Definitely one of the best players I've ever seen to pull on the blue and white quarters. Absolutely Rolls Royce of a player, glided over the pitch and had a great shot on him too. He was instrumental in some of the best football I've seen a Rovers side play, particularly in the 82-83 season when we knocked up numerous 4 goal wins, as well as 5-1 at Orient and the same at home to the then league leaders Portsmouth. Was gutted when he left for Norwich, think he got them promoted in First season there. Would be worth millions if he was playing today.

What an absolute lemon of an interviewer. The owner says "we have big plans", the only question needed is "great, what are they?"

It's interesting that when redevelopments are discussed it's always English ones. Personally I'd be looking at redevelopments of old stadiums like the Erzgebirgsstadion and Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld... Those both look great, particularly the top one. Sadly don't think we have any chance of anything similar being built at the Mem, it'll be more makeshift Meccano stands.

Connolly is back! Good luck Beefy. Makes sense, if only as injury cover and so MT can take a proper look at him and see if he's up to League One. Still need an experienced head back there.

Rotherham looking to recall Peterborough caption Peter Kioso. MT signed him for Rotherham and had wanted to sign him for Exeter. Could Kioso be coming to Rovers? Would think it's more likely the new manager at Rotherham wants him back to help with their survival push but you never know. Be a big loss for Posh though, they must rate him as made him captain which must be pretty rare for a loan player.

I’ve got a man crush for Evans atm and I’m not even ashamed of it. You and me both. He's been superb, so good on the ball.

Well, that's interesting - JCH has started for Posh tonight vs. Barnsley (and just scored). Seems odd if he was definitely off next week...

Pretty sure I'd read that all the EFL club websites are provided by iFollow free as a platform for their digital content. This arrangement is ending as EFL coverage will switch to Sky next season so clubs will need to sign up with a new website provider.

Merry Christmas from wet and windy Northern Ireland (that could just be the sprouts and Guinness though).
Let's hope Santa stuffs 3 points in our stockings for Boxing Day.

Following further works over recent weeks, the club can confirm that the South Stand project is progressing well, and it is hoped that the remaining works will be finished early in the new year.
The drainage and tarmac surfacing work was completed yesterday, allowing the remaining fitting out of the concourse, toilets, and concessions to proceed.
As explained in the previous update we will need to obtain building control sign-off before we can commence any test events. We will provide a timeline for the test events as soon as we can confirm all the elements are in place.
As an interim measure, we are pleased to confirm that following a Safety Advisory Group meeting yesterday, permission has been granted to extend our temporary usage of the south stand for the Christmas period.
The small increase will allow all the South Stand season ticket holders to sit in the Southwest corner of the new stand. Season ticket holders for this area will receive an e-ticket in the same way as they have been for previous fixtures.
Again, we would like to thank all the season ticket holders for their patience while the work has been ongoing.
The club would like to again place on record its thanks to the club's Safety Advisory Group members and the club staff who have been working hard to progress the project.

I’m hoping we can get at least 50% of the stand open by using the match as a test event, depends on how much work is still required on the concourse I guess. As I understand you cannot charge entrance fee for a test event and if you let people into new stand v Portsmouth you will upset season ticket holders. I always assumed test events meant actual events with a restricted number of people. Are we really expected to get a few thousand people to fill the thing when there's not a match on? Good luck with that lol

Great interview with Matt after a great win. Although the most pleasing thing for me is that he is able to work with the players we have here. I always thought Joey had assembled a good squad whatever other thoughts I had, though I was worried that the players might not respond to a new coach. It looks like Matt has managed to get a performance out of this side, we are at the right end of the table and it’s good to be a gashead again. UTG I do wonder if it's also that a few players have now woken up to the fact that unless they improve they won't be here after January. Taylor doesn't look like he takes any sh1t, I'm sure he's more than hinted that he's not afraid to ship out anyone who isn't buying into what he's selling.

Watching it via the Bolton stream on IPTV. What a half, been dominant all over the pitch. Wilson, Taylor and Crama have dealt with everything thrown at them, Finley and Ward have won everything in the middle and the interplay and threat from the front line has been top class. Night and day from what we saw against Cheltenham, looks like 352 really suit this bunch of players.

Regardless of the quality of the defenders in front of them, goalkeepers can be assessed on their ability to stop shots that they were expected to. As the stats have shown and the eye could see, Belly was unfortunately one of the worst keepers in the division last season and that's even before we account for his reckless misjudged rushes from goal. He'll forever be a great part of our D2 promotion team but anyone who thinks he can cut it at this level needs their eyes tested.

So what are people's guesses on the stadium plans for step 2 & 3? Are we knocking the East down? Are we extending the East either side? What about Thatchers, are we building something on top (temporary) like the East stand? Or knocking it down and builing a stand? Reason for asking is a few know I'm a nerd with stadium designs, so i've started seeing whats possible. Starting with a copy of the South stand... From the owner's comments, it's assumed that we're going to leave the East Stand and install more seats either side, probably similar temporary/modular design to the South Stand. Can't remember if he said that was phase 2 or 3, with the other phase obviously being seating at the Thatchers end. For the new stands either side of the East Stand, I can only imagine they would have to be identical in height, size, angle etc. as to what's already there as to avoid any sight line issues. Seats could be installed on the terracing below too, though guess these would need to be uncovered as the roof of the stand above wouldn't cover. Really trying to get my head how this would look and whether this could be joined up with the South Stand. If you're able to model this would love to see it! Pretty clear though it would be much better to knock down the East Stand to avoid all this lol

Get the R.A.T.S (rovers away travel service)up and running again and get a train sorted🤣🤣 Would probably cost a small fortune these days ,but some great memories of travelling to away games at Ipswich, arsenal and Swansea back in the day 👍UTG I remember going by train on what I think was the first RATS away day, Fulham I think. Was also my first away game, the manager Bobby Campbell patted me on the head and said "well done, son" when my dad told him.
