I thought the Marquis goal v Sheff Weds looked offside at the time so it seems a bit odd JB lost the plot after that decision, when there have been far worse decisions this season and it was hardly a crucial match to lose. If JB was sent off in the 85th minute then how did he manage to verbally abuse the officials in the tunnel, had he been stood waiting for them in the tunnel for 10 or so minutes after he was sent off? Let's hope we don't now lose the appeal and the FA don't then decide to add an extra game to the suspension. Where did you get that from? He was booked in the 87th minute and cannot have been sent off until well after the game finished as he was still on the pitch while the iFollow camera was rolling. If this is to be believed he was sent off somewhere between leaving the pitch and the players tunnel: Attachment Deleted

I think the icing on the cake for the Officials was when they got back to their car and it was on bricks.

I thought it was offside at the time too - but I didn't exactly have the best view from behind the goal . The replay looks like he might well have been on - but this is where (if we had VAR) we could have had 5 minutes of various angles being scrutinise to see if he was offside by a toenail.. or if there was a foul in the build up.. not just for this incident, but for every goal scored and conceded. I'm not sure what I prefer! Anyway - as for the ban.. it does seem extremely harsh - which makes me wonder what actually happened behind the scenes.. and how many warnings he might have had for previous indiscretions this season that contributed to the severity of the penalty? Who knows. I guess we might get more information drip-fed to us in the appeal process (or maybe not!)

I was at the game and didn't even realise he'd been sent off? Apologies if this has already been answered but did he even leave the bench to go in the stand as I certainly didn't see it.

I didn't notice him being sent off either. I think he was booked during the game (possibly after the offside decision), but must have been sent off after the game when he confronted the officials? Or I missed it altogether

He approached the referee after the final whistle, when leaving the pitch, and the sending off happend either as they were crossing pitch or in the tunnel, I expect most were exiting the ground by then, with it being an evening game, so wouldn't have seen it.

Klopp now given a two match ban. Is this the new thing to start banning managers from grounds.

That is absolute BS from Bristol Live as I was there and saw him booked with my own eyes and checked it back on iFollow last night to confirm. Surely the FA have to get their facts right if that is what they are reporting?

Thanks Tilly. That is the only logical explanation. Apparently Bristol Live are saying he was sent off in the 85th minute which we know is incorrect.

Klopp now given a two match ban. Is this the new thing to start banning managers from grounds. Klopp's only got a touch line ban not a stadium ban, I assume just celebrating in front of the the 4th official was consider a lesser offence www.thesun.co.uk/sport/22405657/fa-klopp-ref-liverpool-ban/If the FA release the reasons why JB was banned it'll probably make interesting reading.

On the plus side we might actually get favourable decisions from the officials with Barton absent from the ground

Barton is alleged to have gone in the officials changing room, which i presume is the reason for the difference between touchline only and stadium

Recall a million years ago when we had the Sat night ,'Green -Uns and Pink-uns a City player or official was banned from the ground and there was a great pic of him watching a game from the balcony of High rise flats which at the time overlooked the ground.

Could have been Uncle Albert or Rodney, not sure if Del Boy was interested in football.

Barton is alleged to have gone in the officials changing room, which i presume is the reason for the difference between touchline only and stadium I don't know why many on here are defending him and comparing what he did with what others did, considering they have so idea at all what was said and done, unlike those who passed sentence. It's Joey, it's done, move on and don't sound like a Northampton manager.
