It seems unlikely the list will now be released tonight, it's hard to believe that the club can't even released the retained list on time. Didn’t know there was an official deadline for it to be published to the public. As long as all the players know, they can tells us when they like.

too many games for the big clubs !! The premiership finishes on May 19th then Spurs and Newcastle fly all the way to Australia to play each other on the 22nd in a friendly, but that’s ok, makes more money then a cup replay on a cold Tuesday night in Stoke. Greedy bar stewards the lot of them.

Have to keep him until January, then we finish paying Barton and we can then pay Taylor to sit at home.

The club can’t win, last year they got accused of not telling fans in advance, now it’s a waste of money and too expensive, £250 per night all inclusive and match tickets is for two people, £125 each per night in Albufeira in July is not bad. These trips are more about team building then anything else.

11 games to go. 11 pts behind play offs. Unlikely. Our top players returning so reasons to be hopeful. 😆 It was 12 last week with 12 to go

Before you all slate him does anyone here actually know what George Friends job description is? 🤔 Lenny gets all the plaudits for being a wise old head. Just remember he used his extensive contacts to sign players like Dominic Blizzard, Carl Regan and Mark Wright. LL got us to two finals in the same season one leading to promotion then we had our best run for years in the FA Cup. The wheels fell off the wagon when he departed. Directors of football do not get involved in coaching, that’s the manager and his staff, he will look after the business side, contracts budgets, recruitment etc.

George Friend Linkedin; My career in elite professional football, encompassing over 500 1st team games and spanning two decades, has provided me with many rewarding experiences and highlights, including three promotion-winning campaigns and a large number of personal accolades. It has also given me the opportunity to play under and learn from a host of successful and high-profile managers who have all helped shape my own football philosophies.
As I move into my mid-30s and the closing chapter of my playing career, I am now seeking to embark on new and exciting challenges within the football industry. I have a keen interest in many different aspects of the game, particularly recruitment and the management of player loans, and I have added to my bank of qualifications by recently attaining my UEFA A Licence in coaching as well as a Certificate in Football Marketing & Management.
The knowledge and expertise I have accumulated during my career, not only within football but also as owner and director of two successful business ventures, has equipped me with a strong and transferrable skillset. A media degree has enhanced my communication skills, I have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities as a club captain and my business interests have enabled me to become proficient in administrative tasks and financial planning.
My passion for football still burns as brightly as it did when I was a 17-year-old making my debut for Exeter City in 2005. I am proud of my record of having played at every level of English football – from the Conference to the Premier League – and I believe my enthusiasm, energy and strong work ethic helps generate a positive response from others.

Have a look at his Linkedin profile. I would say he’s a far better prospect than TW ever was. I suspect that the deal is to put him on a nominal retainer salary with commission on successful signings. If this is the case then there is little to criticise. Had a look on Linkedin, very impressive, not your average footballer, could be a real asset to the club.

Does the club buy stock for the shop or is it all contracted out to “The Terrace”

Find it really odd they renewed the loan only to send him back a few weeks later, they still have to pay him, surely they would have kept him until the end of the season, just in case he was needed.

Problem is they know they will get away with a few hundred quid as the finance company would have great difficulty getting their money back and all they can do is highlight it in their credit rating. Did people who didn't pay have their ST cards cancelled? No reason for them not to be Expect they had a letter from the club telling not to do it again, same as all those lads a couple of seasons ago in the 17 - 20 age group who were buying under 16 match day tickets and getting in. It always a few who ruin it for the rest.

Jones is on loan to Bromley Ryan Jones again not in Bromley's squad. Is he still injured...seems to have got very little game time out of this loan. Only played 4 games this season

England play in Dublin on September 7th in the Nations league and some Irish nationalist want to use it too celebrate the death of the Queen, who’s anniversary will be September 8th. You could be hearing more of this silly song not less.

What do people expect, they moan about ticket cost and then moan the club doesn't spend all its money during a January transfer window. When was the last time Rovers a had a squad with 3 current internationals in it ? should be fun to watch these lads over the coming weeks to see how they progress. The loanees may even like it and decide to stay like Taylor, Connelly, Thomas etc who all came in as loans to start with.
Could be worse, that great recruitment team at Aldershot have added James Daley, to go with Theo Widdrington, Cian Harris, Jordi Van Stappershoef, Zain Walker (out on Loan) Josh Barrett and Rollin Menayese.
