Peters pies and pasties are the worst and should only be eaten when you are still passed from the night before and the only shop around is a lifestyle or similar nasty no brand establishment I went to look at a job in Peters foods and in waiting area a Bristol blue glass vase with our pirate emblem sat proudly in their display cabinet. So a bit of history between us in the past.

The new gates will look smart and dapper at the new stadium. Some people need to think outside the box.
Yes but why buy them now specifically, I know gates can be moved but why not just buy them as the stadium is going up?
It all doesn't seem in keeping with a club which will be announcing a new stadium anytime soon.
Maybe we need to secure the site before we move? The old gates were not good enough? 😀

Perhaps I've missed something here why didn't we invest in the Henbury/cribbs causeway site. Lots of rovers fans come from this unloved neglected part of the city(Henbury),i thought that would have been a great opportunity to build on that site and help a poor community on what looks a better site than that pig farm we are supposedly going. The new site is only a stones throw away from cribbs and i think and the cribbs site is a little complicated with trusts and things involved with the land.

No Fans allowed during 1st team training sessions! If we want to watch them train, we can always park on the hard shoulder of the M4-M5 junction. Just like the Eastville days!

No Fans allowed during 1st team training sessions! If we have to agree to that rule to get planning permission, so be it. I didn't see any restriction on the number of 'visitors' that could turn up at the training ground each day!!! 5.14 It is recognised that there may be some concern about undue number of fans visiting the training facility – but in reality this is unlikely. As noted above, there will be no public admission to first team training which will be the principal use for the facility. BRFC will also use the site for other training (including youth teams) however such activities are fully permitted by the extant consent

Thank christ we've got a game tonight. If I see one more thread about tickets for the Chelsea game I'm going to kill someone !I feel this is one of the early season games that can really set the season up. A good result will be a massive confidence boost to the whole squad, as many of them must be wondering if they can perform at this new level. It should be another large crowd. What's this about Chelsea?

This was reported in 2012 in the EP BRISTOL's population shot up by 10 per cent over the past decade, the latest census figures have revealed. The number of people living in the city jumped by almost 40,000, from 390,000 to 428,000 between 2001 and 2011. The rise in population in Bristol was well above the national average increase of seven per cent and one of the largest in the South West. In North Somerset, the population increased by 7.3 per cent from 188,800 to 202,600, while in South Gloucestershire it went up by 6.8 per cent, from 246,000 to 262,800. Bath and North East Somerset is now home to 176,000 people, a rise of four per cent Read more: www.bristolpost.co.uk/City-s-population-soared-past-10-years-census/story-16547246-detail/story.html#ixzz44gI1oy3x That's where increased attendances can come from !!

I am more interested in 'the evidence' from Bristol. The fact is that Rovers haven't played in front of 30,000 in Bristol for 40 years !, no one on here can seem to tell me where all these new people are coming from to fill a new stadium. All that I have seen on here today is that anyone who dares to ask inconvenient questions about crowd sizes or ask for attendance figures is called a sh1thead or is ignored.
Thats because we haven't had a 30,000 stadium for 40 years! Hardly fit 30k into a reduced capacity at Eastville, hardly fit 30k into Twerton, 30k into The Mem..? "no one on here can seem to tell me where all these new people are coming from to fill a new stadium" 40k+ we took to Cardiff, 35k+ we took to Wembley Speculate to Accumulate!!! Just the same as a pension pot!

We need a our own training facility and i think the Mem would suite the Bill!
Everything is their changing rooms, offices, canteen.

I think the UWE is based on the bowl type design as in dig down and use the soil to form the sides, and this reduces the costs as in less steel work and also keeps the height of the stadium down. So in a nut shell this would be a major redesign or we will be looking at just under half of the stadium being concrete and no seats. Just my though on it

Investors that only want to do half ajob.... Mmmm not sure about that As opposed to what we get now? How many times has this happened in Rovers history? nil. Its just disappointing we could end up getting half a job. If its true, they would just want to put as little as they can in and probably take the maximum out.
