This bloke seems to do a decent job I never realised how much Jamie Carragher looks like Peter Beardsley!...

It was a raffle ffs! I'd have been surprised if I had won it (what with me not having entered!). No particular surprise that one of the teams in the hat got drawn for me.
I think the word some are looking for is "coincidence" that Thornton Travel arrange a Rovers related trip and won the draw. Just as it would have been if Thatchers won the draw when they have cider for sale in the clubhouse bar! There's probably a similar example possible for all who entered!
Congrats to all winners!

I see they still have to go to Blackburn as well! Yep, that's why it's important Blackburn stay within 2 points. I see what you did there!

They will still spawn it and stay up and the Snake will probably get a couple of crucial goals for them then the Inbreds will be on here giving us stick so I wouldn't give it too large about snakes Taylor it might come back and bite us on the ass---------however if the right things happen and they go down we can really give him some serious sh**!! If Blackburn can stay within 2 points of them the dream is still on. The bottom 2 are gone imo, so just one spot to play for. I see they still have to go to Blackburn as well!

I too think that relegation was the best thing to happen to us, but had we not gone down, we'd have still been in league 2 when Wael went football club shopping and he did say he wouldn't have looked twice if we were in the conference still. Perhaps had we not gone down he would still have bought us when he did. All that said, in the conference year leading up to the buy out, the club got its soul back again. You can't put a price on that. I'm pretty sure that had we been bought out and not had any promotions in the last couple of years that there wouldn't be the same feeling about the club right now. I wouldn't say we were lucky to come back first time, but it's not common. I wouldn't want to risk it again!

Hugo will feel naked! ....ladies? Never mind the ladies, I'll be sitting next to him and thoughts like that will put my off my pie! Anyway that blanket is more than just a shield to Hugo's downstairs area, it has mystical powers (apparently!)

So wrapped up in the politics of this over the last few years, this low quality video brings a lump to the throat and reminds you what we could be on the verge of. I want to walk up those steps and see oversized Rovers badges on the outside of our shiny new stadium and and blue and white quartered flags everywhere!

Everyone except some Leicester fans seem outraged by Ranieri's sacking because it shows the fickle nature of club owners. To be fair to Lansdown, he is sticking with LJ through thin and thin, and even seems to have accepted relegation for both Bristol oval-shaped ball and Bristol round-shaped ball franchises. In fact it might even be a good thing, according to him. At his "meet the fans" thing yesterday, he said, according to one 82er: "Then we moved on and a question was asked about the effects that relegation of the football or the rugby or indeed both would have on Bristol sport. The answer was in my opinion poor, Obviously Steve wants to keep the belief but he answered weakly, 'There will be an impact of attendance dropping off in the football but I think once the initial reaction has gone people will get over it, and being at the top of league one wont be bad as it will restore confidence, where the rugby is concerned attendances have not been what were expected , because we have been away from the top league for so long the interest has been diluted. we need to do a proper sales drive on rugby in Bristol and really generate the interest, being back in the championship with the side we have could go some way to achieving that.' He did finish by saying he hopes that neither club will be relegated." Who says they'd be at the top of league one? How arrogant!

I actually look forward to my curry pie on a Saturday afternoon, but have to agree that they do lack structural integrity. A bit like acquiring the ability to dunk any type of biscuit without it breaking off, eating a pie at the Mem without subsequently wearing any of it is a skill. Master it and the reward are yours. Don't get me started on the cheese and onion crisp situation though. There are other boxes in the cash and carry you know! No more meal deals for me I'm afraid.

Was it in DC's extended interview that he said that we'll never have a top 6 league one budget...until we have the infrastructure in place?
The importance of this purchase is massive.

DC thought he'd gone for nothing in the summer. Instead he got another half a season out of him and a decent return of goals and assists plus around 300k. I don't think MT did badly by us at all there and DC is a pragmatist who will feel the same. It is just where he has gone that has got some people's goat...but to be fair their money is as good as anybody else's to my mind. Hopefully DC will set about unburning the bridges with Easter as I have no doubt that either he or Billy Bob can play the Taylor role (stretching the back line and switching the tempo and focus of the attack). I like the idea of BBB there but it leaves the main contenders for the wide right role as the low on confidence Moore or the short on first team minutes Broom, in fact I'd rather see Leads given a chance at the more advanced role and use it as an opportunity to introduce Partington to first team action in his preferred right back slot. Anyway I guess now we'll get a better look at the back up boys LJ & JL to be able to judge if either can step up. Well said. I think the spin on this (and it's hard to argue with it) is that he could have gone in the summer. He chose to extend then and we got an extra 5 months out of him that we may well not have had. I can handle him having gone. It's just where he's gone. He's either very naive or it's a massive two fingers up to the Gas from him. A very strange career move. Sure he's at an age where he feels he can't turn down the big bucks for his future security, but he could have got that at a number of other clubs who have more potential than the 82ers. I wish him no injury, but more than ever I wish them relegation. Judas.

I can picture the scene when you got off the train, Wael with his matchday programme rolled up in his hand, thrashing Hamer over the head with it saying "first that landing lights bullshit and now this, I told you to keep your mouth shut Steve!"

I couldn't be less ITK, but my guess is that when the silence is finally broken, it's with pictures of a cometely different stadium on a completely different site. I think things have been quiet for too long now with UWE. Wael knows that if he is going to announce that UWE is off, he has to announce new plans at the same time. The further down the line he can be with this when he announces it the better.

And - I have said this before - if you're going to listen to a bloke who calls himself "The Real Keith Chimp" you need to have a word with yourself Up at Chesterfield, when asked about this dipstick and his latest utterances, Steve Hamer said it was 'absolute rubbish' Did anyone ask him about the current status of the landing lights?!
