are his signings and came in during the summer. He should have gone a long time ago. "It's a fragile group low on confidence because of what's gone before," genuinely sounds like he's still blaming the previous managers.

1 defeat in 4 games...must be time for a sack the manager thread... 1 defeat in 4 games has meant 5 points from 5 games, that's our best ever unbeaten run under JB and it's still relegation form.

Here's the current position of teams we've played and the results. Clearly haven't done much against top half teams, and played more lower teams than top ones.
1- 2- 3- 4-L 5- 6-L 7-L 8- 9-L 10- 11-D 12-L 13-D 14-W 15- 16-W 17- 18--- 19-D 20-L 21-W 22-W 23-L 24-

Almost like a win against Carlisle who sacked their manager the next day,a fluke point at Bradford who should have been 3 up at half time and a draw with a sh** Colchester were papering over the cracks No, it was a massive unbeaten run. LWDDL. 5 points from 5 games. Best spell of JB's tenure.

I thought the 2nd,4th,5th and 8th were lucky, and the 3rd,7th and 9th were offside. After we went 8-0 down we just seemed to lose our shape.

All I'm doing is asking you to explain a simple sentence you wrote. I find it quite extraordinary how defensive and out of shape you've got over it, especially as you know what you're talking about, right? I’m not answering questions. Interpret how you wish but I’m not sitting here justifying myself to an overgrown sixth former who is being intellectual dishonest to score points against someone whom he perceives as a political opponent. And yet you've just tried to justify yourself by making up things about me in that very post. It's like you have no idea of what you're actually typing. It's pretty clear you were being intellectually dishonest (in your original post which you don't seem to have a hope of explaining) in order to score points. It's weird how you keep turning stuff about you onto me (like all that stuff about me getting emotional and raging when it's pretty clear you're all raging and emotional). I believe it's called projection. btw, I can't interpret it, coz it's gibberish. That's why I'm asking you what you meant by it. How is that so difficult?

I'm asking you what you meant by "Now, you can make all the claims that experts are all agreed etc etc, but that means either the experts who made that prediction in 2007 were mistaken, or deliberately misleading." I don't understand what's so difficult for you. Obviously you can take bits out of the sentence that make sense out of context. I'm asking what you meant by the whole thing, coz the whole thing is gibberish as it stands. Why, for example, do you think claiming that experts are all agreed implies what follows? What, for another example, makes you think anyone is claiming experts are all agreed on this specific point, in any case? Not sure why you think I'm raging, I'm merely disagreeing with you. If you can't stand being disagreed with then best not post bullshitty stuff to a forum. I think actually it sounds a bit like you're the one getting emotional, maybe you should take your own advice. Bubbles. If you ask stupid questions, you get stupid answer. This is an irrelevant sideshow and I’m not interested. All I'm doing is asking you to explain a simple sentence you wrote. I find it quite extraordinary how defensive and out of shape you've got over it, especially as you know what you're talking about, right?

This is more gibberish. The only challenge you offer is working out what you're even talking about. How does "Now, you can make all the claims that experts are all agreed etc etc, but that means either the experts who made that prediction in 2007 were mistaken, or deliberately misleading." make any sense. Here's a metaphor for you: Poster A predicts we'll lose 4-0 Poster B predicts we'll lose 3-1 Poster C predicts we'll lose 1-0 We lose 2-0 Gulf of Aden claims three points. If you make a claim which is untrue, you are either mistaken, or deliberately misleading. Whichever way you boil it down, it’s one of the two. I’m not sure why this is so controversial and why you’re raging about it. This is a considered discussion between adults. I don’t think either of us are going to get much more out of this discussion. I’ve already said I accept the consensus opinion. I’ve merely pointed out predictions which didn’t come true. If you can’t handle that without getting emotional then end of discussion. Not really sure what you're talking about here. This is fundamentally misunderstanding what science is and the idea that experts all agree is nonsense. Using this as some sort of bullshitty response to undermine climate change science is desperate. I think you know exactly what I’m talking about, you don’t like it, as it presents a challenge, and you’re therefore getting hostile. Agree to disagree. Just to spell it out in case you genuinely don’t understand: Climate scientist predicts event. Media run article endorsing this to awaken public to risk. Prediction demonstrably false from observed evidence. Climate scientists predict more future events. Gulf of Aden says we should show some caution with these predictions. Antonio Fargas says this is some bullshitty way to undermine climate science. This is more gibberish. The only challenge you offer is working out what you're even talking about. How does "Now, you can make all the claims that experts are all agreed etc etc, but that means either the experts who made that prediction in 2007 were mistaken, or deliberately misleading." make any sense. The article claims that “Arctic summers will be ice free from 2013” Now, you can make all the claims that experts are all agreed etc etc, but that means either the experts who made that prediction in 2007 were mistaken, or deliberately misleading. Good luck to him. I’m still of the opinion that he should have been giving the caretaker managers role after GC left along with the other staff members helping him out. At least until the end of that season anyway. Imagine how different everything could have been.

It's a bit like a version of Godwin's law on here. Any thread about any topic eventually spirals to an assertion of Barton's thuggery. That has it's place, but I'm amazed that we are not discussing the bomb-shells about the lack of any useful scouting network and complete break-down of communication between a paid employee/ director of football and the manager. Is it just the case that Widdrington keeps his head down and waits for the next manager to come along? I think just going by something JB has said is not very sensible. Hopefully someone trustworthy might have something to say about it and we can get a better idea of what (if anything) the situation is. But I recall when he said he was going to get rid of the cancer, about half the forum seemed to agree with him and yet no one could seem to agree on what that cancer actually was. And we still have no idea. The bloke's full of sh**.

My cure would be to get a less divisive manager in and the remit would be to work with what we have whilst slowly adding to it for some consistency. Changing manager is fine but letting them smash the house down everytime is not. Aren't we becoming consistent? And a new Manager will do exactly that, tear it apart. Garner anyone? Swindon look a bit more consistent than us, atm.
