Sorry, I should have put that in my original post. Yes, he said that it was his family he was attacking. So, why did they not step in to explain that he has a condition that causes him to act like that? He was attacking his own family? Who said that?

Someone on Twitter said that the bloke has Aspergers, which causes him to act violently at random times. However, if that is the case, why did his family not try to explain that to the stewards, once they had him in their grasp? The only family I saw were the ones he was attacking. Sorry, I should have put that in my original post. Yes, he said that it was his family he was attacking. I know this all about Rovers but………… Wycombe on top ?? There is always one team that surprises people. I think there are three, maybe four, that are surprising people at the moment, Rovers, Wycombe, Blackpool and maybe Coventry. On the other side of the coin, there are some teams that are surprising in their lack of challenging: particularly Sunderland and Portsmouth, although the latter appear to be coming good now.

We are Strong away from Home. At the Mem it is in the balance! Peterborough Mixed form away Peterborough best attack in the league. In my view Rovers have the most in-form defence in the league. This makes Saturday's game even for me! 3rd vs 4th also say's even! It could also be quite entertaining on Saturday! Posh not on top form, but their strikers are class apart. In the past we seem to trip up in these games. I’d be happy with a scrappy 1-0, but I think there will be goals. Oh blimey hell! Shows what you know, innit and we have you in our quiz team? Lawd 'elp us. J/K, have a great Christmas mate.

Slow decline to mid-table now. Yet another chance to move on, progress, and capitalise on a bit of momentum lost. Coaching staff departures to a lower league are a telling sign. We're floating adrift under the current owners and the sooner they go the better. We're going nowhere with them. Surely that's obvious now? It seems obvious to me, anyway. The future is never obvious . We’re just as likely to finish top 2 as we are mid table . None of us know. Totally agree. Look at the 1999/2000 season. I was living in Detroit at the time and worked with a bloke who loved (proper) football. I got him interested in Rovers and pointed out how well they were doing. I said that not even Rovers could chuck away at least qualifying for the play-offs...............

The kiss of death thread....Actually, while I'm on the subject of kisses of death.... The other day our kettle stopped working, annoying as that might be I said to Clare, "if there was any household appliance that you could choose to breakdown just before Christmas which one would it be? Probably the kettle or the toaster", trying to take the positives from the situation.... Next day the washing mashine packed up.... I did think about that before I posted but then I thought, this team will walk through brick walls to get something out of a game, so superstition can go to hell I hope I do not tempt fate BTW

Could this be the first time that 4 people from one club are nominated as Manager(s) of the Month?

The angle of the camera brings the near post to the left of the far post, it is not straight. At the time, I thought we got lucky. I have tried to watch the replay by stopping the action as often as possible and have now changed my mind. From what I can see, Anssi parried the ball straight along the line. For me, the three things the save brought about are that Rovers are in the 3rd round: Anssi has wrists of steel: his value has increased by £1,000,000

Great to see our defenders celebrating doing their job so well. Love seeing them rejoice in great tackles, challenges and blocks, like the Italians of the 80's It was at times like watching a clown troupe try and defend like 1980s Italy: Mad cap, slap-stick, some great blocks but still gave lots of easy chances away and yet got the luck that Plymouth just couldn’t score. And given our attitude we probably deserved that luck. And it wasn’t a one-off either given how we’ve played this season. I can only conclude there is something irresistible about us this season.
If we are going to bring someone new in we should definitely be looking for someone who loves grinding out a game for 5 months. Not the right time for. Tisdale or a Jones Yet you believe GC was a bluffer?

soundcloud.com/ntt20pod/all-rhodes-lead-to-goals Another excellent NTT20 podcast - listen from 40:33. I think the lads perfectly sum it up. GC played a part in the team's development but he's replaceable and the overall team spirit from lads that hate to lose prove there is life beyond him. When you look at it like that doesn’t it make you think GC was a bit of a bluffer and without these players he is going to realise he Isn’t as good as he thinks he is? I said it as soon as the Mansfield stuff came up, it’s going to be hard for him to recreate his success and I’m more convinced of that after tonight seeing how the players have barely noticed he’s gone. No. I, for one, do not think or believe for one second that GC was a bluffer. His record proves that he achieved something that many, maybe most Rovers fans did not believe possible and has improved upon that this season. I believe he will recruit the necessary players for Mansfield, perhaps raiding us for one or two and his "do not lose lightly" style will ensure an improvement in Mansfield's form.

There really are some deluded people in our fan base if they think the likes of Tony Pulis or Neil Warnock would be the slightest bit interested in coming here under our current ownership. There is as much chance of that as Waqi Wael building a new stadium or training ground or redeveloping the Mem or even showing some f**king leadership and communicating with the fans. If the Al Qadis aren’t going to water off anytime soon expect the cheapest possible rookie appointment, a bit like with Coughlan - when they got lucky. To be fair to GC, he did prove himself with three wins, a draw and a defeat over Christmas last year. After witnessing some of the worst football by a rovers side for a good 15 years. There seems to be something akin to the old Anfield boot room building at Rovers. DC was already here and utilised the players he inherited along with a few canny, maybe fortuitous (Matty Taylor) signings. He leaves, so GC is appointed from within and makes many people eat their words. His style of play may not be the most attractive but it definitely served its purpose. Then tonight, the team played as if their lives depended on it. Something has been ingrained into them and I would not be at all surprised if Joe Dunne is given the reins, at least until the end of the season, to try to keep the momentum going.

Well done bloke. That is just reward for the hours of effort you put in, although I am sure you feel that the help that your charity is able to offer is the real reward.

They were at the Shrewsbury game as well. In the video for that ( ) they mention that they will be at the Mem in a few weeks and call us the biggest team in Bristol. I hope they attend more of our games if it means we score 4 each time

17th April 1976 at Eastville against Southampton. Rovers won 2-0 both goals scored by Frankie Prince. Good job we won and I was hooked by the Tote End roar from that day because my second game was a 5-1 home drubbing by Wolves! Yes I can remember that Wolves game - we got pummelled as the score suggests - think it was xmas/new year game - remember also that we had to park way up Muller Road towards The Mem - when that happened you knew it was a big crowd. My first game was Feb 1973 - Gas 2 Bournemouth 0. The Wolves fans were in fine festive spirits.......they cheered when we scored

Nigel Martin, Jim Eadie and Steve Phillips in that order for me but I think that Bernard Hall would have gone on to better things if he had not suffered his horrendous injury on New year's Eve 1966. It was a totally accidental collision with Middlesbrough's John O'Rourke that came about because of his bravery but sadly ended his career at a young age. Bern is my uncle and my late father said that at the time there were rumours of a possible England call up due to injurys. This was around 1966 when England won the world cup.You knew know what could have happened it it came about. This was back in the days of there only one sub on the bench, and money didnt talk and players were loyal to there home town clubs so top players played in L1/L2 of today. Bern would today be a top championship GK and would not doubt be on 30k/40k in todays money. Its pretty cool for me to have someone that played for the gas in my family.☺ Hence the name, Icegas, huh? The day is particularly memorable for me because it was the first time I ever attended a new year's party and was allowed to stay up for the bells (I was 13). I am not aware of the England rumours but am convinced that despite his relatively small stature, he would definitely have gone on to bigger things. He is a player I will never forget. I believe he went on to become a postman, which seemed to be a job that many ex footballers took on in Bristol?
