Unfortunately I can't see anyone buying us as the asking price set by the board would be unrealistic due to their incompetence over the past 8 years.

Oh, I think with the right people at the top we can owe a lot more than that ! Does it really matter how much you owe if your going into administration. It's still 12 points deducted. The great job our current BOD are doing will send us the same way if we lose the Sainsburys case. I really don't understand how anyone says that our current board are doing a good/successful job. Maybe somebody else can come in and generate a larger debt and maybe get us into the Conference South, only time will tell.

I think for what it's worth NH would not sell to anyone who does not prove they are buying BRFC for the good of BRFC and not a toy to play with. Why he gets so much stick is beyond me, everything these days is coated in conspiracy theory, if we all bothered as much about doing the right things ourselves instead of doubting everything done by others we would be far happier and healthier in our minds ! Because he constantly lies to the fans, has us millions in debt, took us out of the football league and is gambling the future of the club.

I'd sign him but only on our terms. I wouldn't pay a fee for him and it would have to be a reasonable league 2 salary. If he really wants to play for Rovers then he'll accept that, if not then we move on.

I'd go old school with Roman Glass. Great days at Twerton.

I'm a bit confused by the part of the AGM about losing money on BT games does anyone know if this was as a direct response to a question about making money from TV games? Grimsby was above average attendance whilst Gateheads was below but so were Friday night games last season.

I think some of you people who know better than everyone else should depart to the other site where your like minded colleagues who have nothing to add play around. In the mean time, in the real world, Rovers needed to fund the upcoming court case and therefore had to cast out a net to catch the best available rates that a low level football club could attract. So we are where we are. It is obvious now that we are going for the full settlement and not a halfway house. And we have to be able to meet the appropriate costings. Obviously this is a big gamble, but it's also obvious that whatever choice is made as to how to proceed the usual pathetic attempts to slag off everyone concerned would arise. I genuinely believe that 99.9% of posters on this forum want the best for Rovers, people criticise the board because of a fear that the club may go out of business or shrink in its importance due to being a non league club long term. We see other clubs being run better than ours and wonder why and question why the same think can’t happen here.

Yes Hugo, but would you tell a vet how to treat a very sick animal ? I wondered how long that would take. You can't afford to buy the club so you can't have an opinion and must bow down to the great leader.

The evidence is in how appallingly the club has been run in the past 10 years. ...or the fact Sainsbury's have shafted us? Our whole future seems now to rely upon the outcome of May's court case. The debt for the UWE project is around 1 million the remaining millions is soley down to poor financial management.

Blimey. Everyone saying the BoD know what they're doing over this. Turns out they really were just desperately casting about for an emergency loan. What a bunch of Wongas. ... and you have evidence of this ? Just because they have gone with this company does not indicate to me that they did not try other financial streams The evidence is in how appallingly the club has been run in the past 10 years.

Green leader also wants to convert the British Army into a home defence force, dismantle immigration controls and allow illegals to stay here. As we have found out the Greens are the enemy within - very dangerous people. Are you serious - enemy within ?? And you are intending to vote for the racist UKIP party ? For someone like me who has always had socialist views - The Green Party make a lot of sense rather than NEW Labour (Tory clones). And don't bother going on about TRASH ! The problem with socialism in general is sooner or later you run out of somebody elses money.

I'm not a fan of Mr Higgs or the board and some of the quotes about him being happy with his time in charge are laughable. However, I think this is a good move, if he does want out then why not try and get the best buyer possible. How great it would be to do a Swansea or Hull and really rub the noses of the other half of Bristol in it.

I know most won't like the City connection but I'd love to have Colin Sexton at the club. The job he did for Gloucestershire late 90's early 00's was fantastic. It's such a pity Tom Ricardson has ruined it over the past 10 years. So Colin, tell us, in what capacity will you be working for Rovers then?! I'm definitely not Colin Sexton just a Rovers and Gloucester cricket fan who appreciated what he did at the cricket club and would love any sort of success with Rovers. It's been pretty depressing being a supporter of either over the past 5 years.

We have a problem we are not in the football league, thats that sorted then now whats the next step? I'm afraid that's a symptom rather than the problem. When the reserve squad was scrapped back in 07/08(?) as a costs saving exercise I said it would cause us immeasurable difficulties in the years to come - I think my fear has been borne out and still seems to go under the radar as a root cause of our troubles. We have other problems but an investment in hoovering up and bringing on young players and having a competitive framework for our wider squad, not just the match day eleven, has to be one of the most grievous oversights a professional football club hoping to be taken seriously can make. I agree that this is one of the problems that has contributed to our demise but I think it's only one and due to compensation you now get from the big clubs for your own players I can see why the decision was made. Not that I agree. We always seem to come back to the problem being that we have a board who don't (won't)accept anyone else's help to run the club. A clear strategy for the club is needed just like any other business/football club. If the current board don't have the expertise or time to do this then a CEO (who would then be accountable) needs to be put in place. But this has been said before and nothing changes, so we get a split in the fanbase, and our lowest point in a 131 year history. The past 2 relegations gave perfect opportunites to do this but all we get is the farse about a review.
