I quoted the 78% statistic because I found it interesting that the crime figures show that most crimes (or at least arrests) are committed by white people which seemed at odds with the current narrative.
Sorry mate none of the stats are the ones I was enquiring about. The demographics of people charged with offences not just arrested.
I don’t agree with the phrase ‘more likely’ either fwiw. On the official gov website states you are ‘Nine and a half times as likely to be stopped and searched if you are black compared to white people’. Taking absolutely nothing else into consideration other than skin colour.
The thread title is ‘crime in london’ and quickly turned to knife crime and gangs. Hence my question.

I'm not sure if there are stats on the specific things you asked about.
There probably are but I just did a quick Google on ethnicity and crime rates to come up with what I found.
As I said, stats can be found to prove or disprove anything which was why I offered no judgement on what I found other than to say it doesn't appear to fit the narrative.
I guess that means either the stats or the narrative are wrong or both are true!!
Either way, I still maintain the stats given by the Government and the perception that it's all young black men are probably both flawed idiologies.
