Wonder what huge announcements will be made.
I'll settle for Clarks Pies instead of those bloody awful pasties

When Rovers approached Dover, they were told it was £250,00 or no deal. We'd be nuts to pay that for a non proven League player of his age.
Now it's a case of do we still want him and if so what the signing on fee and salary should be. If it's not enough we move on.

Sorry just have to agree to disagree on Sincs. If you sign another creative midfielder (which we should do) you still need another central midfielder to cover all the gaps that Sinclairs running everywhere causes. In a three man midfield it is Ok - in a two man midfield it is disastrous. Did you honestly think Lines gave a performance to warrant your score? If Lines did his job, we would retain possession far more and Sincs would not have to go all over the pitch to win the ball back.

Though Billy had a good game, I'm glad Moore got it if only for encouraging him into the future. Billy is already a confident player, that is what we now need from Moore. The MoM will help with that.

You really ought to go in the bar Steve and watch the game again. Lines passing was truly awful yet again. Scored a decent goal set up by Billy, but little creativity himself. I was stood with a Rovers newbie today, and every now and again he commented on Sincs and his never give up attitude, and how we could do with a creative midfielder with the same attitude.

I'd say his Mrs is homesick ,all the very best Steve. Told his wife suffers with an arthritic condition, which is eased in a warmer climate. Hope they have a long and happy sojourn in the sunshine. Big loss to the club Steve.

Last I heard was that everything ok other than UWE want guarantees in place to ensure the build once started will be completed. Apparently UWE wanted the Mem tied to the UWE as a guarantee of completion. Rovers refused, so the other way of doing it is by lodging a bond to guarantee it. Trouble is this is quite expensive.
I assume this is the cause of what is hopefully the last holdup.

So DC has released two out of the four skilful players. Easter and Montano leaving Lines and Bodin. Not really surprised as DC prefers to have players who run around a lot ie Sinclair and Moore. When I said DC would sign 10-12 players people laughed- well who's laughing now? Just hope that DC does a lot better than last year with the signings as to be come atop six side we will need QUALITY footballers and not just hard working ones. Time will tell. If quality is the name of the game then we need a replacement for Lines. He is just not good enough.

We were to play Sheffield Wednesday over there, but it was cancelled by them as they are looking for a higher profile fixture as it is their 150th anniversary apparently.
We have now appointed an agent to try and arrange a fixture, so heaven only knows who we might end up playing.

Not sure the guy who wrote the article has watched him or indeed it may be his agent. At our level, Sweeney is quality. However, I don't think he would make it in the Premiership due to only one reason. Lack of pace. That said, I would love it if he oversees our rise to the championship next season.

Plus 3000 in the family enclosure and 1500 in the east stand enclosure. We are surrounded so we'd better surrender or better still not go. Ffs just go to the game and hope we p*ss on their parade. What are people getting wound up about? I take it you're in a box for the game Terrace guy all my life. went to Millwall. No problem there. Grow a pair

On their forum they seemed to imply there's a fair few of them in the Blackthorn, hence it suddenly selling out. Plus 3000 in the family enclosure and 1500 in the east stand enclosure. We are surrounded so we'd better surrender or better still not go. Ffs just go to the game and hope we p*ss on their parade. What are people getting wound up about?

Purely on the playing side im not sure that wael has made that much difference. Quite agree. I hear the budget we had was bottom 8 of Div 1. I bet the owners would not have fully funded a Championship wage bill of 20m, just to compete and stay up. Current wage bill is probably around 2m..... Burtons players budget was under £6m. As said by their impressive manager. Ours was just over £2.25m as mentioned by ............... at the training day. Difference is that TV revenue in the championship paid for theirs.

Yet again Lines gets away with it. Two decent runs through the middle followed by stupid flicks off the side of his boot instead of a straightforward side foot pass.
Don't blame Sinclair for Lines inadequacy. If he just played simple passes rather than Hollywood ones we would be so much better as an attacking force. That said, even I don't see the use of playing Sincs alongside Lines. So get a replacement for Lines.

This season was a good chance of hitting the Championship, we had momentum and this is a pretty poor league one compared to what it will be like next season. Sheff Utd have ran away with it and Rochdale might get into the play offs.... Rochdale FFS Who in league one next season will be better than Sheffield Utd Bolton etc? In in other words why will it be harder next season? I'd love to know. Are Rotherham and Wigan better than them? Are Doncaster, Plymouth and Portsmouth better than them? Lets wait and see.

Watching numerous DC interviews he always sounds confident re the improved infrastructure and the training ground and stadium plans so I think he may well know exactly what the true state of play is and may be why he wasn't tempted by Leeds or Nowrich! When was he offered the Norwich job exactly, can't remember that? He will stay here no prob.

I've can't see how building a bit of farmland at Almondsbury is going to keep Rovers fans happy if the UWE bites the dust plus if they've bought the 29 acres for just £250K they must be good negotiating given that farm land with no pp potential is worth at least £10K per acre. The land at Almondsbury is what is known in the trade as 'low grade agricultural land'. £250,000 was the most it was worth.
